“Trust fall”
Here it is! My small but oh so time consuming Iwaoi comic! As you may notice, I have experimented a bit with lineless art, colors and such. The theme isn’t exactly new for these two, but I felt that I have to start at the basics to get to know them! (I feel like I still have a bit left to a good characterization, but I’ll be getting there.) I hope you like it!

3 years & 2 days ago i watched love simon in theaters, and 2 days ago i finished reading simon vs the homo sapiens agenda, then tonight i watched love simon again since the first time i ever watched it.
theres something so beautiful in consuming an old piece of media that’ll make your mind revert back to the time you were first introduced to that media. it’s the way it makes you want to buy those halloween oreos with the orange filling because it makes you feel connected to the film by you casually referencing it. it’s the way you end up following the cast members on social media and look up to them, remembering that it all started because of one film you watched as a teen. it’s the way some of your favorite songs come from the movie’s soundtrack and you’ll listen to it from time to time but every now and then the specific scene it was played during will pop into your mind. to put it simply, nostalgia is beautiful. but if we’re going in depth, it’s the way rewatching one movie reverts you back to the first time you saw it, amongst reverting back to your other favorite shows at the time, and the friends you hung out with and the hobbies you had and the way your home life was and yourself. it’s you reliving the person you were during that time and not realizing how special it was gonna be years later. or maybe you did and your future self is thanking you for actually cherishing the moment.
nostalgia is a beautiful thing. 20gayteen was a treasurable year. love simon was great and simon vs the homo sapiens agenda was better at that. i’m glad i finally finished the book 3 yrs later and now look, i’m watching the second season of the movie’s spinoff series later this year. i’m so in love with being queer. the overall queerness of this all is a beautiful thing too. how fun to be nostalgic of your young queer self during an important year for queer media and an important year for your queer identity..

It was only logical that Akaashi wasn’t a starter his first year of high school. He didn’t expect to be. He was just happy to have been accepted to a school that was not only a volleyball powerhouse but also an academic one. He played in a handful of practice matches near the end of the year and during the Tokyo finals at the end of the year, he’d been the backup setter, which was impressive given his age.
But there wasn’t a single thing that was more surprising than the attention he received from a certain second year.

This one is simply great and I think I’ve read it like 10 times. Kuroo here wins everything.

In which Bokuto has an early midlife crisis because of a baby and Keiji has both a headache and a crush.

It was Kuroo’s fault. It was nothing new in Bokuto’s life, really, because most of the stupid, life-threatening and awesome things that happened to him were in some degree Kuroo’s fault, but still, this was definitely Kuroo’s fault.
Or, Bokuto gets roped into a dancing show and does not fall for his partner. He does fall for somebody else, though.

hey since haikyuu is being talked about again, let me just expose myself real quick; i actually thought daichi died when he collided with tanaka.
the fandom was making posts saying he DIED so when i started watching haikyuu and i got to that scene, i started crying because i thought the man was DEAD but N O he wasn’t. this frickin fandom making posts saying that he died made me believe i was about to watch a funeral scene in an anime about volleyball i’m embarrassed

you know what klance trope im a sucker for?
Lance introducing Kieth to his family and they welcome him with so much enthusiasm. Lance’s parents bring Kieth in for a big hug, the very protective older siblings playfully tease him about making sure he’s treating Lance right or else they’ll kill him, Lance’s nieces and nephews cling onto Kieth because he’s the “pretty boy Lance talks about all day long”. I just love seeing the dynamic between lovable big family and awkward, nervous boyfriend.
And might I add, even though we’ve all seen this trope many times before
Kieth is surprisingly good with kids. He doesn’t pass them off as less important than the adults when being introduced to. He makes sure to talk to them as well outside from the more adult-like conversations he has with Lance’s parents and older siblings (and of course this makes Lance’s family like Kieth even more). By the time Kieth has to get back home, Lance’s nieces and nephews are all whining for Kieth to stay longer and Kieth promises them they’ll hang out more, which warms Lance’s heart and possibly gives him slight baby fever.
