Michael LOVES roughhousing as a form of showing love because it reminds him of how he used to play fight in heaven with his siblings, when he did it with Adam for the first time and knocked him onto the floor he was scared because he thought that Adam would be scared of him but Adam just smiled and laughed and he was ecstatic!

Adam’s a cuddler. My personal take is that neither of them start out cuddling, they’ll go to bed a comfortable distance away each other but still close enough to know that the other one is there (Abandonment issues) (Maybe there like facing each other?) And then by morning Adam is completely on top of Michael, borderline smothering him with his limbs octopus style. Meanwhile Michael just stays stiff as a board repeating Don’t wake him up Don’t wake him up Don’t wake him up Don’t wake him up DON'T FUCKING- Over and over again in his head as Adam just tucks and nuzzles his face into his neck

Michael never understood the concept of human pleasure. Or more specifically how it felt. He only knew how it was supposed to happen cause that’s all he had been taught and of course during his ‘high and mighty’ days he would never want to watch the earth monkeys go at it, so he just didn’t care. That is until he focused on Adam’s pleasure. I personally believe that they had their whole soul-sex thing going on for a while but at one point Adam asked Michael if they could try it the human way, obviously Michael said yes and he tends to all of Adam needs immediately. But about halfway through Michael notices an overload of hormones in Adam brain and so he’s like “Adam? are you okay?” And Adam just lifts his head with the most Lust-filled zoned-out half-lidded eyes and is like “…huh?” While panting heavily. Michael now understands human pleasure.

Michael is obviously very protective of Adam. I mean he offers to smite anyone that bumps into Adam too harshly on the street. But he's especially protective around other beings that aren't human and could potentially do serious harm to Adam (Demons, other angels, etc.) This all comes to a head when Adam tags along for one of Michael's meetings in heaven. They decided that Adam would look around while Michael did his work and when his meeting was over he'd come find Adam and take them both home. Michael hadn't given a second thought because its Heaven, its his Home, of course Adam would be safe. But when Michael was finished and went searching for Adam he saw a group of younger angels - who had never visited earth and rarely seen humans - holding Adam upside down and prodding him with their wings and limbs while Adam looked visibly uncomfortable but obviously wasn't able to stop the giant angels. Michael R A G E D and seized Adam back as he basically screamed at the group of angels leaving them shaking and cowering behind their primary feathers, all that stopped him from smiting them was the fact that Adam pulled on his feathers and asked to go home, and of course Michael supplied. So, its a pretty well known fact amongst all angels that when the prince of heaven returns with his human that you - under absolutely no circumstances - go anywhere near Adam, not that Michael would ever let you considering he now holds Adam tightly to himself with a minimum of 17 eyes watching him at all times.

They binge watch terrible medical shows with vastly different opinions, Adam finds it fun to point out the medical inaccuracies and laugh at the stupid drama while Michael finds it horrifying as he learns about how many terrifying diseases humans can develop, his grace hold onto Adam a little tighter than usual when they watch, the only reason he keeps watching is because Adam enjoys it and he can't say no to those eyes.

Michael gets lost in pleasure when he and Adam are intimate and he sometimes snarls and growls deep and all angel like. He trys not to because it might freak out Adam. It does freak out Adam, but in a good way :)

I wrote a post like this before (here) but forgot to post the little mini-fic I wrote between the two based off this exact idea of Michael teaching Adam enochian, so here ya go:

They had been at this for hours.

Well, maybe not hours.

Truthfully Adam had lost track of time ever since Michael had started trying to teach him Enochian at breakfast this morning. Adam had been good at learning the letters and how to write them and all that, it was just the pronunciations he was struggling with.

“Gon Untal Ungaluntal” Michael states confidently.

“Gone Un-Tall Un-Gala-Tall?” Adam repeats less confidently.

Adam already knows that he got it wrong purely based on the look on Michael’s face, a look that’s very understanding even though Adam is flat-out butchering Michael’s native language.

The archangel can be surprisingly patient when the one he has to be patient for is his human. If it were anyone else, Adam has a sneaking suspicion that Michael would have thrown them out of a window already.

After repeating phrase after phrase and syllable after syllable all day, as well as learning the entire enochian alphabet multiple times, Adam finally feels at least the slightest confidence in his know of the angelic language.

