hope the extremely long hiatus makes sense now lol I've had the gif sketched out for like a year now but ive just been putting it off and putting it off. And even when I got to The Week Of The Chapter, i became so unmotivated by the idea of completing it that my one piece drawing hyperfixation like fizzled out of existence and i moved to OC art.

Then one night I was complaining about it to some friends, like "can you believe i took 2 years of college in a 3D and Animation major to become an animator??? i cant even get through a 26 frame animation of a project that i love!" and then that night i cranked out the entire rest of the line art and some of the coloring, like 15 frames wtf was i on. i think i simply needed to complain about it to get it done.

anyway, im so glad to finally have this out, im so excited for you guys to see it. :))))))

If I haven't made it blatantly known before, I actually have a multitude of art style at my disposal. So if my hands will not cooperate with the one for the day, I usually can switch to one of the others. This one is one of my more cartoony/simplified versions. (I will be drawing Ivankov one day, or even just going in and coloring the slide in this one because the drawing of them here is just *Chef's kiss* My art style did them justice here, and I couldn't love it more. This doesn't actually happen in her info, But Ivankov and Sabo both give her a hard time for going between missions and visiting Whitebeards crew frequently. (Also, because I don't like the idea that he's actually gone, this is in an AU where Thatch does survive, but these two goons just give her a hard time and make her worry for nothing, lol.)

As promised, I have started to go down the rabbit hole of spam art I will be putting out for the next few hours or so. As I said in my heads up, I wanted to try and get all of my platforms up to date and evened out with all of the art that I have stock piled from my other social media accounts. And with the amount of art that I have, it will most likely come up as spam. Anyways, this lovely piece. This is actually two years old now. The last date I have of this piece was back in 2022. I actually have a speedpaint of this up on my YouTube channel. As you can clearly tell with my art, and with as much as I draw Sabo, Ace, and Luffy, my art style of him will have updated dramatically. Se he no longer has a baby face like he does here, lol. Unfortunately, I don't have the save file for this in Clip Studio Paint anymore, so I can't actually go back in and fix anything on this...however, I can redraw it in the near future hopefully! Everytime i think about them meeting again i get the butterflies in my stomach. What will they talk about, what will they show each other, how long will their conversation be? I would love nothing more than to watch them simply speak.

Do you guys think Kuma ever told sabo about Nika when he was young? It makes me so emotional imagining sabo realizing his younger brother is the warrior of liberation he's heard about this whole time. Ugh.

Spade Pirates’ First Mate Sabo AU

Except Sabo and Ace both don’t realize it’s each other because Sabo still has amnesia and Ace can’t recognize Sabo after 7 years because of the mask

This came from the writing prompt someone gave me of Sabo and Deuce interaction and once I got thinking about them I was like. There’s too many parallels. And couldn’t stop thinking about it

In this AU Sabo doesn’t get saved by Dragon, washes up onshore on Goa before he dies, and survives to set sail again a week or so later, but still has amnesia. Realizing that sailing alone as a ten year old is pretty unfeasible though, he stops sailing after the first few islands and lives as a feral forest child on his own for the next seven years until he feels ready and strong enough to try again.

He chooses his own name, Tage (pronounced taj), based on the assumption that Sabo is his last name and his belongings are too ruined to read his given name :) credit to whery for the name pun idea it’s absolutely genius

I might do some short comics for this if I ever get around to it but for now it’s just a loose collection of ideas!

Some notes for this time around!! I played around a lot more this time with poses and zooming in and out and I'm honestly super proud of how it turned out :DDD Coloring took a long while so it might not be feasible to continue doing this amount of rendering for every comic I do,,, but we'll see, I'll continue to experiment with it I guess

I tried my best this time around to use the color blue sparingly to show Tage's shift in personality from generally warm and amicable to just cold and ruthless when fighting. You can see that blue thaw out a little with the victory pose he does and when Ace checks if he's injured. Also the colors for Ace's little reminiscing panel are borrowed from the 1015 luffy/roger dream segment because I always think of it when I think about the three of them as kids...... the colors of the sunrise,,,

I also for some reason had Such A Clear Image of how I wanted the beat up marines to look. One of those very nice moments when what you envision lines up well with what you end up drawing haha

I think I forgot to draw sabo's ponytail more often than I forgot to draw his neck scars this time,,,

I made this before I knew abt them as a group, or abt Sabo (I regret getting attached to him immediately) it was mostly based off spoilers. Anyways, I forgot I made it. Watched Marineford and Post War. And then I remembered abt it so here ya go :3

Sabo Week Day 7 - Sabo Day

i'm so so so glad to be able to celebrate my specialest little guy properly this year!! i care about him immensely, maybe even too much. he's got me in a grip for sure.

if i was a bit more confident in my phrasing and wording skills i would turn this post into a proper, cringy lovemail, but thankfully for you, i am not, so i'll let my own existence be the testament of my love for him instead.

where's the fun in things you specifically do for fun if you can't be extremely self-indulgent at least once?

i love the idea of sabo and law running into each other repeatedly during the timeskip, especially if it's during one of sabo's missions. i want this boy to be silly and have fun so he can ignore the pain that's corroding him from the inside even more than usual, and who would be a better partner-in-crime than trafalgar law himself?

p.s. this was supposed to be kiiind of a "parallel" to day 4 (same but opposite composition, the contrast between teen sabo and ya sabo, etc) but i don't think any person outside of my own self would get it. i'm just too stupid

given my inability to draw anything thats even remotely sad (or emotional in any way), i went with teen sabo and teen koala for today :3

based on my headcanon that sabo isn't that good at fishman karate- well, he is, but he got rusty after focusing on other types of combat with dragon- so koala would always spar with him only to kick his butt everytime, resulting in sabo growing frustrated. definitely a cherished memory for him
