STREAMCLAN - RISE OF THE CLANS
OVERVIEW
A Clan with a tumultuous past carving out a better future for themselves, StreamClan is best recognised by their unique talent to swim. More often than not, they are viewed as haughty by their fellow Clans thanks to their eye for detain, enjoying spending time grooming themselves and others. Their territory is not easily traversable for the uninitiated, with streams and rivers dominating the land. While the Clan sleeps, they are carefully guarded by their dutiful Rangers, who patrol the night.
TERRITORY
StreamClan territory is dominated by streams and ponds, varying from a few tail-lengths deep to merely a pawstep deep. In greenleaf, this territory is rich in prey and healer herbs. No cat has heard of a thin StreamClan warrior; they are always well fed. Cats that live in this territory typically have webbed paws that help these warriors swim, and typically have thick, beautiful pelts. The main prey found here are freshwater fish, minnows, and the occasional forest creature like squirrels and mice. The main predators are foxes, badgers on the outskirts of the territory, and large birds of prey. Predators can be uncommon, however, due to the abundance of water running throughout the territory. Besides swimming, the only way to access this territory is by the dangerous stepping stones found on both sides of the territory. In times of rain, these stones are anything but existent, submerged by water.
DAILY LIFE
StreamClan cats often share tongues as a bonding activity, to help maintain their thick pelts. As a result, they often come off as vain and haughty to other Clans. It's not uncommon to see StreamClan warriors use flowers as a way to help add color to their pelts. Swimming is also another activity StreamClan cats love to participate in, especially during the hot midday of greenleaf. With bountiful prey, most StreamClan cats also love to eat, to the point that cats have the freedom to be extremely picky with what they eat. Border patrols are lax with rainy days, as the rain causes the streams to swell and cover the only way into the territory; only a truly foolish non-StreamClan cat would dare try to swim through those rapids.
SPECIALTY RANKS
Sleek and stealthy, StreamClan’s Rangers were introduced by Quillstar in an effort to stop nighttime attacks on the Clan. Unlike the typical warrior, these cats work primarily alone at night, patrolling StreamClan’s vast marshlands or standing guard at camp. Due to the irregularity of their active hours, Rangers are not required to participate in daytime patrols, but are encouraged to do so if they wish. Rangers are required to know basic herbal knowledge in the circumstance that they, or another Ranger, are injured and unable to be quickly seen by a Healer. For covert missions, Rangers are the first choice, and it is preferable that they are able to be stealthy and able to quickly hide themselves from potential foes for sneak attacks or quick getaway. They are required to work closely with StreamClan’s Leader, reporting their findings for the night and participating in any covert operations that need them. A cat can begin training underneath the Rangers after completing their Warrior’s training.
ROCKCLAN - RISE OF THE CLANS
OVERVIEW
RockClan is most known for their resillience in the face of adversity. Their lifestyle -- living in the depths of boulders and mountainous lands -- is a life that only the strongest can truly thrive in. To water down RockClan to simply tough is a disservice to the family that makes up this Clan. As close as they come, RockClan warriors would do whatever it takes to defend their home. Their land is carefully guarded by their Sentries, cats who are trained to watch and survey for potential threats.
TERRITORY
RockClan's territory is by far the most perilous territory to live in- the territory consists of very mountain-like terrain, complete with large boulders and douglas fir trees. Mudslides and rock slides occur frequently, and it's very hard to traverse the territory. As a result, RockClan warriors are some of the toughest cats you're ever going to meet. RockClan warriors have paw pads that're tougher than hide and are very muscular, making any sort of climbing in this territory a breeze. The main prey found here are voles, moles, shrews, and occasionally an adder or an armadillo. The main predators found here are large birds of prey, coyotes, foxes, and large venomous snakes.
DAILY LIFE
RockClan like to keep up a profile of extremely tough cats. To help keep this image, it's a common bonding activity on patrol to sharpen one's claws on the rocks along the border, for the other clans to see. Whoever makes the largest scratch marks gets bragging rights, and gets to lead the rest of the patrol. From a young age, kits will challenge one another to see who can push the biggest rock in camp. This continues as a competitive activity into warriorhood; this can be dangerous, and has led to injuries, so it is frowned upon by senior warriors and leadership positions. Despite this gruff and tough outward appearance, RockClan is actually very easy going with one another and truly care about each other. They are extremely loyal, and will put aside personal differences to defend their Clanmate from outside trouble. Once a RockClan cat, always a RockClan cat.
SPECIALTY RANKS
With the uptick in trouble caused by rogue and forces unknown to the Clans, the leadership of RockClan decided that it was time for a specialized role in keeping a watchful eye out for the Clan. Sentries are a rank that specialize in surveillance and dexterity. They are expected to hone their climbing skills to perfection to effortlessly scale the mountainous terrain of RockClan. They are typically stationed at high vantage points such as trees and boulders both solo and with their fellow Sentries for day and night patrols. They are known to work closely with the Deputy, keeping them updated with anything concerning or notable they may have seen on their patrols. A cat can begin training underneath the Sentries after completing their Warrior’s training.