As a final test, Michael slides a piece of paper with enochian written on it in what seems to be a sentence. Adam looks down and read over the page twice in his head before attempting to say it out loud.

“Med Talgonvehnaun’graphur Naungisgna Orungongisgna Ormeddon Gon Untal Gonmedvandon Famvanmeddongal” Adam said slowly and tentatively, making his way through each syllable trying to curl his tongue to the right words, all the while waiting for Michael to tell him that he’s messed up again.

“That’s right.” Michael looks into Adam’s eyes.

“What?” Adam’s eyes copy the action.

“Your pronunciation, it’s correct” a small smile appears on his face watching Adam’s eyes light up with joy.

“Seriously!? I spoke proper Enochian!”

“The closest a human can get to it, yes.” The archangel says.

Which - in Michael terms - means that he said it near perfectly.

Adam has no idea what he just said, but all he knows is that Michael is looking at him so lovingly and asks Adam to repeat the sentence over and over again until he shuts Adam up with a frankly lustful kiss, and that’s enough for him to know.

Roughly (Very roughly) translated Enochian:

My favorite midam HC is that they learn each other's human and angelic costums like Micheal teaches Adam enochian, how angels act, how they greet eachother, ect. And Adam teaches him how humans act, and interact, and show emotion

Love the idea of a delusional Michael thinking that Adam is literally perfect. Like wdym? Of course Adam’s The best human, he’s My human, fym how could he not be????

I'm a sucker for the idea that after Chuck is defeated and once Michael and Adam are reunited Michael just leans heavily into the protective trope, bordering on possessive.

Of course they have their initial rush of emotions when they first reunite but slowly about a week after everything is resolved Adam starts noticing that Michael insists that they don't leave the house which, yeah that's strange, but Michael never been one for interacting with any other human aside from Adam, so he shrugs it off.

But he also notices that Michael's been getting touchier lately, Michael's never really been big on physical touch and yet Adam finds that whenever he's making something in the kitchen Michael's always right there hugging him from behind. Or when they're watching something late at night on the couch, they no longer sit just next to each other like they usually would, now their cuddling in every cuddling position that was ever made. When Adam goes to bed, Michael joins him instead of his usual 'doing other things until Adam wakes up' thing. Now he crawls into bed with Adam and holds him tightly, as if he was afraid that if he let go then Adam would fall out of his grasp forever.

Adam hasn't felt this kind of warmth since he was a kid and would crawl into bed with his mother when he had a nightmare, so he accepts it and rolls over to hold onto Michael as well. Michael shifts and pulls Adam's legs up by the thigh and around his waist, willing to be even closer to his Adam. He wraps his arms all around the humans torso and tucks his face into Adams neck breathing in his pulse, knowing that he's alive and protected by Michael. As Adam falls into unconsciousness Michael opens his eyes to watch the man breath deep and slow breaths into the silence of the night. Adam looks so peaceful, so innocent and...so breakable. His mind wanders into thinking about loosing Adam again, having him be taken away somewhere Michael can't reach, having the skin of his flesh be tortured and filled with suffering pain when he shouldn't ever have to suffer, having him be killed

Without realizing, Michael tightens his grip around Adam.

Silently, Michael promises to never allow anyone, no matter how powerful, to take his Adam away ever again. He brushes the hairs that fall onto Adam's face back and places his lips on his forehead in a gentle kiss. How Michel wishes to keep him here like this, to bask in their shared love together until everything ends.

But alas, Adam does eventually have to wake up. That little job of his makes him so happy, and that's all Michael now wants, Adam's happiness.

No but seriously, this scene.

Its driving me insane that Adam was so ready, he was just so willing to become Michael's vessel that even Zacariah was like "Huh?"

And yeah, I know he was just excited to get his mother back but still he's smiling. All after being told that he literally won't be in control of his body during the fucking apocalypse and his physical body will be fighting the actual devil and he's still smiling for Michael!!!

Someone else please chip in and use better words to describe this because rn I'm currently incoherent and need to be sedated.

I would just like to say that I do not simply just fall back into my Midam brain rot and infatuation.

Jake Abel himself slowly rises from his cave in the ground and carefully grips me by the cankles and drags me back into the pit with the rest of my mutuals as we all consume and share our endless insanity over them repeatedly together<3

I'm of the belief that Adam could get literally any being/monster in existence to like him.

