Last Movie You Watched: “Atomic Blonde”. I highly recommend it! It’s pretty close to the graphic novel, except they changed the ending (which made me unhappy, but it still is one of my favorite movies).

Last Show: Either “Killing Eve” or “Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern”. The season finale of “Killing Eve” was on Sunday and it WAS SO GOOD, but kind of emotionally harrowing. Please do give the show a try if you can. It’s amazing. :)

Why did you create your blog: I adore a lot of fandoms and figured it might be fun to try my hand at ships, drabbles, headcanons, and such.

Other blogs: I have 4 other blogs total. @boogiewoogiebagelboyofcompanyb is where I post photos of my cat, Bucky as well as memes. @the-24-7-shift-at-the-salt-mines is where I post some really strange quotes I get from family and friends. I’m still working on setting that up, but my older brother’s a bit of a meme so it should be prolific in no time. One of the other blogs is a Dottie Underwood rp blog that I’ve been dragging my feet on setting up. The last blog is one that I don’t really use anymore so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Do you get asks: I do! They’re in the form of requests and I’m taking a quite frankly ungodly amount of time to do them. So so sorry if you all have sent in requests; exam season’s passed and my health is sort of stabilizing (knock on wood) so hopefully I’ll be able to get things done in a timely manner.

How did you get the idea for your url: I love Natalia Alianovna Romanova with all of my heart, so there we go! Natasha + my favorite of the many names given to her!

We think this was the closest we could get, but not in a bad way. We thought she was fitting for this role as a female Lucifer. We hope she’s a good fit to you also.

We had fun with this one, we thought it was a good idea to do Crowley after Lucifer. We both joked the they gave us hell on finding a good genderbend version of them. I think both me and Zara ( @natasha-the-slavic-shadow ) got the Crowley vibe from Monica Bellucci.

Joanna Winchester {KATE BECKINSALE}

Love who @natasha-the-slavic-shadow came up with, overall hate John. Well other then his younger self. He was nice, older self not so much. We had a good time finding pictures and gifs of Kate Beckinsale even if we didn’t like the character we used her for.

I’m just going to state, I had no idea why I came up with this one and i’m oddly happy I did. I’m still wondering why my brain thought brad pitt.

Let me tell you about mine and @natasha-the-slavic-shadow genderbent version supernatural characters, and no i’m not talking about Sam, Dean and Castiel. They get done to much and it makes me want to slap someone, even if I might do them later on.

Let me show you my choices for Team Sweet Sass (Aka Gabriel and Balthazar) along with Charlie and Adam. Also these aren’t going to fit as well as I wanted, but Balthazar was hard to find one for, along with Gabriel.

Zara (Or Balthazar, doesn’t really matter.) {NATALIE DORMER}

Other then her hair color and eye color, even if that did really help. We liked or I truly liked how strong she looked. She was a good choice by @natasha-the-slavic-shadow and i’m happy with this.

Gabrielle (or Gabka) {KELSEY CHOW}

While I know it’s not the best choice, it was one of the easier ones. Gabriel had a lot more choices unlike Balthazar, I might change this one as time goes on or maybe not. I hope this was is okay…

Charlie (or Charles) {SETH GREEN}

We had no choice, Charlie was the hardest and this was the best we could come up with. Seth Green was are best choice for red heads, but it’s not a bad thing. Zara ( @natasha-the-slavic-shadow ) showed me this choice, and I can now only think. “Why didn’t we go with this from the start.”

Addison (Or Adamina) {ALEXANDRA DOWLING}

Adam was harder then I thought he was going to be, it was oddly hard to genderbend him. We thought Alexandra Dowling was the best fit, mainly because of her hair and eyes. We joked that why she was in the water in the GIF was because she was cooling down from the heat of hell.

Am I the only one who noticed that "Not in Vain" (the piece played when the antidote is being sent all over the world), borrowed heavily from "Auld Lang Syne"??? Because that hurt a whole lot.

Edit: Also "Take Me Home, Country Roads" has a similar tune to "Auld Lang Syne" (and is closest to "Not in Vain"). Well, that makes it even worse.

{Real Talk: Lack of Male Readers.}

I think I might just make this a series of me talking from the heart, I have topics that are just about the Merlin fandom or just about fandoms. The topic I have for today is: The lack of male readers.

Okay I know there is a lot of gay ships in fandoms, but we overall have a lot of female readers and it makes me mad or just a bit sad. I know there is a lot of female readers, but males hardly get anything from fandoms. I know there is some male readers, but it’s very rare or hard to find sometimes. I want more for the males in the fandom, I know there is Male reader x Female character and it’s not as uncommon but there isn’t really any Male reader x Male character.

