I know we talk a lot about how smitten Michael is, how much Adam has an archangel wrapped around his finger, the way Michael is head over heels in love and all that, which don’t get me wrong is true that boy is devoted, but I just don’t think we talk enough about how much Adam loves him.

Sure, Michael chose to leave heaven and his family behind for Adam and that’s great, but Adam was alone. Can we discuss how honoured and loved he must have felt that he just had someone who was willing to listen to him and just talk about life with. His mother is gone, John is John, his brothers betrayed and abandoned him, although he is well-adjusted considering he witnessed his mothers death and, well, going to hell with an archangel inside of him, he probably thought at one point that when they got bac to earth that he would just have to keep moving. Go back to collage, get a job, try to be a normal person again.

How can you try to find the meaning in life when your life has been so drastically altered?

But Michael stays with him. Michael sits at a Diner with him. Michael listens to him make stupid jokes and understands the feeling of loosing faith in your family. They bond and have formed a strong connection for thousands of years (or however long they were in the cage for????) Michael protects him and takes the time to still let him live in his own body, how astonishing would it be to have the prince of Heaven allow you to still do the things you want to do, see, and accomplish in life all the while he gets to teach said angel about the world itself.

I just don’t think we talk enough about Adam being smitten, can we talk more about it please????

Honestly, no wonder Michael abandoned everything for Adam. This dude asks you to spend existence with him while he lovingly helps you through your daddy issues, shit I’d leave too😍

Currently obsessing over the idea of Michael and Adam getting separated (Like Michael leaving the vessel for whatever reason, maybe a case or something???) and Adam gets hurt or like tortured and Michael just goes fucking FERAL.

Like, they might be helping the Winchesters and Castiel out for once, just cause they need like Michael’s power or something, but then Adam and him get split from each and Adam gets kidnapped by these monsters who like beat the shit out of him and finally Michael finds them and once Michael sees what they’ve done to Adam he just- looses his fucking shit. I’m talking smiting all the monsters, breaking the windows, bursting bulbs and probably ruptures the sound barrier for a sec.

And then after all this damage he quickly goes over to Adam and cradles him so softly and with such gentle care he heals all his wounds and soothes him and asks if he’s okay and then re-posses him so he can wrap himself back around Adam’s soul and find peace again. All the while Dean, Sam, and Cas just watch on like tf happened? Two seconds ago you were ready to kill everything within sight???

idk if anyone has done it yet but i had this really weird thought a few days ago about adam milligan’s story as a character. he’s nobody to the main plot, has two in some way evil half-brothers who have main character syndrome, his mother died when he was young, and he ends up with a prince at the end of the story. you know who else was nobody to the main plot, had two evil half-sisters, etc? cinderella. my dude adam milligan is a disney princess. argue with the wall

You want to know what got me started on this midam train? Way back in the day, before Jake Abel came along and legitimized us all with the strength of his romantic chemistry with himself?

It was such a small detail, but to present it right, I need to set a little foundation. I need to talk about angel fashion.

That’s right! I’m fascinated by the clothing choices of the angels we see throughout the series, and I could get into it for hours, but I won’t. For the sake of brevity, I’m just going to sketch out my obsession briefly: every regime change in Heaven has its own dress code. Even in the in the later seasons, when it looks like they’re all just wearing bland basics, subtle changes still crop up as the leadership changes hands. How official this is in Heaven is uncertain. It could be playing off Lucifer’s assertion that, “Angels were made to follow,” like it’s something in their hardwiring that makes them want to emulate whoever’s in charge, but we don’t know.

Michael’s regime was suits. Dark suits in particular—in contrast to Lucifer’s white victory suit we see in season 5’s false apocalyptic future–with neck ties that frequently, though not always, feature a pattern reminiscent of multiple staring eyes. And we can tell where certain angels are in terms of Heavenly morale by how closely they follow the dress code. Joshua, heaven’s gardener, sees himself as too insignificant in the plans of upper management, and doesn’t bother to wear the uniform at all. Uriel is losing faith, and he appears without the tie and with his shirt unbuttoned. Zachariah loosens his tie when he thinks that Michael’s about to destroy him for his failure with the Winchesters, but straightens it when Michael gives him a second chance with Adam.

Raphael, in one of the most tragic examples, gives no fucks about clothes when they don their vessel and talk about the death of God and allude to their own severe depression in season 5, but they wear Michael’s uniform to the letter in season 6. Because in season 6, Raphael’s feelings are being pushed aside, because Michael is in trouble, and Raphael has a mission: rescue him. And as Raphael squares off against Castiel, they’re announcing their loyalty to Michael through this manner of dress, Michael’s #2 to the end.