Whether it be because of his general aura of Adamness or because of The Archangel Michael standing ominously behind him monitoring the entire interaction while simultaneously threating the wrath of holyfire against whoever Adam is talking to, so the creature more or less has to make the decision of:

In my mind the only way Michael comes around to liking and being accepting of Jack is if one day he’s like “Nephilim are not to be trusted, they are unholy offspring” and Adam could go the more gentle and therapeutic route but instead he counters with, “ok but what if you got me pregnant and I gave birth to our Nephilim baby?”

And Michael just- freezes.

And that’s how he learns to get along with Jack being the new god, and also Adam’s been wondering why Michael’s been staring silently at their bed lately and why he keeps hugging Adam from behind and holding his stomach??????

i love midam sharing a body. i cannot get enough of it. its honestly one of my major dislikes when an author has them in seperate bodies.

no shame to anyone who does like them in seperate bodies, but it is so not for me.

like. that is THEIR body. its THEIR house.

youre telling me, after like 1200 years in the cage, where they were each others only solstice, they arent just a little codependent. they arent just a little bit nervous whenever they're seperate. that they dont find inherent safety and comfort in being able to feel each other's essence at all times.

and thats even before they were forcibly ripped apart by chuck. i cant even fathom how much worse it is after.

I do believe, personally, that Adam and Michael are Lana del ray girlies and I hold that close to my heart.

Hey so if you even care, once Adam and Michael begin to get intimate with each other (in whatever way you want, physical or soul-sex or otherwise) they go through a period of being MAJORLY horny because Michael had never allowed himself to indulge in human customs the way some of his siblings had, and now that he’s with someone he has a strong standing relationship with built on trust, understanding and just all around love, once they start doing it his celestial sex drive will just flip a switch and kick into overdrive. And Adam was only 19 when he went to hell and joined with Michael (and since I believe he wasn’t the type to loose his virginity at a younger age, which means if he even lost his virginity at all then it would have probably been around 16-ish and since he also doesn’t seem like the player/a lot of flings type that means he only had very limited sexual experiences) So he probably never fully let that “teenage/Young adult sex drive period of time” happen right? But then the same thing happens where he does it with not only someone he trusts and loves a whole bunch but that someone is The archangel Michael then of course his hormones are gonna get set off like a fucking firecracker. They don’t leave their shared house for days, maybe even weeks, for that period of time. Just wrapped in each other’s embrace and warmth with the blankets settled around their forms and sunlight beaming against them. With their traded pleasure going through their intwined selves, Adam’s soul and Michael’s grace. Letting their carnal animalistic and primal instincts win and take over and just give into the need to show their desperation and their eternal love to each other in any means possible, in this essay I will-

I love Adam and Michael talking in enochian to each other, but i propose:

Post-cage Michael teaching Adam enochian just cause Adam asks and finally there's a day where Adam says like a sentence correctly or something and Michael is just all gooey eyed listening to him repeatedly say "O Michael hath faith for I am your sword" over and over and over again all while smiling like an idiot.

I quite like the idea that grooming or touching an angels wings is like, weed for them? Like I know a lot of spn fics say that petting an angels wings will like either relax them or get them horny and ya know whats the combination of those? being high.

c'mon people imagine the possibilities with the three angels and their humans.

the cat gets like heart cancer or some shit and the vet says that he has to put it down and Adam begs Michael to heal the cat but Michael is all grumpy and jealous like ">:( No." but then for the next week Adam is juts really sad and gloomy and nothing cheers him up, so Michael begrudgingly fixes the cat but tells the cat that night while Adam is asleep like "Don't think this means i like you" and the cat just meows at him while cuddling under Adam's chin.

okay but like. IF adam picked up a cat while michael was gone. like he took in a stray cat or something and michael comes back and it's just Always Around. WOULD michael get a little put out by it. WOULD he see the cat sitting in adam's lap in the evenings purring like a maniac while adam scratches his head and think. well. hm. not a fan of this. because he's had adam's full undivided attention for one thousand years and now all of a sudden adam is carrying this little dude around and letting it sleep in his bed with him at night and the cat can TELL when adam and michael switch control and it doesn't LIKE michael because he isn't human. adam voice michael please stop staring down the cat. cat please stop staring down the archangel

So insane that the only two things that Michael would ever truly loose himself over are God and Adam. like, Adam challenged his faith in God, and if the writers weren't cowards Michael would've challenged God over Adam. am i making sense here? His story begins with his faith in his father and then finding someone who's lost faith in his. And it ends with Michael disregarding everything he thought to be the truth all in order to get Adam back

Don't ask me how but- AND HEAR ME OUT-

What if when Michael and Adam are finally reunited, like when they both come back and see each other for the first time Adam just... stops for a second, and just looks at Michael, staring blank at his true form.

