Rocky , the brawler that no one wanted to know gets his chance fighting the Heavy weight Champion of the world , the sweet science mover- the cocky – Apollo Creed, Rocky takes the challenge as He got nothing to lose and gives Creed the fight of his life, Rocky loses but Creed is never the same man after that, Creed decides that He must get a re-match to redeem himself but Rocky is not too happy about it, since the great fight they had, Rocky got some sharp advisers that told him there are enough belts in the market he can fight for and that they can order him some tomato cans he’ll be more than happy to fight and defeat with his vicious right hook, Rocky takes the offer and starts his campaign but at the same time Apollo puts a public pressure and accuses the Italian Stallion in ducking, so at the advice of his good advisers he makes it public that he believes that Creed’s long reign must be due to some substance abuse, steroids or whatever, He declines the fight offer, the public starts suspecting Creed and questioning him.
They actually don’t meet until the third sequel after Creed already retired and been inactive for too long and Rocky stops him easily but then a new monstrous star thrusts the scene – his name is James “Clubber” Lang – Lang calls Rocky constantly and even insults his manhood but Rocky keeps on fighting bums and even Mickey warns him that Lang is too dangerous for him, the public pressure builds and Rocky feels that this time he won’t be able to tell the PED story again so he just keeps on fighting bums and looking very good and flashy , doing commercials and all that and the public still in love with , basically what he is doing is that he waits to the fourth film , where old Creed wants to fight the devastating Russian – Ivan Drago, with the genius advice he gets from the promoters Rocky gives a very nice purse to Creed not to fight, instead his promoters make Lang the mandatory and he has to meet the super Russian- with not many options left in his hands Clubber has to face the Russian and of course Drago demolishes him and knocks him out cold in 1 round.
Drago calls out Rocky and the American pride is on stake but Rocky is smarter than that , He wants to fight Lang and explains the public he has a long grudge with the nasty champ who insulted him and his wife, the public buys on it and the match is happening , in fact – this is so big, everyone say it will be the biggest fight ever- Rocky easily destroys the Champ- Lang, after his short but disastrous fight with Drago is what they call : damaged goods, Rocky cruises into another title and a mega payday.
Of course the public still remembers the humiliation that came from the Soviet Union side and the Americans and the free world want revenge and the only one to serve them that is Rocky and Drago is dangerous, so Rocky is finding himself in a dilemma but not to worry much cause he always had the best advisers, they make a public announcement that Rocky is the champ and the greatest , he accepts the challenge but He’ll fight Drago in Vegas- not Russia and He will do it in a catch weight (160 pounds), Drago has to accept it because the world’s opinion is not pro-soviet union so he finds himself in Vegas fighting for the heavy weight title but weighting 160 , for Rocky it’s a piece of cake, he is much smaller guy anyway – another great victory for Rocky against a dehydrated Drago – Eazy money.
After Drago disappears into obscurity everything is good and the future looks very bright to Rocky , he has never had any brain damage, he has tons of money and life is cherry pie , then he meets a kid in the name of Tommy Gun, the kids reminds him of himself – big heart, good looking- a warrior, Rocky starts training Tommy and the kid shows promise, of course he is nothing like the Italian Stalione but the advisers think it’s an awesome idea these two will start hanging around in public and make an hype, the public falls in love with both and believes Tommy is a true future great after he gets rid of few bums and get the belt the advisers come with a great plot: Tommy should start disrespecting his beloved mentor Rocky and then call him out, it works like charm and the public buys like mad PPV’s and makes it the richest fight in the world , not to mention that all that did not happen overnight but was a result of a buildup that took 2 years where negations were Going and Rocky demands 70 percents of the prize money, etc.. the fight goes and Rocky schools the student once more in the ring, it seems that poor Tommy never knew that bravado only won’t help him, Rocky never taught him the art of boxing really, easy money.
Now for the last sequel , Rocky is already retired and very wealthy and old and boxing is in his far gone past, He watched a TV show where he is being compared with the current Heavy weight champ- Mason Dixon, Rocky pays small attention to that comparison but his advisers seize the opportunity to make some big money, they announce publicly that Mason had no chance against the greatest- Rocky back in the day, in fact he got no chance at all even today- Mason feels disrespected and calls out the old champ from retirement, of course Rocky never ever ducks no one but He makes an exclusive interview in ESPN where he explains that in his age fighting a young southpaw is ridiculous and that his legacy is already cemented as the greatest ever , the public sympathizes with the great old champ but still begs for one last fight so Rocky agrees that a special edition video game will be released where he is fighting Mason and all his skills are programmed well to the game.
Based on his undefeated record as an heavyweight the Video game Rocky can never lose to Mason- the game becomes a world-wide success and once again Rocky wins, he is a winner in life and He lives happy and happily forever with Jessica (His mythological wife Adrian, well’ I forgot to mention but He divorced her at sequel 3 as the good advice of his promoter to give him more of a player appeal but later he married again to resume the Family man style).
