Your gateway to endless inspiration
1. Imagining and visualizing are quite similar, but imaging things is a lot less restricted by the way our universe works. You can imagine a unicorn and a cat having a tea-party in your front yard, but it's not going to happen. As long as your intentions are strong and clear, it shouldn't matter if you have a clear picture in your mind or not. I have the same issue, don't stress.
2. Of course you can! Sabbats observe seasonal changes, and anyone is allowed to celebrate that! You can do and take pieces from the celebrations if you'd like to make them your own, and have a special meaning to you. Even non-witches can observe new seasons and equinoxes!
3. No, if people focus too much on the materials rather than their purpose in your craft, there probably spreading false information.
4. Of course you can! In fact, most witches do. You're practicing your craft, a journey your spirit guides should be helping you on. It's not disrespectful at all!
5. I worship Aphrodite too! Yes, you don't need to make Aphrodite your patroness to worship her or dedicate facials to her. Back in Ancient Greek times they worshipped gods and goddesses and asked for help and guidance but never necessarily worked with them.
6. It can, but you don't need to label yourself or your craft and limit yourself because something that interests you defies the stereotype. Do your research on what you're drawn to and go from there. I'm a green witch, I've found that "label" suits me best as I've always liked plants and the idea of faeries living in my backyard.
7. I completely understand! Don't stress. Personally, I write whatever I'm thinking about down before a meditation session. Like "What am I going to eat for dinner?". Then I can think about these thoughts afterwards.
Questions from a baby witch to the more experienced witches out there
Ok so hii, i have some questions i need help with. Some of them might be cause i still need to read and learn but i still want to know lol. I’ve only been into this beautiful world of witchcraft for around 7-8 months.
Also english is my second language, if you dont understand something let me know and i’ll try to explain myself better!
1. Whats the actual difference between imagining and visualizing? Cause i can imagine things easily but i can’t actually like see, for example, the circle im casting.
2. Can i celebrate beltane, yule, ostara etc even if im not pagan/wiccan? Of course im not trying to offend anyone by asking this! I genuinly want to know, cause i’ve read that these celebrations are from closed cultures/religions but i’ve also seen people out of those cultures/religions celebrating them and im lost.
3. Is it true that runes have to be made put of wood? I read a girl saying that if they’re made out if other materials they won’t work as they should and i want to be sure before buying them.
4. Is it ok if i have my tarot readings on my altar? I have kind of a scarf (its not an actual scarf) on my altar that i use to lay my cards and practice. I always cleanse the space but i wanted to know if it’s ok and not disrespectful? I also have my spirit guides candle there for worshipping and a warding/protection spell jar just to be sure
5. Can i worship a deity without working with them? I’ve asked this before lol but i just want to be really cautious. I really like Aphrodite, im an esthetician so when i give myself a facial treatment i dedicate it to her lol. Could i have things for her on my altar?
6. Does knowing what kind of witch you are take a long time? I know i have a long way to go and a lot of time ahead of my to figure it out, i just want to know from someone’s experience :) im kinda into divination though. Is there a way, besides practice, to know what my gifts are?
7. Meditating sometimes its hard for me cause i cant stay still and i have a thousand thoughts per minute. Any tips for this? I try focusing on my breathing and do guided meditations but my mind always ends up drifting away and its very hard for me to concentrate
Thanks in advance and i hope i dont offend anyone!!!!

The sabbats are holidays celebrated throughout the year on solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between them. These sabbats form the Wheel of the year.
There is a controversy surrounding the dates of these holidays, as people celebrate them all over the earth, not only in the northen hemisphere but in the southern too.
One viewpoint is that the Sabbats should be celebrated as they were originally created to be… in other words, Samhain is October 31st, regardless of where you live. In the Southern Hemisphere, even though you are just gearing up to summer on October 31st, this perspective says that you celebrate the cleansing and releasing, the honouring of the dead just as you would if you lived in the Northern Hemisphere. The other viewpoint (the one I personally agree with) is that you should celebrate when you feel like the season corresponds with the holiday, in other words, your craft, your rules. So if you live in the southern hemisphere, you have the choice.
I’ll be writing the dates for each holiday starting with the northen hemisphere and then the dates that many people celebrate them in the southern hemisphere

↟Do a tarot reading relevant to that sabbat.
↟Spend time in the moonlight, charging your crystals and tarot cards, as well as meditating.
↟Bake something using at least one traditional food of that sabbat to share with others.
↟Cleanse your living space and any of your magickal items.
↟Write down how you’re feeling and how you’d like to feel in the weeks to come.
⭐︎ Cleanse your deck after you buy it!! This is so so important, because you want to start working with a new clean energy.
