At the Skybound and LEGO collaboration panel today, a new 5 issue comic mini-series was announced. As you can see above: it's GARMADON!
It's a canon story that takes place after we last saw Garmadon in March of the Oni. It explores what he's been up to since then, struggling with the question of whether he's "bad or evil".

Los Angeles, CA (October 29, 2021) – Today at The Skybound Halloween Xpo, Image Comics and Skybound announced LEGO® NINJAGO® GARMADON #1, an official new chapter in the worldwide phenomenon that arrives in stores April 6, 2022 from rising star writer/artist Tri Vuong (the upcoming Everyday Hero Machine Boy)!
This is the first LEGO® branded comic book series release from the landmark
partnership between multiplatform content company Skybound Entertainment and global children’s book publisher AMEET, with additional top-secret new series to be announced in the coming year.

How fast time flies. First the day of the film's creation and Lloyd's birthday. Decade of the Ninjago. Now Halloween. There are a few days left before the event of horror and fear.

Imagine that your thread of hope is in someone else's clawed hands. What would you do? Or maybe someone's life is at stake? You will do nothing but start praying. Pray for salvation! Pray for hope! 🙏
At last. Lloyd is shown on both sides. It happened. Perfectly shows the child belongs to two worlds. My eyes are happy. 🤤

@dinogaby It's strange that no one thinks about Lloyd's unusual appearance. The fact is that the father is not from the point of view of the emperor or the commander, but from the point of view of creation, definitely not a person. Lloyd Garmadon
I finally came to life. Praise to Olympus. Well, let's talk to you about hybrids. M? 😏
The topic is quite unusual. But, what's wrong with that? Think for yourself, a different form of life. And not darkness or light. So, what is it? Let's dig into this topic. To be honest, I only know of 11 such half-bloods (counting Lloyd)so here......

Each or every one of them suffered from this form. But with that comes power. Isn't it? Such power, the man never dreamed of their punishment. And they're all from the dark fathers. I wouldn't say about Duncan, his father wanted peace, so he's an exception. All this is proof that there are no barriers between the 2 parties. Simply put, mistakes. Something that from God's point of view should not be! Well, here the edges are erased. Therefore, such an alliance is quite possible for half-bloods to be born.

And why not? Garmadon considered humans to be parasites, living as fertilizer for the earth. They defiled everything that the First Spinjitzu Master had created without realizing it. Wu didn't do anything any more than his father did. This infuriated Garmadon completely. "There are no innocents in the world! -. After that, there was a conversation between the brothers, but Wu was on his father's side and Garm was on his own. And so the battle began. Well, then think about it yourself. 😉
Few people remember that our darkest of monsters were human too. Some were broken in some way. Some thought that they were doing the right thing. Some just lost too much to give a damn anymore. Of course their actions are to be condemned.But for some, there is understanding that can be gleaned. Is there any justification for Garmadon's actions? What is the purpose in power? Why do need all this?
Ultimately that is true. Most villains are actually just broken people who society didn’t bother to care for and just let them go through a broken system. World domination to them actually makes sense in the terms of fixing said system themselves and hoping no one else would ever feel what they felt.
Other times it’s a villain losing someone and the villain just decides to watch the world tear apart from the inside out. They see how awful people are and watched as no one cared about that someone they loved dearly and now the villain wants them to suffer just as much as they did.
For Garmadon though? I came up with a headcanon long ago with a friend of mine on DA and proceeded to add on to it.
We don’t know too much but we do know that Garmadon treasured Lloyd more than anything in the world, loved him more than life itself. So when he saw Lloyd gone and he couldn’t even see his wife in the distance, he broke down. So I told my friend that maybe Garmadon thought if the world was as dark as him, he’d find Lloyd because that’s his little light of his life.
After Garmadon had been cured, he always thought the happy ending he had before him was just a dream. He would’ve been used to that idea since back in his corrupted days, he dreams about the life of being with his wife and kid but then he’d wake up and be all alone. So the idea that he could one day wake up again and not see his wife next to him scared him.
My AU Garm would suggest that his Oni half was thinking something wasn’t right with Lloyd and it wanted to get rid of him (and knowing Oni mythology doesn’t help his case any) which lead to Koko running away from him with Lloyd while Garm was fighting on the inside. When he came to, he mourned at them leaving and basically shut down. The venom took advantage of that negative state of mind and he proceeded with the idea of taking the weapons as his.
We could go into how if Garmadon took over the first time around perhaps Ninjago wouldn’t have to worry about being attacked as often because one, he may have not been the favored son, but he is still the son of their creator. We saw how much power he had being manipulated into gaining it, imagine if he had free will and his human mind in tact. Two, who’s going to go up against an Oni-Dragon hybrid who’d rather seek his family’s safety over vengeance, domination, or just about anything else?
And he probably would’ve had allies, including but not limited to the Serpentine, Skulkin, Time Twins (if he manages to get on Krux’s good side first), Elemental Masters, the Royal Family, etc. Basically anyone else except for Chen and Clouse, because Chen screwed everyone over in the end and he wouldnt look for a repeat and Clouse wasn’t looking to change his mind any time soon.
I don’t know too much about Movie Garmadon as much as I used to admittedly but I think he got the whole four arms thing before he decided to be a “villain” which suggests that when everyone, his friends, acquaintances, strangers, saw how he looked different, he got treated different. He was so used to the whole “monster” title that he decided to become the monster everyone thought him to be... Koko just happened to not change him, but to come to an understanding him just as much he did to her. @dinogaby Can you confirm this headcanon for me?
Xxxmm I believe he hates beings in a world created by his father. He thought that these creatures are not worthy to exist on these lands. He dreamed of genocide, but then Koko intervened and was able to briefly measure the fervor of the devil. Koko is a little man and he's a God Death! However, she sent him humanity and it embodied in Lloyd's. A piece of humanity and only with the help of his wife! However, if she dies or Lloyd, Garm will finally lose his mind. It's just going to be terrifying. All the horror of darkness will descend to the ground and kill the innocent as they are. But he won't care how the "war" is going to go. His task will kill everyone and himself including. After all, darkness without light will not be able to narrow down and will die as history. It would be interesting to see that.

Darkness awaken in it!
Has anyone thought of the devouring of darkness as food? What if it's like getting hooked on a needle? Garmadon knew about this defect even before Lloyd was born because he was eating darkness himself. Koko (Misako) didn't know about it. Garmadon strength serves as a vessel for Lloyd. From birth, he was a hostage to the gene. In fact, koko (Misako) couldn't leave with the baby so without it he could have died! She had no choice. Garmadon was in the win, but the whole thing wasn't. Thus, even Wu will not be able to influence . But no one can beat him. The wounds heal quickly. There are pros and cons. 😔