Michael is over-fucking-joyed to have Adam back and have God gone and everything, and there's this general idea that Adam would just be himself and make a stupid little joke or something.

So Michael waits before making a move towards Adam, waits for Adam to say something, anything to make the situation feel real.

And nothing happens.

Michael takes a few steps towards Adam and quietly whispers "Adam...." the word feeling strange when said softly after he'd been screaming it in the empty.

and then Adam just, breaks.

He latches onto Michael and wraps his arms around his shoulders as his knees give out and he falls into Michael's embrace, all the while sobbing and screaming his soul out.

Michael snaps into it immediately because he feels Adam. Feels his soul in pieces as his grace try's to repair everything and stop the hurt pouring from Adam.

That image of him sitting sadly still runs through my brain monthly bro, like-

I guarantee Michael was so uncomfortable being inside of Adam's body because that’s he's exactly what should have happened. When he possessed Adam, Adam should have died, Michael should have taken his body until a better vessel was available and Michael should have left him a vegetable after that. And that's what makes him uncomfortable. Adam changed him so much that he became better because of Adam and he learnt to love something he once hated (Humanity). I mean, Michael accepted everything Adam had to give him. He was willing to live out the rest of their existence together exploring earth and just being and talking and loving each other unconditionally. Adam challenged everything Michael had ever known and he was fine with that. The only time he wasn’t 100% okay with Adam’s input was with the realisation that God never cared for him. And even through that, they were together. I don’t like calling that scene a fight because it wasn’t, it was a conversation about a incredibly fragile topic that they both had different view points about and yet, go back and watch it and they’re not actually fighting. Maybe that one time when Michael yells but it’s quick and doesn’t put a dent on their relationship together.

So here’s the thing, after being with someone who changed you for the better while still unconditionally loving you as yourself for so long, how does one cope?

Michael’s answer?

He doesn’t.

Or at least he doesn’t know how to.

Adam was his stability, Adam was apart of him and had attached himself to Michael’s very being. If they had gotten more time on earth together they would have watched all the shows and movies they’d missed out on, Adam would have shown him all the human experiences like food and music, and in return Michael would have taken Adam across the globe to anywhere he wanted. Michael would have given him anything and everything and it still wouldn’t be enough to repay Adam for all the kindness he’s shown the archangel. They would’ve had late nights strolling the streets or cuddling up under the blankets or enjoying the early morning sun or simply doing something mundane to give a sense of normalcy back into their lives.

But they didn’t get to do that. They’ll never get to do any of that. Because Adam was gone - Taken from Michael by the one being who out-powered him - and he couldn’t do anything about it except, eventually hand himself into that one all-mighty being in hopes that he might see reason and bring his love back.

How foolish seeking reason from God.

So here’s Michael. One of the most powerful beings in existence. Just- sitting there in silence, staring into nothing wishing for a voice that wasn’t to be found. He’s desperately searching every bit of Adam's body and entire form just to see if any bit of his soul was left, if any bit of Adam was left behind instead of just his meatsuit.

how can anyone hate michael. did you not see him in 15x19? did you not see how small and sad he was. jake abel did not put his whole jabussy into making him a poor little meow meow in his widower arc for some of you to be like yeah michael is a cold-hearted irredeemable bastard :/

That vid had so much in it and I know that we all talk about the tags ‘Spicier than your latest fanfic’ and even the goddamn title ‘things get hot between Adam&Michael’ and I understand that, yes. Jake Abel is an insane man for this. But you know what, so am I.

Lemme set the scene,

It’s late at night, all the lights in their house are turned off except for a lamp near the couch, Adam’s lying against Michael back to chest and his eyes are slowly starting to blink closed as the colours on the tv begin to blur. He tries to keep himself awake by explaining what’s happening on the show to Michael, but Michael is only partly paying attention. He’s looking down at the top of Adam’s head and looking at every little strand of hair, wondering what they feel like.