⭐︎ There are thousands of ways to cleanse your deck. Cleansing can be something super simple, as just knocking on your deck 3 times or placing a crystal on top of the deck! Just do what feels right.
⭐︎ Interview your deck! After you buy new cards, talk to them, ask them questions and figure out the decks personality. There are a lot of fun spreads for this.
⭐︎ Sleep with your deck. Another good way to bond with your deck is sleeping with it near you. Just put it under your pillow or somewhere close to you over night!
⭐︎ You don’t have to read reversals. It’s up to you if you decide to turn the card back around. Again, do what feels right!
⭐︎ Reversals don’t always equal opposites. If you decide to read reversals, remember that it can have completely different meaning then just being opposite of the upright position.
⭐︎ Start simple. Start out with something simple like past/present/future spread. It’s super easy and gives you clarity on any situation.
⭐︎ Spend time looking at the picture. When you pull a card, really spend time observing at all the different colors and symbols before you look up the meaning.
⭐︎ Jumping cards usually have something important to tell you. If you’re shuffling your deck and a card jumps out, look up what it means and what message it has for you!
⭐︎ Pull a daily card each morning. This is super fun and easy. You definitely don’t need to do this everyday, but it’s a good way to memorize the cards and their meanings.
and finally, practice, practice and practice! It’s going to take a while until you remember all the meanings, but just have fun and enjoy the process!🦋

Combat Magick: The Art Of Mystical Warfare
Combat magick is the practice of using metaphysical and energetic techniques for defense, offense, and strategic advantage in spiritual or psychic conflicts. It blends elements of protection, attack, and counterattack, often drawing upon personal will, energy manipulation, and ritual magick to influence outcomes in battles—whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
• Energetic Warfare – Combat magick works by manipulating energy to shield, attack, or neutralize threats. Practitioners learn to harness their own energy and direct external forces to achieve victory.
• Intent and Willpower – A strong will is essential in combat magick. The practitioner's intent determines whether their spells are defensive, retaliatory, or aggressive.
• Cleverness and Intellect - When it comes right down to it, your mind is the single best weapon in your arsenal. The practitioner should possess a some level of mental prowess before attempting combat magick.
• Ethical Considerations – While some use combat magick for self-defense, others employ it for baneful purposes. Some witches mayfollow guidelines such as the Threefold Law or personal codes of conduct that forbid the use of such workings.
Defensive Magick (Shielding & Warding):
• Shielding: Creating energetic barriers around oneself or others to deflect attacks (psychic, emotional, spiritual).
• Warding: Placing protective symbols, sigils, or enchanted objects around spaces to prevent intrusion.
• Cleansing & Banishing: Removing negative influences through smoke cleansing, salt, sound, or sacred words.
Offensive Magick (Curses & Hexes):
• Curses & Hexes: Directing harmful energy toward an opponent to weaken, confuse, deter, or harm them.
• Energy Manipulation: Sending concentrated bursts of energy to disrupt an enemy’s balance.
• Elemental Combat: Calling upon fire, water, air, or earth to aid in magickal attacks.
Counterattacks & Reversal Magick:
• Mirror Spells (Return to Sender): Reflecting an attack back to it's source.
• Unbinding & Curse Breaking: Severing unwanted energetic ties or removing hostile spells.
• Reversal Magick: Redirecting negativity away from oneself and sending it elsewhere.
• Sigils & Symbols – Used for protection, strength, or attack. Examples include Algiz (protection), Mars glyphs (aggression).
• Herbs & Crystals – Protective plants like blackthorn, vervain, or dragon’s blood; stones like obsidian, hematite, or black tourmaline. Baneful components include herbs like datura, calamus, belladonna or Spanish moss and stones like opal, sardonyx, and garnet.
• Blood & Personal Energy – Some warriors of the craft may infuse spells with personal essence or their own blood to strengthen the magick.
• Chanting & Incantations – Words of power can amplify intent and activate spells more effectively.
• Astral Combat – Fighting in the spiritual realm through visualization, dream work, or projection. This can help you catch your target in a vulnerable position and quickly gain the upper hand.
• Witches & Sorcerers – Those who practice both light and dark magick for protection or justice.
• Psychic Warriors & Energy Workers – Individuals who engage in spiritual defense against negative entities or forces.
• Shamans & Spirit Walkers – Practitioners who deal with hostile spirits or supernatural threats as well as those performing exorcisms.
• Chaos Magicians – Those who employ sigils, servitors, and energy constructs for their warfare.
