[from the singshong q&a] apparently it took 8 years to come up with orv and you can definitely tell. it is so great because the story had time to marinate and grow deep and rich layers and complexity in the plot and characters that I love so much
these ideas that the author names "story about the story" "web fiction about web fiction" "genre fiction about genre fiction" is what I love about orv. yes that's IT exactly!!!!
Baby-Doll Eyes in the manga is legit incredible
lee jihye side story where she experiences yuri again. i just think after years of hanging out with literal children and Hot Milfs In Her Area she deserves some good standard wholesome university au yuri. is this anything
minato gets top pick for mitsuru's hypothetical future lavender marriage because everyone would buy it. he has such a good poker face that he wouldn't have to act at all, people would just see him greet her blank-faced with a monotone "hello" and be like "omg that must be how he shows his affection"
orv bookmark draws, pt. 2! chps 207, 297, 371

There's a giant dragon following me around.
I do not know his name. Though I have asked, several times. He is quite large, and very terrifying.
But I do not believe he means me harm.
There have been several times....
In the storm.
With the pirates.
That.... thing.... I don't know what it was, but he ate it.
I would have been scared once. Would have trembled in my boots with fear.
But I have grown since then.
(I have faced far worse then him)
It has been many years. Yet still he follows me.
I believe I know why he does it. Why he follows me.
Sometimes I wonder if he'll ever leave.
I think he will. With the rest. More and more are leaving these days. I will miss him. When my shadow disappears from the sea.
I do not want him to leave without a name.
I will call him Loyal. For that is what he is.
Toothless is jealous. But. He understands.
I fear he understands too much these days.
He is so young. So old. So small. So fierce.
They are the last two now.
Toothless and Loyal. Loyal and Toothless.
.
Last night Loyal disappeared.
My memoirs are almost finished.
Toothless is still here.
I do not want to live in a world without Toothless.
There's a tiny dragon who follows me around.
Sometimes I wish Earth wasn't hit with the cataclysm just so we could have OG Cale go live in the modern Korea and we could see him be amazed as he tried out everything he hadn't seen before in his world. No inheriting Kim Roksoo's memories business. Just let him explore this new world on his own. He could spend all the money OG Roksoo saved up on branded items. I want to see him wear Louboutins with heels. I wonder if he'd leave the desk job KRS originally had and go become an ice skater. He learns beat-boxing somewhere along the way. I just get so happy imagining him trying out different sports because they didn't have those in his old world. Tennis, basketball, oh he's absolutely fire at stuff like dart throw and archery. His bottle throwing at gangsters gave him enough aiming practice. He loves going to a bar on Friday nights after work- Wait.
If he doesn't inherit Kim Roksoo's memories, he'd definitely have issues adjusting to the new world because of how different it is from his own. The education, the technological advancements. He's gonna have his work cut out for him once he gets there. OG Cale without Kim Roksoo's memories would be Hoshi levels of technologically challenged. He'd eventually get the hang of it. But the struggle is real.
Gosh, it's just so fun to imagine this magical fantasy world aristocrat getting isekai'd into modern day Korea and getting befuddled with everything here. He's gonna have a field day exploring it all. And when he eventually finds and adopts Jour's reincarnation? How tf is he supposed to help her with her homework if he didn't receive the education of this world?! His cute little niece is gonna judge him so hard!
For all the convenience that comes with the new world, it sure has its fair share of drawbacks. And working overtime is one of them. So is working night shifts. Whether it's an apocalyptic world or not, OG Cale's determination to become to the CEO of the company Kim Roksoo worked at solely to get rid of the night shifts would not change one bit. That is one tenacious man after all.
Gosh! Just, OG Cale in modern day Korea!