Slowly, Michael places his hand in Adam’s hair and start to card his fingers through, just barely scratching his scalp making sure not to hurt his husband. Adam is too tired to realise that there’s a hand in his hair but Michael seems to have that angelic touch (pun intended) because he’s starts slowly loosing his words and the harder Michael scratches that one spot with his unusually soft fingers, the more Adam just sinks into Michael’s form until he’s absolutely melted and at full mercy of the archangels hands.

He doesn’t realise that him talking has just become little sounds of contentment *cough cough* moaning *cough cough* As he tilts his head back to help Michael get to the bottom of his head he outright whines “Michael~”

He feels the hand stop and hears a little chuckle above him, he opens his eyes and sees Michael looking down at him with pure devotion and love and obsession and-

Queue, flustered Adam😌

It’s that time again Babes!!!!

Wondering about if Adam goes back to College to get his degree but online right? So sometimes he’s on his laptop and has a book and pens spread out on a table while the tv plays shows or movies in the background. And Adam thinks that Michael won’t care because, he’s Michael. Of course he already knows everything about the human body, of course he’ll probably point out all the inaccuracies of the test Adam’s taking, of course he’ll say that Adam takes forever to learn something basic to him.

But he doesn’t.

In fact, Michael genuinely likes watching how Adam learns, he’s never gotten to see how Adam’s brain focuses on material and then process the content. It’s all very fascinating to him.

To Adam’s surprise he even helps Adam study by asking him questions about biology and stuff. And even if there are inaccuracies in what the professor is teaching Michael will not hold a grudge about it, he just tells Adam the correct answer for the exam.

Later though, when everything is quiet and a peaceful hum hangs in the background, Michael will tell him the true story of how things were actually made, the ins and outs of all creatures and the earth’s biology. While Adam lays against Michael’s apparition’s chest as his eyes start to slip closed, as Michael plays with his hair and lays a hand on top of Adam’s heart. Hearing and feeling the intense thrum of his intelligent human alive and well.

Safe and together at last <3

Insanity, think about the good ending where Adam comes back and after their reunion and after they settle into ‘normal’ life together, the second Adam says something along the lines of “Michael your like a powerful archangel wouldn’t you rather be in heaven and stuff, I’m sure you don’t want to be hanging around in my bod-” and Michael just kisses him right then and there. Holds Adam’s neck and head to keep him in place, to make sure he knows that there is no where in the entire universe he would rather be than with Adam, here, in his hold and comfort. Because no matter how strong or above humanity he is, he can never be whole again without Adam.

He can’t be Michael without his Adam.

ohhhh my god thinking about midam again and how after adam died and it was just michael left in their body it probably felt like there was too much room. like putting on a shirt that’s suddenly too big when you know it was the right size a moment ago. or like returning home to find that all the furniture in the house has been taken.

So, I was on my daily re-watch of 15x08 and I got to the part of the episode where they catch Michael and do their whole interrogation scene. Was watching the part where Dean starts saying to Adam “There’s nothing we can say to fix that-” and then Adam gives him the look and says “How about, I’m sorry” yes yes very sad, but I’m about to make it hurt more.

I noticed that Adam dead-stares Dean in this scene, when Michael puts him in control earlier in the scene he’s like normal Adam, fair-going and happiy-ish. But when it gets to this part he just looses all that and just lets his words really get through to Dean (and Sam off screen).

But then Dean does this little pull back thing and call me crazy but that totally looks like the classic ‘Dean, I can’t admit my actual feelings, Winchester’ face.

Taking in Adam’s words face:

Realising he can’t say I’m sorry face:

Don’t get me wrong, I do think Sam and Dean regret leaving Adam in the cage but they’ve forgotten about him, or at least they thought he died in the cage but it’s only now that Adam is actually here in front of them that they want to do the morally ‘right’ thing and say sorry. But they can’t, not truthfully, because Adam will always be a reminder that John Winchester failed them at being a parent. That he was unfaithful to them and Mary and lied to them everyday.

So that’s Dean’s realisation in this moment right. And Adam probably saw that realisation by looking at Dean’s face. But then before he can say anything else Michael forcefully takes the front seat again.

I mean look at this sequence:

“Enough.”