Combat magick is not for the faint of heart—it requires discipline, mastery of energy work, and deep self-awareness. While it can be a powerful tool for protection and justice, it should always be wielded with wisdom and responsibility. Whether defending against psychic attacks or engaging in mystical battles, combat magick remains an essential part of the spiritual warrior’s arsenal.
Be aware that this blog may touch on sensitive topics regarding death so read on at your own discretion.
Death energy is just energy that comes from death and death symbolism, but as simple of an answer as that seems to be, don’t be fooled by the much deeper complexities that this topic harbors. When we really dig into it we discover some darker truths about our existence and the hereafter. Truths that many people are more comfortable ignoring because they force us to face the inevitable.
Death energy is about stillness, endings, and about the deconstructing and reconstructing processes. It’s about using what’s passed to fertilize what’s new and grow something that has purpose in the next step of your life. It’s about the acceptance of inevitability and what we can’t change to bring about what we can. All in all it’s a very unique energy that can open many new doors for any witch willing to try.
• What Does Death Energy Feel Like? •
Everyone feels energy differently in the basic of ways but even still, it should go without saying that death energy has a different pull to it entirely then life energy. Sometimes those who aren’t used to connecting with it can have a hard time. It’s been described as heavy, or even smothering by some. Others have said it feels cold or chilling in a way. The funny thing here is that these definitely describe what naturally comes with death. Our bodies get stiff and much heavier. We lose our heat and grow cold, and while this definitely sounds unpleasant and shocking to those who aren’t used to spending time with it we must also recognize that it’s a part of a continued cycle. As our bodies further decay the weight becomes less and the shock of the cold against the once warm skin becomes just another room temperature feeling. Another words, things come to feel more natural especially when you understand the process and spend time with it.
All new energy can feel overwhelming to anyone who hasn’t experienced it before. It can bring up a whole plethora of unease, nervousness, even anxiety if you’re not ready for it. Especially death energy. As stated above, it can force us to face certain things. Things that can be heavy and hard to accept. For this reason working death energy may not be for everyone and that’s okay. It deals with subject matter that makes some people uncomfortable and as such if you’re not ready to incorporate it you have every right not to.
• What Can Death Energy Be Used For? •
Death energy is the primary force in death witchcraft and death magick. And as a result each witch is gonna use it in their own unique way. There are so many interesting books and articles published that describe plethora of interesting ways to work with the energy of death. Many of which put their own unique understanding and spin on how it came to be, how it works, and how you can use it. But in my opinion you can use death energy for everything you can use life energy for and then some. It just pulls the magick from a different place and in a different way. Remember each one of us processes things in a different way, especially death energy. Do what makes you feel comfortable and never let anyone push you to cross any lines you’re not ready for. Comfort in magick is very important.
Lastly I want to take this time to emphasize what death energy is not used for. It is not and never will be an excuse to just take human life. Murdering someone is never okay. Nor is it an excuse to unnecessarily torture animals. Now I understand that using animals in general can be a debatable subject, especially when they are killed by the individual. However it should be understood that many believe this is okay during appropriate times and only when you utilize the animal and not waste it. So as an example hunting during deer season or catching a fish. The animal in question can be used for magick but will also ultimately be eaten and many witches see this as an appropriate practice. As long as everything operates within the confines of the law and everything is treated with respect and dignity.
For a lot of death witches, doing work in a cemetery or graveyard is a must, although there are those that don’t, a great deal more either do or will do when they get the chance. Lots goes into this type of work though and a thorough study on the subject should be done before pursuing this type of magick. However, some key points to remember are to always be respectful, obey the laws and rules of your land regarding the resting places, and listen to what the dead tell you.
It’s very important to recognize that there are always going to be practitioners that have their own unique rules on this subject, but the best way to know if the dead favor something or not is to ask them. What rules you inevitably believe should revolve around what the dead are comfortable with. That said, some of these rules are shared amongst practitioners. I have compiled a list below with some of them. Remember, this is very basic and what a practitioner adds or changes is up to them.
💀 Always bring an offering for the gatekeeper.
Typically these are the oldest spirits in the cemetery and are in charge of maintaining order. Most offerings include things like coins, drink, bread, or apples.
💀 State exactly what you’ll be doing and ask permission from the gatekeeper.
It’s important to let the spirits know what your intentions are. Will you be doing magick at the crossroads, magick at a grave, or foraging? The gatekeeper should let you know through energy what is acceptable. Remember each Cemetery is different and has different rules over all.
💀 Never take things directly from a grave.
Gifts on a grave belong to the spirit dwelling there. It’s okay to pick up things like trash, or moldy flowers in still water but, rocks, dried or fresh flowers, feathers, etc should be left alone.
💀 Be respectful of the graves and spirits.
