Lloyd Ninjago - Blog Posts

This will be the most expensive set of my own ninjago season. This set is called the malicious spider queen and comes with 8 minifigures which are Subterra Lloyd, Subterra Kai, Subterra Jay, Subterra Cole, Formicus, and three spider soldiers.

Recently, I came up with the idea to review a cartoon that I adored as a child. Ninjago. I understand why I loved him as a kid, he's super cool! now I've caught a hyperfix on this cartoon and I'm enjoying life :D

new and updated theory on the source of lloyd’s power!

in dragons rising there definitely has been lore dropped here and there but more than anything I find ammunition to power my long winded theory that lloyd’s powers come from his heart, in theoretical and just elemental sense.

doc wyatt has established there isn’t a set explanation (YET) in show, but he did like one of my tweets regarding my claim that Lloyd’s power resonates within the heart and soul.

starting out, lloyd’s power has never been defined. it is hinted by the writers that lloyd has no idea what it is, though what we do know is that it—-

1) can create life and destroy it (the book of elemental powers)

2) draw energy from the elements

3) shield oneself / very powerful in attack

4) does not belong to the source dragon of energy but belongs to the source dragon OF LIFE

5) has some sort of connection with the FSM

and lastly, by LEGO GROUP’s definition.. it’s ENERGY.

energy can have have different meanings. energy in lightning’s case seems to be the electrical sense, but energy can .. power up things, it makes things work -

energy is also used as a synonym for life force, this is demonstrated when referring to the act of draining source dragons and the whack-rats.

what i am getting at, is I believe that energy in the sense of lloyd’s powers is that he holds the essence of life itself. his power works hand in hand in his survival as well as keeps him alive.

now to connect him to LIFE , a source dragon, was very interesting but made a great deal of sense. Life is in everything, energy can create life.. who created life?

THE FSM used elemental powers to bring Garmadon and Wu into existence, he also holds the ability that past his death, he could steal lloyd from the mortal world to speak to him in the grasslands.

the elements of creation can be drawn from in their energy for lloyd, but the elements of creation were the core four.

LIFE = Lightning, Ice, Fire, Earth

so….

that also makes sense as to when he was dying in mystake’s tea shop that they had to use their elemental powers of creation to revive lloyd or heal him.

now jumping into the theory that will always be my favorite, and the show itself actually jumped into it was elemental powers being felt or drawn from different places depending on the elemental powers, ie nya with veins, zane with his mind, etc etc etc—

lloyd’s power comes from his heart in my opinion.

firstly, life—- energy is what makes the heart beat, you cannot live without that.

mentally, lloyds power has always been his true self, his heart, the way he cares so deeply for people (even if they do not deserve so)

green in spirituality also represents the heart chakra, it is very similar in description.

but as someone so close to his mortality, and who i believe is always aware of such, it makes so much sense.

in s8, when his element is fighting for him as he’s succumbing to his wounds in the fight in krytparium it sparks on his chest,

following this— the elemental master figures that were released in the SOG wave depicted different elements and where they were located differed on the ninja, lloyds was insanely insanely obvious—

overdrawing from his element has caused him great sickness multiple times. we see this with golden power, then we see this with him fainting while using his element against griefbringer in MOTM (something very opposite to his element— death)

the fact that his power kept him alive but also left him for a bit after he almost was on the brink of dying in s8

now with dragons rising and the conduit putting him in a semi coma for several days because of his mortality

he puts his hand on his heart when he approaches the imperium source dragon when saying “this place, i feel weird”

him believing he’d die from conduit power…

it’s justttt…

but that being said there is so much they could discuss about lloyd in show, whether discovering his powers, or seeing the actual scope of what they do

lloyd is very hesitant and he out of anyone never talks about his powers or how they work

but there’s so much there, like what if his elemental power could heal people or bring people back to life (other than himself LOL)

I think someone should write a fic where through circumstances out of there control the Ninja should have to fight their students

I think kai should wear sunglasses for a little bit not cause he wants to look cool but because I think sunlight would hurt his eyes after he's been trapped for the indeterminate amount of time with bonzle.

Additional I think either nya, Lloyd or wyldfyre would be glued to his side because they missed him

Ok so idea that probably won't happen but what if the reason Jay is evil is because he somehow rembers kai but like only the name face and that their vaugly friends and through manipulation from ras and he just keeps ignoring the rest of the Ninja. Idk just a funny thought

lego Ninjago movie meets show would be funny if it's during dragons rising and show Lloyd is just trying to find his kids in all of the caos of whatever is happening. Adittionally the exstistential crisis you could give each version of the characters would be funny

Ok but like what if in the part 2 nya starts acting a little bit like how kai did in the pilots. Like angry and kinda avoiding everyone and it would be cool if wyldfyre who (based off her shorts trailer) seems to come to terms with a lot of things.

Adittionally I just think seeing nya be a bit more hotheaded would be cool

Why not draw the back side of them Lloyd?

I don't know about you, but I really want to give Lloyde in season 12 of season 16 the Alucard cannon from Hellching. A ctually, it depicts the Jackal cannon and Casull.

I get it off-topic. And even more so why does he need cannons, if there are swords and golden weapons? I'll answer that question with GIFs. Still do not forget about the blood in the GIFs❗

The joke here is this. The guns themselves are almost 30 cm long and with 13 milimeter bullets. Can you imagine what the return on the human hand will be? Let's just say the payoff will be very strong. And if you put Oni Lloyd's here? Why not?

