reblog shuuya kano kgpr marry kozakura tsubomi kido kousuke seto critai oh dear i'm starting to get carried away with other things so i've gotta finish this now if you do eventually make solo pieces for the leftover dans though i think i'd still be very eager to return for those 🐈‍⬛ maybe something for next august 15th? i'd wait anyways the combining of different mv themes is really cool and i like they way you worked them together in this composition everyone has their own sort of layer so it feels like you're unravelling down from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 like a minecraft dropper level <- i have no idea how else to refer to it marry framing the comp with the white sheet really brings it all together like she's uncovering the stories i'm not super familiar with her songs tbh but i feel like that makes sense? with her? also tryna shield herself with it sorta is cute i like the shape of it btw it has a nice guiding eye effect and just looks cool idk the black loomy shadows right beneath it for kanoooo ma boyyy and they've got mysterious spray paint markings hidden among them i like the ones that are like shadows for his legs very cool with the bleed effect too 👁️ what do the stars mean though... love that you drew kano <3 he's so cute with his sillie smile and lounging pose lying in the shadows i also like how his lines kinda have this shine to them in the shadows and red highlights in the light idk i really like that for him!! seto and little seto are cute beneath the dappled light and the way he's looking out at us like he's reading our mind maybe kido!! finally we get to see her fully she looks great the shapes of her hair are so satisfying including the ones peeking in from the side the way you used this familiar setting with the layering and greenery and then the open window to frame kido?? i loove her song integration the way the light falls over her face is so pretty <3 i quite like the splashes of colour you leave around the place in your rendering nooo your file crashing ;o; i didn't get to see any concept sketches for this so i'm curious if you had other ideas too or if this was literally done straight ahead real quick for ayano the way she's like hugging herself and the pages flowing through like yay she saved them!! but nooo her scarf is trailing up like she's falling and the pages are flying out from her grasp so like aw she does so much 🥺

so i think. there is something special in the way izaya rifles through wallets to catalogue people. i hesitate to call it a love language because, i wouldn't even know how to even define that but.

this guy takes in every scrap of information he can get on someone and starts mapping out the kind of person he thinks they might've been. i know he doesn't care about them individually but i still think he's genuinely fascinated by people and enjoys knowing more about them.

but okay, he'll keep most of that in his head and prioritize keeping only the most essential things directly on him (i like to travel light) so that's his own belongings, polaroids of a family he wants to know more about, sim cards taken from people's phones, condoms, jakow's id, and… shizuo's wallet?

keep in mind that izaya is very deliberate about even the information he documents on his phone (because silly recordings of shizuo are so very important) and of all of the ids they come across he only pockets one. he leaves every other wallet and their cards on the ground!!

the fic doesn't explicitly show us what's still in there but i choose to believe he kept the whole fucking thing. because here, is a record of shizuo. nothing overly personal sure, but proof of his presence as just a guy. a guy who takes public transport, who prefers to use cash, who just has a slip of paper in there that serves no function (it's an old ticket for one of kasuka's movies), who likes to eat at particular places, often, who has connections with others in his life, who feels bad about breaking people's cars, who always carries a condom even if he never gets the chance to use it under the impression that he wouldn't want to be in a relationship, a guy that isn't aware that condoms expire and shouldn't be kept in wallets. and something happened to that condom.... all mundane and carefully preserved with, a few additions.

you're probably not going to understand all of it just from looking at it, and neither would izaya. that's the beauty of it i suppose. but tell me why?? this bastard must've had this thing smuggled away since chapter 6!! y'know, when he totally wanted that guy dead?? 🤨

durarara shizaya i wrote a thing a cheap imitation chapter 48 minimal edits because editing it would be even more painful and i have something else i gotta work on.... some other stuff i said at the time that i won't make a separate post for one of my cut ideas for this was for izaya to slip in a little note at the end something along the lines of “it's not good to keep them in your wallet unless you want more shizu-babies running around and the world can't have that” but i'm deeply unconfident in my ability to write words out of characters' mouths and also because that would've been too much i think for the style i was going for show don't tell through mostly visuals and indistinct scribbles where it'd look good i also just thought it might've been too cringe.... but i do think this izaya would probably say something like that to him just maybe not as a written note in there lmao btw i checked yt for something and omg this video i uploaded there got 63 views??? it's my most cryptic thing on there whaaaat looking at the stats it literally seems like random people that wouldn't know what a durarara is from lots of random.... noise and number videos well idk who they are and if they understood a thing but that was a pleasant surprise expected very little on this but i appreciate any attention i get <3

