The woman laid in his arms, her eyes blinded from the attacks in battle. She bled out from the sword embedded into her stomach, but it had been so long that she couldn't feel the pain anymore. He had long since ordered his soldiers to find the medic back at camp, but it was taking too long.
The light, slow, gentle snowfall had been ongoing since the night before, covering the ground in a thin layer of white that was now dyed red all around the two of them. Her sightless eyes gazed up at the snow-filled clouds, a few snowflakes landing gently on her face and melting faster than she could tell.
He promised her that he'd keep her safe.. that he'd protect her, but he couldn't make to her in time.. he was on the other side of the battlefield, but the moment he saw the enemy raise their sword against her, he shoved away the one he was fighting and ran. He ran as fast as he could but he wasn't fast enough.
Now the enemy was gone, leaving a battlefield littered with different bodies of both his team and the opposing, but they didn't even cross his mind when she was bleeding out in his arms. He couldn't even do anything besides press his already blood covered hands against her wound.
She called out his name, her voice holding a small tremor. He immediately looked over at her blood-stained face that was still so beautiful, even with the cuts and show of war..
"It's quiet.."
so was her voice.. he had to lean over to hear her better. He slowly lifted his hands away from her wound when he realized that she wouldn't make it out of this place..
"..Is the snow pretty..?"
he pressed his lips together as he held back tears.. she always loved the snow, but she couldn't even see it once more before she passed. Without even raising his gaze from her face, he spoke gently. His voice was always gentle when he spoke to her, such a difference compared to when he ordered around his other soldiers.
"..mm.. it's breathtaking.. it always is.."
She gave a small, serene smile. She knew he didn't look, and she also knew the hidden meaning behind his words.. he took her hand in his, giving a gentle squeeze, which she was too weak to return.
"I'm glad.. I've always liked the snow"
..'I know'. He let out a shaking, pained breath as he watched her let her eyes fall closed before she whispered one last time.
"I hope you see me when it snows.. I'll be there.."
As he watched her, he could only give a small nod even though she wouldn't see it. The tears finally fell from his eyes when he could no longer see the small cloud her warm breath created against the cold air. He leaned over and pressed his forehead against hers, letting out quiet sobs as he hugged her limp body against his chest.

Like the soundtrack is incredible for Hidden Inventory but we do NOT talk about this scene enough?!? About that INSANELY beautiful part in "With Rage" which just feels like the perfect representation of Geto's breakdown and anger in song.

I remember watching this and like legit sobbing because hes so reserved but here he loses it and doesn't hold back and even then he realises it's just not enough. He's not enough. Riko died in front of him, he thinks Gojo is dead and then he loses to Toji and finds out Gojo survived but he's not right, he's changed. Like the Gojo pre and post that is very different.
Like we talk about Gojo feeling like Geto died a long time before he had to kill him but do you ever think Geto felt like Gojo had already died to him too? That it didn't matter that Gojo had come back because to Geto he lost everything that day and knew he would never be able to get it back.

When the big evil scary monster pauses and starts to observe you out of curiosity, gently grabbing your chin and turning it side to side to look at you. Soon moving down to your hands to observe how small they are against its own.
personally i think there should have been at least one episode where sokka collects aang and zuko and is like, “looks like we’re running low on supplies. time for a GUYS-ONLY field trip. three days of hunting and fishing and polishing our swords. y’know, manly warrior stuff. (aang, sotto voce: actually sokka i’m a vegetarian as you know–) you girls have fun sitting around braiding your hair and talking about your crushes” and then the entire episode is just zuko and sokka lying around by a river, plucking blades of grass and staring up at the stars confiding in each other their deepest feelings and most secret insecurities while aang braids flower crowns, and whenever the screen cuts back to katara and toph and suki, they’re fighting and screaming and hacking away at river pirates and evil spirits and legions of assassins and hired mercenaries with swords. you know, as girls do.
and when the boys finally drag themselves back to camp (they stayed up way too late discussing what true leadership really means and whether or not power always corrupts) they find suki and toph and katara lounging around with black eyes and fresh bruises and bloodstained weapons and sokka shrieks, “what were you guys DOING while we were gone???” and karata just shugs innocently and says in her sweetest voice, “oh, you know. just girly things”
i think deku's never given enough credit for how much crazier he is than katsuki. like... if we're looking at them surface level izuku's the more well-adjusted, liked, sociable one but whenever Shit He Cant Process Well happens, he always rushes in, no plan, all teeth and grit, out here growling and drooling like an honest to god rabid wild animal to the point where his own quirk restrains him or goes haywire (blackwhip). katsuki always looks lowkey scared when he sees deku's crazy eyes, like holy shit, hes gonna get himself killed. while katsuki on the other hand, has always been calm and collected in stressful situations, despite pretending otherwise. he always has a tight rein on himself and his emotions, so every action is purposeful, especially in the latter part of the manga and this parallel between them kills ms