All i’m saying is I want to see more content for males and i’m tired of seeing ones only for females. I’m not saying stop altogether making Female reader stories, but take time to make some Male reader ones. I’m sorry if I came off rude, but I want people to listen to this.

Can we talk about how few reader-inserts there are for specifically male readers? Because, wow.

Live Fast Die Young Bad Girls Do it Well

I went to see Atomic Blonde and I’m having the same kind of bombed out, obsessive reaction of “is this what it’s like to see someone like ME kick ass on screen? is this why men are so confident?” that some of my girlfriends had to Wonder Woman. 

I enjoyed Wonder Woman (other than the disastrous and cheesy 3rd act) but it was really difficult for me to identify with her- she’s naive, idealistic, super heterosexual (for a Patty Jenkins film), largely untouchable/unhurtable, and she’s also honestly kind of dumb: most of the movie is just men telling her not to do something, and she does it anyway, but only succeeds because she’s brute-forcing with DEMI-GOD POWERS in a world of mortals. 

Atomic Blonde on the other hand is about a cynical, world-weary, haunted, non-heteronormative woman who actually has to actively WORK to survive: the stunning action sequences really show how much more effort she has to put in and how much she has to use her brain to survive brutal hand to hand combat with men who are bigger and stronger than her and outnumber her in every single encounter. She takes her licks and they show- the amazingly gorgeous Charlize Theron stumbles around half the movie covered in bruises and scars.

One felt like an action figure and the other felt like a woman like me. I think that Wonder Woman is a great role model for young girls, but Atomic Blonde is a movie for all those women who, like me, have taken their licks and fought tooth and nail in a world of men who actively make it hard for them to succeed at every turn. It’s about fucking time. 

I’m going to be on hiatus until the 14th. I just finished a couple online classes that were pretty high-stress so I need to give myself some set time to reset. I will still get on Tumblr, but I don’t know if I’ll write anything.

I SAW “ATOMIC BLONDE” AND OH MY WORD! IT WAS ACTUALLY REASONABLY CLOSE TO THE GRAPHIC NOVEL (some character changes, name changes, and more details added, with a few cut. But otherwise!) AND CAN I PLEASE BE LORRAINE BROUGHTON WHEN I’M A GROWN UP, CHRISTMAS ON A CRACKER, IT WAS GREAT! AND THE F/F RELATIONSHIP WASN’T AS FETISHIZED AS I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE! AND THE ACTION SCENES WERE FANTASTIC! OH! AND THE SOUNDTRACK WAS AMAZING!! THE COSTUMING WAS COOL AS WELL!

(Warning though: the ending is different from the graphic novel and this might annoy you. Otherwise though: 👍 it’s some good stuff.)

In short, this film was spectacular and I want more. Please please PLEASE go see it.

Baking Day with Natasha

A/N- Sorry this is so short and for not posting much this week! My online classes are trying to take over my life, but things should be back to normal soon. Enjoy! The delectable scent of warm, fresh vanilla cupcakes filled the air as a pajama-clad Natasha used her special Black Widow themed oven mitts to pull out the first batch of cupcakes and set them out to cool. It was 2PM in the afternoon and you two had been baking all day. Together, you and Nat had already finished nine dozen chocolate chip ookies, two apple cakes, a snack of two baked apples, and a cherry pie. Natasha and you had started having weekly baking days on every Saturday to catch up with each other and relax after a hard week of work. "These look like they came out perfectly," Natasha's lips formed a small smile as she leaned back to admire the gorgeous cupcakes you two had made and to put the next batch in. You nodded in agreement as you grabbed the ingredients for frosting from the cupboard and asked, "Does chocolate frosting sound okay? I feel like we haven't made as many chocolate sweets today." "Y/N, does that question even need to be answered? Of course! And if any of the others have a problem with it; too bad." You turned the heat on low and melted the butter into the saucepan. Then, Natasha added in the cocoa powder while you stirred. When it was ready, you poured the mixture into a mixing bowl, turned on the mixer, and Natasha added in the remaining ingredients. The fast rate at which she poured the powdered sugar resulted in a cloud of the fine white powder covering most of the counter and the majority of your clothes. You two coughed for a bit to clear the powdered sugar from the air and then laughed. You grinned and laughed out, "How angry do you think Steve's going to be since he volunteered to clean the kitchen after we bake?" "Oh, he'll get over it," Natasha said with a smirk. Unsure what she knows that you don't and being used to her semi/cryptic replies, you simply hum in reply and turn your attention to the beeping oven. You checked the cupcakes' consistency with a toothpick, satisfied with their texture, you brought the rest of them out to cool. Natasha had begun icing the cooler ones and asked if you could fetch the sprinkles. You obliged and the two of you began frosting and decorating the cupcakes. Times like these with Natasha were always your favorite.
