sometimes the smallest changes make a huge difference lol. before starting chapter 5, I added a tablet shortcut that let me change my brush sizes easily while drawing. I feel like my whole style transformed after that, and it makes it so much easier to add texture
I tried using a lot of solid blacks for the night scene in chapter 4 but I don't love how it looked. I think I executed it a lot better in chapter 5. But I do still like the washed out red and green color palette I used
i started using thinner, more delicate lineart and more muted colors around the end of chapter 3. i want pious to feel like exploring a haunted gothic house in a lacy nightgown with a candle. quiet. a little spooky. romantic. i still love how some of these pages look
chapter 3 is also when i started freehanding the panel borders. it takes longer and looks "worse" but i honestly think its adds so much. one of the most important things ive learned about digital art is that u should take the time to make things look shitty on purpose i think its sooo easy to fall into the trap of thinking that making your art neater and more detailed = improvement but more often than not i think it just makes things look stiffer and less interesting
Chapter 6 lets goooooooooooooooo CW: This chapter includes implied suicidal thoughts. Nothing intense or graphic, but please read safely <3

I wont be adding previous/next buttons on here anymore. Now that the comic has its own website, it just takes a lot of extra unnecessary time, especially with how many places I'm cross posting. Apologies for any inconvenience. I hope it wont be too much trouble for anyone!
chapter 2 was the first time i changed the art style to try to capture more of a fairytale vibe. i played with even more variety in chapter 3 but its been a while since a scene really called for it. v excited to be goin wild with it in chapter 6!!!
