Well, might as well get this review done as soon as possible.
Hi, I'm Beo the Moth, and welcome to my Nightmare on Elm Street review!
This film is probably one of the most popular slasher films out there alongside Friday the 13th and Halloween. Wes Craven took the standard slasher formula and added some twists to it.
Before we get into this film, what is it all about? It is about a group of teens experiencing all the same nightmare with the same man. When one of them dies, they need to find a way to stop this dream murderer before they all go into the everlasting slumber of death.
So, what did I think about it? I thought it was great!
First off, everyone gives a good performance! Everyone from Heather Langenkamp to Johnny Depp in his first ever film role! But by far the big standout is Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger. This performance is so intense and creepy that you just can't help but appreciate it!
The effects, they still hold up to this day!! I still hear people talk about how this movie scares them! It's That Good!! And definitely better than the sequels and...somehow even the Remake.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is simply a classic in the genre, and you owe it to yourself to watch it!
I give a 10/10!
Hm...Two positive reviews.
I need to balance it out a bit, at least before the Halloween Review.
Ah shit, I spoiled the surprise! Oh well...See you all later.
Billy loomis could stab me and I'd thank him
