Me when the autism kicks in while I'm in the middle of talking with a friend:

Apparently for my history degree I'll have to write a 40 page thesis for my senior project and although I'm more than a few years away from having to do that assignment I'm already thinking about ideas for the thesis

Something I have trouble with as an autistic woman is knowing whether or not I'm friends with someone unless I ask them and even then I question it

For example a teacher told us that we could work with friends for an assignment and I had to ask someone I considered a friend if we were friends before I asked him to work with me on the project

Not to start shit but you ever think about how most men will never post on International men's day but when it's international women's day they complain all the time about international men's day not getting any attention

Men's mental health month is also in June but many of them would rather complain about gay people having pride month than actually use that month to talk about men's mental health

As an autistic woman nothing is more frustrating than when the school doesn't think I'll need services but then surprise surprise not so much of a surprise guess who needed services (Me!!!)

If I'm entirely honest one of the harder things about being a feminist is simply realizing how pervasive misogyny still is even in the United States. Like Roe v Wade got overturned and women are being thrown in jail for needing life saving abortions. Yet men will face less time in prison for putting abortion pills in their girlfriends/wives' drinks. Absolute Insanity

I find it extremely strange how men will complain about the draft and women not taking high risk jobs but if anything they should be blaming other men or their ancestors for this since it was men who decided women couldn't join the work force or the military

I’ve also never really heard a man go “Hope that makes sense” after he’s done talking about something yet most of the women (myself included though I’m trying to break the habit) I know say it all the time even if they’re near experts on what they’re talking about. Men get to exist and have thoughts but we have to have a bunch of disclaimers around it

its rare that you will hear of anyone other than a woman being described as 'opinionated' because a man with an opinion is simply a man but a woman with one is clearly malfuctioning as she defies her programming

The fact the feminism tag on tumblr is filled with porn genuinely disturbs me. It’s always feminization porn too which makes it worse to be honest. I’m very much against the concept of porn as is and this only makes me more mad that the average person on tumblr looking up feminism will find this kind of stuff

And usually they don’t even tag it with NSFW so it’s not like I can actively block the tags to avoid it and it gets tiring blocking every other account in the hopes that I’ll actually find some decent feminist content

Hi y'all, I'm kat (spelled with a lowercase k on purpose) and I am an adult autistic woman who is still in her education journey as of now. Although I've been on this hellsite for awhile I thought I'd update this about me to reflect the kind of stuff I plan to post

For the record I am alright with minors interacting on this blog though I will tag posts with "aunt kat's adult topics chats" if they are nsfw or something I'd rather not the minors who follow me interact with (More under the cut)

I am a feminist and I make no qualms about discussing my beliefs around feminism on my blog due to the fact I consider this blog a space to get my thoughts out though I am always seeking to educate myself on issues that I am less familiar with. Due to the fact I am American and white i recognize that I will have gaps in my knowledge and thus I seek to empower voices that have more credence than my own on certain topics. My hope is that I will be able to compile blogs that are comfortable being listed on a post I plan to make for resources on subjects that I do not consider myself an expert on

My asks will be open to both public and anonymous questions however I will more often than not be very delayed in responding to asks so I apologize in advance to anyone who sends time sensitive asks.
