Some recent art i havent posted here yet

1st one is the current wip for a piece regarding Pan and Dyna, hopefully I’ll finish it soon tho I have theatre/CDA things that need to be done first.

2nd one is a concept/doodle of Nova and Rosaline just for rendering sake.

3rd one is a finished Nova piece, I’m still kinda in shock that I made it tbh.

Anyway I’ll maybe be back soon, have been going through a rough breakup but I’m feeling much better lately! <3

Hey! So it’s been a while since i’ve posted here, and I totally didn’t forget to post these here or anything, so here are my most recent digital pieces!

I’m not too happy with the second one to be honest, but it serves its purpose lore-wise so it is what it is.

Life is too hectic, I wish I could just be a little hobbit eating 7 meals a day in peace.

I did a collab with two of my friends (tho I finished first D: ) it’s the “one base, 2/3 artists trend thingy, tho we are a bit late to the party. But this also has lore so i’m pretty happy regardless.

Feyrith sold his soul in a way. Though, to be fair, he didn’t know he was praying to the trickster god. A sacrifice is always demanded, and he failed to provide. What a shame.

Was planning on making a christmas post but i’m unsure now since i have been totally disarmed by heartbreak. I’ll endure but idk when my hiatus will be over.

anywayyy…. Nova has many skills she can’t explain, from knowing how to sew to being fairly decent at sword fighting. Amnesia claimed her memories in the fall, but her education remained.

i take 2d art in school but honestly it’s kinda boring. we do like everything but portraits (which is the one thing i’m good at) so its bleh for me, but my friends are in the class too so its ok i guess.

i’ve been in kind of a rut lately, mdd plus boyfriend out of state for a week equals sadness lol. i can’t draw digitally anymore without being exhausted and the only thing keeping me busy is rewatching OUaT and playing Stardew.😭😭

I’ve had some discourse over this piece and would love an opinion…

So the image on top is a recreation of the bottom one I just finished, i used the original (bottom) panel for reference at the start of the piece, where i traced the general pose— where the arms, hands, fingers, are and how they connect proportionally to the subjects.

I posted the speedpaint on tiktok and acknowledged that i used the panel to recreate it and credited where the panel was from in the caption. Someone saw this and began to accuse me of tracing the entire piece and told me off for it.

I tried to explain to them that I used just the pose and composition but they insisted it was still wrong. So, my question is: Is it okay to use another creator’s art for a pose to recreate the piece with credit?

And, like i said, please give me an answer, I’m genuinely wondering.

(Side note: I feel as though I should’ve asked them first but Michele Fus has been my biggest idol since the second grade and I am terrified to bother them.)

Omg hiiii !! I’ve gotten so many new followers of this blog lately and I’m soooo grateful, It feels amazing to know you guys actually like my art :3 !! Dyna Malstrom, aka Dyna Feather, is the captain of her treasured ship, The Sunrise. She’s an ex Elemental Elf, having been kicked out of the community when she was a teenager.

Sadie’s basically me but with a more serious name so it’s really fun being able to draw them in outfits i wish i could wear <3

SPIDERGIRL!!

I made a spidersona for a challenge on instagram and oh my god i love them so so much.

Sadie Spark is nonbinary and bi, they’re in marching band (nerd) and play the flute (double nerd). They use their costume as a way to express themself since wearing 70’s fashion to school isn’t very popular. They’re autistic and struggle with emotion regulation as they cope with PTSD and other issues that come with their job as Spidergirl.

The costume isn’t 100% the same every time they go out as spidergirl, though it’s the one they try to wear more often. They keep the main purple suit under their normal clothes, and will wear those clothes over the suit if they have no time to change.

The Spidergirl mantra was picked mostly by the media, as they couldn’t outright say they were nonbinary. Though Sadie doesn’t mind the name, as long as nobody tries to underestimate them for it.

They dont have web shooters, instead inventing guns to shoot webs for them, with different types for different functions. They have sticky hands, though, and their spidey senses tell them when someone is lying.

Caroline and Finn (he’s the ginger) are besties, which means they get to randomly go sleep in the woods sometimes when their classmates go missing and they decide to go find them. Don’t you love teenagers?

He may look pretty but he’s not to be messed with, it’s more of a ‘look, don’t touch’ situation tbh.

It has been almost 3 years since The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was released and I just saw someone on tiktok call it a cash grab and fanservice and in the same video, say that no one wanted it. Fanservice only happens when people want the thing. If Collins was going for fanservice, she would not have given us a villain origin story for President Snow; instead she would've given us the Haymitch or Finnick story we all wanted for years.

An author wanting to add to her world that is so loved and that she spent so long creating after a decade is not fanservice and not a cash grab.

Pan (right) and Dyna (left) were once star-crossed lovers— right person wrong time, if you will— Pan, being a descendant of the long extinct Satyr, was forbidden to be with Dyna, as her private family was against what they considered “cross-breeding”. Pan begged Dyna to run away with him, but she was too scared and heartbreak turned him cold.