1. REQUIRED READING: Please read all of the following prior to joining:

2. JOIN THE DISCORD SERVER: You are required to become a spectator of the discord server before anything else. The join link can be found below. Once you have joined, please follow the #spectator-form-submission channel's instructions! The moderator team will then review your form, and accept/deny your submission. From there, you will be granted the spectator role.
3. COMPLETE YOUR CHARACTER'S APPLICATION: Before beginning to create your character, please check the official character roster to see which Clans, ranks, and names are open! You will need to complete both a visual and written application, on our official RotC character sheets. Our character creation guide is linked below, along with links to these resources.
4. SUBMIT YOUR CHARACTER TO THE GROUP: To submit your completed character, please open a new ticket in the discord server. From there, you will submit the following:
CHARACTER NAME: BIO LINK: And upload your character's visual reference directly to the moderator team.
The moderator team will then review, and either approve your character, or request changes prior to acceptance. From there in the ticket after your character is accepted, the moderator team will work with you to get you set up from a spectator, to a full member of RotC!

CLANS OF THE LAKE - RISE OF THE CLANS
The Clans of the Lake consist of four feral cat communities, known as WoodClan, ValleyClan, RockClan, and StreamClan. They follow what is known as the warrior code, living as warriors in the wild.
Their four territories lie next to one another, next to a lake. The terrain and foliage is vast in its variety, with the mountains close by in the north, and ocean not too far away in the south. In between are varied forests, streams, and other varying foliage.

WoodClan lives in a tight-knit pine forest, the paths among it known only to the Clan itself.

ValleyClan lives among the sloping hills and valleys, next to the large, bustling Twoleg farm.