Mans is in distress

And the fact that we haven’t seen Michael take control of their body like this before, never this aggressively anyway, leads me to think that something is different about this moment.

My guess is that when Adam realised Dean wasn’t going to apologise and own up for his and Sam’s actions, he got this overwhelming wave of emotion. Mainly disappointment, he knew that his brothers were awful and doesn’t forgive them for leaving him behind but he was willing to. He was willing to get some closure about their actions but they weren’t, and that’s hurts. Michael probably saw these thoughts, heard them, heard exactly how much underlying anger and pain that Adam had been hiding and it was all just now bubbling to the surface.

So Michael - the notoriously emotionally stunned Archangel he is, who already hated Dean viscerally - quickly wanted to calm Adam down and ease the pain that was going to explode any second but now Dean’s upsetting Adam!? Michael probably freaked and just shoved Adam to the back seat while he took control. Which is why his reaction was so extra because he didn’t tell Adam he was taking over he just did. Because he didn’t want Adam to hurt anymore than he already has.

Like even Dean knew something was up, he looks them up and down and turns away like “nah, Adam’s boyfriend gone crazy y’all I’m out”

Oh, your a true Midam Stan?

Okay, tell me how many times you’ve gone back and re-watched the same 7 scenes of Jake Abel talking to himself.

Tell me about how you’ve analysed every single detail in those scenes to create reasons why Michael and Adam desperately love each other.

Tell me about the times you’ve wanted to rip the walls apart because they rot your brain and eat up your every waking thought.

I know we talk a lot about how smitten Michael is, how much Adam has an archangel wrapped around his finger, the way Michael is head over heels in love and all that, which don’t get me wrong is true that boy is devoted, but I just don’t think we talk enough about how much Adam loves him.

Sure, Michael chose to leave heaven and his family behind for Adam and that’s great, but Adam was alone. Can we discuss how honoured and loved he must have felt that he just had someone who was willing to listen to him and just talk about life with. His mother is gone, John is John, his brothers betrayed and abandoned him, although he is well-adjusted considering he witnessed his mothers death and, well, going to hell with an archangel inside of him, he probably thought at one point that when they got bac to earth that he would just have to keep moving. Go back to collage, get a job, try to be a normal person again.

How can you try to find the meaning in life when your life has been so drastically altered?

But Michael stays with him. Michael sits at a Diner with him. Michael listens to him make stupid jokes and understands the feeling of loosing faith in your family. They bond and have formed a strong connection for thousands of years (or however long they were in the cage for????) Michael protects him and takes the time to still let him live in his own body, how astonishing would it be to have the prince of Heaven allow you to still do the things you want to do, see, and accomplish in life all the while he gets to teach said angel about the world itself.

I just don’t think we talk enough about Adam being smitten, can we talk more about it please????

Honestly, no wonder Michael abandoned everything for Adam. This dude asks you to spend existence with him while he lovingly helps you through your daddy issues, shit I’d leave too😍

rewatching Another Life and am being forcefully reminded of the fact that jake abel is hot as shit

Currently obsessing over the idea of Michael and Adam getting separated (Like Michael leaving the vessel for whatever reason, maybe a case or something???) and Adam gets hurt or like tortured and Michael just goes fucking FERAL.

Like, they might be helping the Winchesters and Castiel out for once, just cause they need like Michael’s power or something, but then Adam and him get split from each and Adam gets kidnapped by these monsters who like beat the shit out of him and finally Michael finds them and once Michael sees what they’ve done to Adam he just- looses his fucking shit. I’m talking smiting all the monsters, breaking the windows, bursting bulbs and probably ruptures the sound barrier for a sec.

And then after all this damage he quickly goes over to Adam and cradles him so softly and with such gentle care he heals all his wounds and soothes him and asks if he’s okay and then re-posses him so he can wrap himself back around Adam’s soul and find peace again. All the while Dean, Sam, and Cas just watch on like tf happened? Two seconds ago you were ready to kill everything within sight???

I know it’s been said before but Michael and Adam should’ve gotten more screen time, together or apart idc I just wanted them and their relationship to grow more.

And I sincerely appreciate everyone in the Midam community for creating an entire fandom in of itself about these characters who got so little character development and even less scenes together all just because a collective amount of us immediately saw their potential and how healthy their love fits together.
