The baby probably goes by bird logic. Being that as a chick most of them are ugly little bastards. Not even close to resemblance to their parents and often times look like used gum that later looks like used gum rolled in lint.
As they mature though they start to become more and more mesmerizing creatures. Perhaps the baby will begin to grow strength and in turn learn how to Handle their own weight. A mix of new metallic features as well as organic. Eyes that share different hues like their human mother yet hold stern like their sire.
Perhaps their body takes better to additional metal attachments. Able to bare armor similar to a cybertronains natural flesh. Maybe the child could even learn cybertronain and speak in the same tongue as their sire and his kind.
I would just find it hilarious for the baby to be a ugly fuck to only then grow into a very pretty human/cybertronain mix
What was Autobot base like when Optimus had his little stupid ugly fucking baby especially with the humans reaction like Fowler,jack,Miko and Raf
other than the "holy shit I didn't know humans and bots could reproduce!" reaction during the pregnancy, they all have... mixed feelings on the baby. They all expected it to look cool as hell, but it's the smallest. ugliest, barely plated looking thing ever. It squeaks occasionally and likes being in its Sire's servo. Raf and Jack are mostly polite about it, with Raf showing a bigger interest in the baby (he's dealt with younger siblings before - so he's no stranger to its strange shape and noises - even if it's extra weird). Jack tries his hardest to find something nice to say about it before Arcee just tells him to let it go. Miko is mildly disappointed because she was hoping for the coolest-looking techno-organic monster ever! Meanwhile it's kinda cute if you look at it right. Don't let her babysit tho Fowler is sick of this shit. He already had to jump through so many hoops trying to make sure you got the adequate care and tests for carrying this biological impossibility - at this point just make him the Godfather (along with Ratchet). He will cry because he gets to be part of this fucked up baby's alien family