VALLEYCLAN - RISE OF THE CLANS
OVERVIEW
Living underneath the sun and sleeping underneath the stars, ValleyClan sees the world at its best and worst. Their lands are as vast and free as they come, with rolling hills and fields of flowers. ValleyClan is known for their 'get up and go' personalities, loving exercise and running through their beautiful land. Their specialty ranks of choice, the Sentinels and the Guardians, are trained to guard and keep watch from any incoming threats.
TERRITORY
The territory is characterized by large hills. The ground underpaw is half grass, half dirt and sand. The grass varies in length, from dense tall grass to large patches of short but soft grass. Sparse bushes dot the territory; anything larger in vegetation is rare. There are very few trees, save along the borders; any few trees found among the sloping hills are long dead. Out of all the territories, this territory has the most interaction with Twolegs. From a fully functional farm to remnants of past farming attempts, these cats are no strangers to the ways of these strange creatures. The main prey here are rabbits, pheasants, and very rarely, hawks. The main predators that can be found here are coyotes, badgers, and the occasional fox or large bird of prey. The cats that live here are wiry and typically brown-colored, to blend in with their territory.
DAILY LIFE
Having no tree cover, ValleyClan members are typically early birds: they get up at the crack of dawn! These cats typically use phrases that associate with the farm close by; examples of phrases include "soft as a sheep's pelt," "cow dung," and "A rooster's flight away." ValleyClan members have a slight advantage to running then other Clans, due to their wiry builds: they are built for speed. As a result, kits love to play tag and chase one another for games; this love of running continues into warriorhood. Warriors often challenge each other to races for fun, though these competitions can get heated easily for bragging rights. As the competition gets more serious, it's not uncommon to barter prey, and even morning patrol shifts.
SPECIALTY RANKS
Following the invasion of the Pack in ValleyClan’s territory, the new leader, Lilystar, and her deputy instated two new ranks in an effort to keep the fragile Clan sage from future threats. These ranks are the Guardian and the Sentinel. The Guardians act as ValleyClan’s first line of defense, and are set to patrol the perimeter closest to camp. Cats who decide to step into this position must be adept in all sorts of fighting styles. The Sentinels are regarded as the eyes and ears of ValleyClan. They patrol the outskirts of ValleyClan’s territory and report signs of oncoming danger to the Guardians. Sentinels are expected to be quick, prioritising speed over strength in order to be a carrier of information. A cat can begin training underneath the Guardians and Sentinels after completing their Warrior’s training.

Welcome to Rise of the Clans (RotC), a fantasy discord-based RPG directly inspired by the warrior cats series created by Erin Hunter. You are not expected, nor required, to have read any official canon material released to be a part of this group! All lore developed is original, based on the worldbuilding from the canon series.
This group originally started over on deviantart several years ago, as a deviantart and skype hosted RP. Over the years, the group has changed with the times, and was formally rebooted and opened to the group it is today, on August 19th, 2019! With deviantart's recent forced changes, RotC has left deviantart for good, and is now hosted on Discord, with a google website (coming soon!) in tandem.
Rise of the Clans is set in a fictional region in the United States, generally assumed to be located around the Pacific Northwest! As a result, there are a variety of naturally occurring phenomena, such as mountain ranges, lakes, marshes, the ocean, as well as more urban lifestyle, with a city located far away, along the ocean's coast. Weather can be extreme being so close to the ocean, as well as closer to the United State's northern border.
Communities of feral felines have come to dwell in several places across the region. From the city to the mountains, felines live all different walks of life.
There are four Clans that reside besides a lake with territories filled with diverse terrain and foliage, known as WoodClan, ValleyClan, RockClan, and StreamClan. Up within the mountains are a feline community known as Fjell'Byr, who organize themselves into factions to support a united, large population. Outside of these populations are rogues, loners, and kittypets.
This roleplay is plot-driven, both by an overarching groupwide plot, as well as both indirect and direct influences by personal character plots. As a result, roleplay mechanics are always updating and expanding, as members contribute and introduce new canon. Through group participation to earn group currency, simply called "points", your character can unlock potential plots that can result in permanent, canonizing changes to the roleplay.
We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and encourage character creation from all walks of LGBTQ+ life!

he was bullied by his sisters moms princess friend mean girl group into running away into the forest forever- soon finding thunderclan. turns out the ghost of firestar was looking for him due to a prophecy that involved him and new firestar (reincaranated) taking out the construction workers in the forest territory and then they all move back there- so he did that with his new power from all of the starclan cats whcih was very super original- walking in dreams.
he also got a cat girlboyfriend from another clan which was reincaranated spottedleaf named spottedleaf- and that made new firestar jelous. so they had a super cool battle with claws, epic fire and cool thunder-he soon killed new firestar and he died forever again so big'fo0t became b1g'st@r and married spottedleaf, they also had kits named deadkit, macchiatokit, oldkit, twolegkitkit and tigerstar3kit. the end the end this was surprisingly fun to write tbh XDD