And in a truly curious move, Castiel continues to wear Michael’s uniform under his trench coat throughout the series. I have theories on that. For another day.

But what’s even more curious is that Michael never once wears the uniform himself. He could have. He had time to change between Adam’s yes and Sam’s. The closest we ever see on screen is with AU Michael, and it’s not perfect. The colors are off. Browns and reds rather than OG Michael’s black accentuated with cool blues, greys, and whites.

And one thing that you could infer from this, is that I’m crazy. The angels just rock whatever clothing their vessels happen to be wearing at the time of their “yes.” That’s certainly what I think was the case with Castiel’s trench coat, before Cas began to associate it with his identity outside of Heaven. But then…

Not only does Michael not show up in his uniform. He shows up wearing Adam’s jacket.

Adam hadn’t been wearing that jacket when Michael possessed him. He took it off! We don’t even see it draped over Adam’s chair, we don’t see it in his hands when he’s pounding on the door calling for Dean’s help. Wherever that jacket is, it’s nowhere in immediate sight!

And mind you, angels don’t get affected by hot or cold—that’s why Cas never feels the need to take the trench coat off. Nor would this plain cotton jacket provide Michael with any significant protection in a cosmic fight against the devil. There was no immediate need for Michael to bother with it.

Michael was trying to do something nice for his vessel. Adam was bloodied and scared, and regretting what he agreed to, but Michael couldn’t let him go. So he cleaned Adam’s shirt, and he fished out the dumb jacket and put it on even though it wasn’t his style, so Adam would at least have all of his things together when they were done. He went out of his way, because, even though his hands were tied, he wanted to be kind.

And after years of germination, that thought turned me into a devoted shipper.

I know it’s been said before but Michael and Adam should’ve gotten more screen time, together or apart idc I just wanted them and their relationship to grow more.

And I sincerely appreciate everyone in the Midam community for creating an entire fandom in of itself about these characters who got so little character development and even less scenes together all just because a collective amount of us immediately saw their potential and how healthy their love fits together.

It’s on days like these where I randomly open tumblr and come across posts like these that I once again thank the entire Midam community for pulling me back into the depths of obsession.

[TAKES A DEEP BREATH] [SCREAMS] god this is why i need all the fix-it fics where all the angels come back from the empty, because i NEED raphael and gabriel to see their big stern brother completely besotted with this one human and tease him MERCILESSLY.

the way adam can so easily call michael 'buddy/bud' and scold him.. im FINE. look i know this all sounds very repetitive and im sorry but JESUS CHRIST. WHAT A RELATIONSHIP THEY HAVE.

i don't think i have enough words in my vocabulary to express just how much i ADORE adam. he is so caring and gentle and the time in the cage also made him so understanding and compassionate. like, he was before too, don't get me wrong, but he also had all this anger (completely justified, mind you!!) and of course even now there are some things he will never be able to completely forgive ([coughs] the winchesters) but he is so.. idk, wise, now?? and with michael he is so SO forgiving, like he would have all the reasons to be fucking pissed with michael but instead he is so kind in his scolding and in pointing out what michael did wrong IM LOSING MY GODDAMN MIND OVER THIS.

[HEAD IN MY HANDS] of course. of course michael's nr. 1 fear would be to be a disappointment. he lived his whole existence trying not to disappoint his father, someone who probably punished and diminished him as soon as michael did something he disapproved of. someone who was always cold and distant and didn't care. but adam is there saying 'yes you made a mistake. yes i expected more from you. it doesn't make me love you any less.' and how incredible and new that must be for michael? MAKES ME WANNA CRY FRIENDS.

michael getting so excited about mcdonald's of all things.. like it's so funny but also THE MOST PRECIOUS THING. and i love that technically angels only taste molecules when they eat stuff, which means that either michael can taste things through adam or.. idk some molecules taste better than others?? and i can't stop thinking about adam offering michael different food to eat because there MUST be something he can taste and michael doesn't see the point because he doesn't NEED to eat and adam explains it's about enjoying things and michael eventually relents (because OF COURSE HE DOES, but he tries stuff ONLY if adam feeds him directly with his fork or his hand) and so the list of things michael enjoys about humanity expands to 1) adam 2) mcdonald's

The real struggle of a writing is having an idea for a particular scene between characters and knowing exactly how you want the scene to go but not knowing how to write the beginning or the end of the story.

Another missed opportunity done by CW, these two needed to have at least one conversation together. Like, imagine Gabe meeting Adam he’d be like “so your the one that made Mikey go soft?” And Adam is just like huh and Michael is just embarrassed and regretting Gabriel even being here.

