Love is in the hair.
I just want to share my hairevolution since year 2017.
I started my curly hair journey way back 2014 but, later on when I had the means to explore hairstyles, I wanted my hair straigthened because I thought it was "less hassle", easier to manage and much accepted by society.
Last year 2020, as the pandemic wreaked havoc worldwide, Life was far from normal just as going to the hair salon became a challenge. I did not have time to have my hair rebonded and salons were closed. Waaaaa the world had huge problems *until now and I was worrying about my hair.lol Kidding aside, the pandemic made me realize quite a lot of things and one of it was embracing my natural self. So, it was then that I decided to love my curls and to not have my hair rebonded for a year. I only trimmed my hair 1-2 inches at some time,, applied treatment, and managed to apply hair color at home too. I was so patient with how my hair slowly transformed (as seen in these photos). My friend invited me to join the curly girl management page and boom I started to love my curls again. I never imagined that there is a community of confident girls loving their curls. It showed me that it is not so bad to have these curls and that there is a way to manage it.
Finally today April 17, 2021 *see last photo* the long wait is over, I said goodbye to some parts of my rebonded hair and now my lovely curls are back. I feel like myself again. What a refresh. Hair please stay healthy always.
Indeed that love is in the hair. Hahaha..
Embrace your curls people.
sometimes changes won’t happen as quickly as you’d like for it to, and that’s okay. an ocean as majestically big as the pacific ocean is made up by millions and billions of little drops of water. if it wasn’t for all those tiny drops there would be no ocean. so don’t worry about your steps being smaller and your progress slower. it doesn’t mean that you won’t reach your goal or that you can’t. you’ll get there. you’ll go from raindrop to stream to river to lake to ocean. don’t give up 💙
