No electricity for water pumps.

What I used to haul water from 'tank' to cattle troughs.

Rolling blackouts, in our case 36 hrs w/o electricity, left us w/o water for cattle. SO using a generator, a sump pump, and buckets we hauled water to cattle. It was an all day affair for 3 days. Sid Miller for Texas Governor.

Walked in a place on the ranch I dont often visit at least on foot. Ran into a squadron of javelinas. Luckily this old dog, the one pictured not the one who took the photo, did not chase them BUT 2 of them did escort us away following us for 60 70 yards.

Setting a new blind out. This blind isnt going any where when your bro works for a metal business.

Javelinas at my old feeder. Hunting is awesome but many ranches round abouts have killed off their javelinas because they eat under the deer feeders and scare the deer. People are surprised that I have any around. So for me its 'how to keep the pesky deer from eating my javelina food!' Javelinas tend to have 2 "reds" or a set of twins. See one in the pic.

Heres me hoping for some more rain! Vet left a syringe case that with a little modification worked great! Now thats country in South Texas!

Awesome day trip to the "WOODS"! Anyone know what this is?

Recent rains encouraged this beautiful cap to grow and spread! Any ideas? It is believed this edible mushroom is a coprinus sterquilinus which white upon emergence but this speciman has another fungus turning it black.

No seed eating birds on my bird feeder today! This guy hunts my feeder I am guessing as I occasionally find feathers by the feeder. Love south Texas!