What if guns are not the personification of force but rather despair. You know why? The past pulls us along and we can't go back. Or maybe the world itself suggests that everyone should be shot. On the example of Paytor, we draw a conclusion. It is useless to save and redo it. He still going to go down a dark path and be a problem for ninjagos. So why wouldn't Lloyd solve this problem without morality. Oh yes Oni have morals? It was only on Mystake that he was convinced that Oni had the right to choose. She was a good old lady. We mourn the memory.

I did it in a hurry. Reminiscent of the redrawing of the meme Invincible. It's not a meme, though...

How I wish Lloyd would take an example from Alucard or Trefor from the game of "Castlevania: Lords of shadow 2".

The dialogue itself and the example of the plan may not seem the smartest, but the fact of what lies with Gabriel. That is, the one who is able to execute the plan into action.

I always wanted to make Lloyd more pragmatic. That is, it is necessary to defeat evil and there are no opportunities at home. Make a smart deal. Everyone will get that wants. Conveniently.

The funny thing is that... I'm siding with Nolan. He was really right about his ideology. And this whole struggle is just a perfect indicator of Garmadon and Lloyd.

Again a dedication of art to Loyd. I want to ask him a question - Who is he? And let him ask himself this question himself.

I decided to try a slightly different way of drawing. No black contours as much as possible. Therefore, the art is different from the previous one.

As for the idea and idea of Lloyd's two artes, this anime "Blue Exorcist" and "Devil's Line" .

If only Garmadon hadn't known where his son was growing up. In human form. There is no access to it. Phone too. Why not capture the body in the vicinity of the people around the boy . And also send him to transform into a demon? Although this should be genetic, but who will be against unusual twists in the plot? I personally wouldn't mind.

I am grateful to the author of this work. At least someone thinks Lloyd is a hybrid. I'm not alone.

@dinogaby It's strange that no one thinks about Lloyd's unusual appearance. The fact is that the father is not from the point of view of the emperor or the commander, but from the point of view of creation, definitely not a person. Half of the genes of the mother and father, no matter how sad it may sound. Lloyd was supposed to inherit half of his father's genes, and where? Maybe Garmadon had power over the DNA and changed it in Lloyd. Otherwise, I'm afraid to imagine how many potalogies there would be in Lloyd. 🤔😳

For example. If two species - a person (mother) and the other (father). The problem could certainly be in the limbs. It could not go the right development of the hand and its incorrect place of frolic .

Next on the color of the skin.

Further, regarding the eyes themselves. Not real at all. For example, heterochromia. Different pupil color.

Regarding teeth. Most mutations come from the father. Consequently, and teeth.

And so it comes to the color of the blood. It depends on what the body will be saturated with. I showed the most basic differences. If you say that, Lloyd is a wonder of the world. How he was in general mystery from the film. I mean, this form of life can live, though only here. Yes, even if it is impossible. I'll say it again. If only Garmadon is able to change the structure of the DNA code in the fetus at the time of development. So...I just realized. Nya can pick up Kai, Lloyd, and Zane...Zane a robot...without any problems. Thinking about it her and Cole could have an arm wrestling match.

look I’m not the best at analyzing stuff like this but I do my fair share in writing and research so I do want to share my personal opinion on the story and etc.

I REALLY REALLY need to see Lloyd start crashing out about losing BOTH his students (i have no idea if Frak is considered his student because… he basically didn’t get focus either)

Ras’ bxtch ahh should go to hell just saying

to be completely honest, I feel like in general there was a lot of comedic moments and less storytelling. the only good storytelling part imo was Ras and Arin’s side: specifically Ras’ mfing manipulation over Arin.

tbf that part was always a masterpiece… not the literal manipulation though

and the part where Jay says Arin’s parents are alive… I’m gonna jump if Ras faked their deaths to use Arin like a fvcking puppet

The flashback of Sora and Arin meeting was definitely wholesome, but not… really… expected or like kind of random ig? I feel like they could have showed it through Arin and Sora maybe feeling guilty and remembering how they met or something, more-so Sora since she ends up going with Arin.

like I get they’re best friends and all but… I feel like more could’ve been done with that(?) to show Sora wanting to stay with Arin in the end, esp with the relationship between the ninja and Ras.

And FRAK. DID. NOT. GET. ENOUGH. …development? Character-wise

Frak suddenly going all “I don’t think you understand what being a ninja is” in the last or second to last episode to Arin, but we don’t see enough interaction to build his idea of that other than being a superfan of them in general

I will never stop saying this: they should give him some kind of arc in helping him switch over from Ras’ “anger and hate becomes strength” technique to the ninja’s. We clearly see him more aggressive on the obstacle course in the first episode, but that’s barely touched on later on…

i do like how Arin ends up being able to do object Spinjitzu well enough in the end by.. using his kindness or wtvr that was… to defeat Thunderfang (who will definitely come back and better die for basically killing Morro… he’s already dead but that’s not the point)

i don’t think redoing the merge can “bring back his parents” even if they were actually dead because despite all that talk on it reshaping reality… idk if that’s how things work

I am glad about Arin still stopping Ras from fighting at times and etc.; his character is probably the best here other than Ras imo

other than we have:

that part in the First Realm (or Land ig) where Frak freaks out about the Oni… dude you’re literally right next to one

frak is so real btw I love him, just wish he could be more refined in terms of character

never mind frak though, COLE BETTER HAVE A LOT MORE SCREENTIME IN PART 2; never gonna forgive the writers for this

Oh and Zane dying for the nth time, that was great

like I said, there was a lot of comedic relief and stuff: not to say it wasn’t funny bc I cackled at most of them, but the overall story just.. wasn’t what I expected

I stand by my case that season 2 is still the best dr season… at least so far

I love his relationship with Sora

Idk if I ship them just yet or at all but they’re both so silly and he called her attractive (my jaw dropped)
