subscribing to a fic isn’t enough I need the author to blast a bat signal into the night sky whenever they update
please remember today and this feeling for the rest of our lives. it doesn't end here. there's still work to do, there are still people to save and protect. we have to count on each other to survive. they want us to forfeit and bend under their weight. they want us to snap and they want us to disappear, to be submissive. live because it's what they don't want us to do. persevere because they don't want us to persevere. make a change because they are scared of it. hatred can not be left to fester and rot. we aren't going back. history might repeat itself but time keeps moving forward, so we have to as well. stop relying on people in power and rely on the people who love you. teach the children in your life that their future matters. teach them to read and write and sing and tell stories. teach them to understand what they're reading and to do something with it. the curtains are blue and you know why they are. literacy and education is more important than ever before. so is teaching your children how to look out for others and themselves. teach them to be brave, teach them to have courage. teach them to persevere.
be safe. be smart. be kind. be careful out here. be cunning and be prepared. it's up to us. don't go down without a fight, and know that a fight doesn't have to be an uproar. sometimes a fight means meticulously planning, hiding in plain sight, knowing when to strike. sometimes it means moving when no one can see you.
bravery does not mean you are not scared. it means you are continuing to move forward while listening to your fear.