Gabe would undoubtedly be their couples therapist. Fixing their relationship because he low key loves Adam and secretly wants Michael to be happy.

Another NSFW (kinda) Destiel Headcanon - this ones more story centric but still:

Cas doesn’t really get horny as he’s stated to Dean before - much to dean’s disappointment - but assured Dean that he still very much likes and enjoys sex with him.

This all changes one day.

Dean has to go undercover at some highly religious/Angel-worshipping cult town and is forced to wear traditional biblical clothing that includes a gold belt, white cloth that only covers the back and front, gold bracelets around his wrists, ankles, and neck, a gold headpiece and enochian writing displayed across his naked chest. And the enochian is a prayer to the angel Castiel, becasuse Sam’s sneaky like that.

He complains to Sam about how hippy he looks for awhile but then, just before they leave Cas comes out saying he’s ready to go and stops once he sees Dean.

His eyes go wide, he’s silent, and they’ve never seen him so still.

Concerned Dean asks “what’s wrong Cas? Cas?” Dean steps closer and cups the angels face, Cas still hasn’t reacted, it’s like his eyes are solely focused on Dean’s pupils. Really worried now, Dean leans in a little more and whispers “….Castiel?” The next thing they know every light in the bunker explodes violently.

For the entire hunt Cas is very smiley and noticeably more lovey-dovey and touchy towards Dean than usual. It’s like he’s been put under a love spell or something Dean thinks. They have a total of 5 heavy make out sessions throughout the case, and once they get back to the bunker they go 7 rounds.

Now Dean isn’t complaining, he just doesn’t know what brought all this on? because he’s oblivious. Although, he’s more than accepting to the extra praise, touchiness, and romance Cas has been giving him, maybe this new cologne really does work? He thinks to himself at one point.

In the end Sam keeps the outfit as a favour for Dean. Cas loves the outfit and is going to make Dean wear it as often as possible.

NSFW Destiel Headcanon:

The first time they had sex Dean cried after he came. He got super embarrassed about it almost immediately after because he’s never reacted like that before, and Cas immediately thought he had done something wrong. Dean assured him it was just him being stupidly overwhelmed by emotions, yep nothing to worry about he definitely won’t ever do it again *wink wink* Cas will never tell him, but Dean looked very pretty with watery green eyes and a blushing face.

Something I picked up on in 15x8 that I think is really cute, Michael didn’t see Lilith until the very last second, you can see just before the camera switches to Adam that Michael looks up startled because he recognises Lilith. So are you telling me that Michael, Archangel warrior who can sense wavelengths changing, was so focused on listening to Adam explain why he wants a little job that he didn’t notice when Lilith walked into the diner?

Random Take or whatever. But I’m re-watching some supernatural episodes and I was so interested in Magda from S12E4 becoming a reoccurring character??? Like the connection she and Sam have in that episode, the fatherly & daughter bond they share about their psychic powers, that little moment she and Sam have in the ambulance where he says that she can call him for anything at anytime???? Please, it’s giving Sabriel love-child. So sad she got killed by an evil Brit in the end :(

One of my personal head-canons is that when Chuck was forming the animals of the world he asked all the angels to pitch in and create some animals of their own. So he obviously asked the archangels first, so I like the idea that Gabriel created platypuses, giraffes, kangaroos and seahorses.

Going along with this idea, I also think that Gabriel gets really happy whenever he hears people refer to them selves as seahorse dads (a term that pregnant trans men call themselves).

Castiel probably created a lot of cat species (tigers, panthers, lions, bobcats etc.) which is why he likes cats so much.

AND- I also believes that certain animals love their angel or archangel creators. So stray cats nuzzle up to Castiel’s leg whenever he’s near an alleyway. At victims homes their pet kitties jump onto his lap happily. And on one weird case investigation, a cougar licked his hand and moved aside after Cas asked if he, Dean and Sam could go through. Dean and Sam asked him about it later and Cas simply responded “She was just protecting her cubs, I assured her we meant no harm.”

This goes for Gabe too. He’s out on a lunch date with Sam or something and snaps them to the zoo because Sam says he’s never been. So they eventually get to the giraffe exhibit and Sam’s trying to take a picture of them but they’re so far away they won’t face his camera. Obviously, Sam being sad and pouty for the rest of the day because he can’t get the photo he wants won’t do so Gabe goes up to the railing and yells out to one of the Giraffes. It turns around immediately and starts walking over towards them along with all the others in the exhibit, Sam stands there in shock and watches as Gabriel rests his hands on the giraffes face lovingly then looks back at Sam, “c’mon Samela, Take a picture their posing for you”