reblog drrr comic shizaya a cheap imitation shigaeru good shizuos lookit the rat leaning over his chair i like the pose a lot the phone in his mouth is great how does he sound when he's talking like that haha still as pretentious as ever apparently that confused expression is fantastic hjhsdsh the diagonal flow of the panels to the sort of diagonal composition of izaya and his annoyed look at shizuo waking up i'm sorry i'm just taking composition notes in these tags i hope they're not too intrusive it's just sooo gooood also spoon's straightforward shizuo dialogue in contrast to izaya's pompous yakyakyak is so funny this pest doesn't stop buzzing these shizuo panels look so nice though oh i just noticed his chains are already free as he's taking that smoke hsdgsd and izaya's expressions here the absolute 'are you kidding me' oozing from that panel and the flow of this page too gah the knife panel is really nice too i like the hand and yeah izaya's smile here is a great take on the description this man has no hinges and shizuo's expressions haha so cute i love izaya's slouch here too i just love his dumb mannerisms and animated body language are ya comfy because you'll be here for a while they are small and therefore cute in your style

reblog shintaro kisaragi kgpr critai i still think it's crazy how much you manage to pack into these when you're like sprinting them in a day or two anyways i really need to conserve my tags here because there's a lot i wanna say the focus on photos for memory is great for obvious reasons but i reaaally like how you played around with their positioning and such for those sweet sweet ✨ implications ✨ the shintaro variations easily distinguishable by their clothes and then the more subtle shifts with their eyes the cuts at xx shintaro </3 and his face being obscured in the shadows along with ayano's half obscured face (like it's harder to remember the genuine emotions she may have shown) that the colours of the sky like that day™ stand out among the more prominent blues and greens the wire fence coloured in like the daze mv is also a neat detail and azami who has really delicate and pretty looking features here the sneaky shintaro buried beneath the others with his retaining eyes peering over them like he's kinda looking over them :) and then the mekadan messing with him to get that really cute photo pinch his cheeks make him smile!! also lol is that hibiya being short trying to pull off his jacket shdsg also ene being there on his phone! i noticed kido isn't as visibly present as the others hsdgs i really like that fun detail i mean i like seeing her but also... y'know 👁️ i assume she's probably just with momo under the other photo since they're buddies which!! momo's so cuuuuute >u< ahh i like the shapes of her eyes and hair there and my boy kano !!! he's cute thank you i like his sharp features and the really pleasing shapes for his bad fit (sorry it's his fault but you make it work) i know it's just a normal pose but he's my fave so i gotta appreciate the little hoodie sleeve tug i really like it <3 konoha's there ene doing her thing and seto doing a really goofy ear thing with his.... flaps hsdgsds they're silly you do a nice job of making their eyes look unique from each other

''so i can call you by your name obviously'' ''your loss shizu-chan'' during marbles izaya yaks on about how fascinating it is that the games reinforce human connections by making them choose teams to work tog right before violently ripping them apart by pitting them against their partner of choice of course they all would've had to go against each other eventually if they want to win but by taking advantage of the all too human weakness to latch on to their personal attachments in spite of the lack of information it serves as the most devastating reminder of the nature of these games that they've all signed up to all the while maintaining their idea of personal autonomy but we won’t have to worry about that because you're a monster aren’t you shizu-chan? in my mind this izaya came here to observe human nature when pit against each other like this and get away with some bank while he's at it and if you want to go with ji yeong’s backstory he’s already taken the life of a human who should’ve been a meaningful connection to him so he’s probably aci style lost about what to do with himself but the least he can do is prove that this dumb brute is a monster by giving haha sorry for going off in the tags but holy shit you just gave me another brain worm thanks

durarara comic shizaya izaya orihara shizuo heiwajima i made a thing shizayaweek2021 izaya speaks in copypasta but where is the gay you say? hsdgshd ok so originally i wanted to do something slightly more serious but i wasn't really vibing with how it was turning out my artistic ability is limited so i gave up on it for now and decided to draw something silly based on a fic i've been reading and of course i think my art looks better when i'm not trying if it wasn't obvious the fic was the mistakes we made by tastewithoutalent but i don't think this is a very accurate representation of it so uh i wouldn't quite consider it fic art but it's pretty much drawn with the fic in mind this was very poorly planned i just sort of came up with everything on the fly so it reads super jank but i think shizuo and izaya look cute at least the third shizuo looks kind of stock pose to me but ahh i already drew it i need to just let go if i want to get better even if the movement is a little awkward i hope it still makes sense? shizuo is supposed to be confused but i don't think that's very clear an ''i thought you were having an episode or something'' moment then he actually has an episode haha whoops this is my contribution to shizaya week i'm sorry i'm a lot better at writing tags that's for sure aha i'll get around to that for other people's shizaya week stuff soon hopefully i don't think i'll be able to finish anything else for it but uh we'll see will i resist the urge to make slight edits with fresh eyes in the morning? update: i did not