Try not to walk near the headstone of a grave (you’re walking on their body. Try to stay near the feet and always say excuse me politely if you have to step on it), always ask for a spirits help never demand it, and always bring them an offering as a thank you.
💀 When foraging never take what a spirit tells you not to.
If you’re gathering dirt, sticks, or plants from a cemetery, even if it’s not on a grave, and you get a feeling like you shouldn’t touch it, then don’t. Spirits will always let you know what they want to keep. Obey that or it’s theft.
💀Always give thanks for hospitality before you leave.
Being polite and thanking your hosts is always a must in general and can bring good energies between you and the dead. Especially if you intend on going back to work at that Cemetery.
Another common staple amongst death workers and arguably one of the most misunderstood practices. Simply put, this practice is divination with the dead. It’s all about connecting to and asking the dead for answers from the beyond. Lots of that used to be done in the cemetery and as a result many wild and fantastic rumors about zombie creation were formed, but that’s far from the truth. There were indeed many radical understandings within the practices history however, but as science matured so did the knowledge on what this practice actually was.
While necromancy is still done in cemeteries even today, it’s not a must. Calling fourth a spirit can be done a number of ways and will definitely alter and change based on the witch. Some working maybe more cultural than others, and some may be more complex. The uniqueness of these practices can number well into the double digits and is always interesting to learn. Some of the most common spirit summoning techniques (aside from going directly to someone’s grave) are the spirit board, a mirror, and the pendulum. As for how these spirits are called, that too can differ from witch to witch. Most often though, it can involve candles or crystals as an energy source, a personal item or favored item like food, and/or the spirits name. It can be as simple as physically calling out to the abyss, beckoning the spirit forward or as elaborate a ritual as calling in the four directional guardians or a guide to lead them to you.
Regardless of how it’s done, it’s always a good rule of thumb to be respectful to them. Don’t demand from them, ask instead, and offer gratitude and an offering when you end the session.
Lots of death workers may worship deity just like any other practitioner. However the deity they are generally more drawn to are often either associated with the underworld, or a psychopomp, like Osiris, Hades, Anubis, or Hecate. However they may also be a deity tied in some way to the personification of death, much like Thanatos, or the grim reaper.
Even if the witch chooses not to utilize deity they can still conjure up spiritual guides of some sort. These guides can be something as common as ancestral spirits or even animal spirits. Most common animal guides often have some death association and symbolism to them. So animals like Black cats, bats, vultures, owls, crows and ravens are quite popular.
Its not uncommon to see bones on the altars of death witches. Many beliefs around these tools and what they represent circulate within the community. For some specific animal bones it’s believed you can use that animal spirit and energy. Other beliefs revolve not around the animal itself but rather the type of bone, as each one has its own unique symbolism attached to it, such as a jaw being connected to communication. The possibilities are near limitless and for most death practitioners they are a very necessary tool within the craft. Some practitioners even collect additional things like insect exoskeletons, animal skins, and preserved body parts like a rabbits foot.
DISCLAIMER! People should be made aware that it’s always encouraged for all materials to be ethnically sourced. Any form of unlawful collection or cruelty is frowned upon and not condoned within the community.
As started above, these are just some of the basics of death work within the pagan community and serves as a starting point to bounce off of. It’s very important to do your own research and come to your own conclusions regarding this craft and always remember to obey your local laws. Death work can be very fulfilling but not when it’s done under illegal circumstances.

Do You Believe in Fate/Destiny?
I have gone back and forth on this question for over 15 years. I used to think like this: when the good fate happens, yes! When the bad fate happens, no. I find that the words Fate or Destiny are rooted in positivity and materialistic values, and I think many others will currently (or used to!) have the same belief that I once did that the Fates only arrive on the breeze with good news, never the bad or ugly. The more I delved into my practice by pouring time and soul into research, meditation, spirituality and witchcraft, the more I understood that fate or destiny isn’t always the light side of life, it encompasses the dark too. Do I now believe it exists? Wholly.
At this stage into my practice and reading, I have become aware that there are certain soul milestones we want to achieve before we come to Earth, but I don’t think these lessons are linear. They aren’t “supposed” to happen in a certain way at a specific time with the perfect people. They occur when they can, based on the choices that form the paths we take in life. Every choice we make matters. Each one makes an impact in one way or another, which means they can change the course of our futures and therefore the way in which we receive Divine Timing. The lessons will come either way, but the circumstances around it may change to lean more heavily into the positive or even perhaps the negative. We must learn the lesson either way. If we’re clever about it, we will able to check a few teachings off in one fell swoop and make a great leap forwards into greater circumstances than thought possible. A destiny that aligns with our heart and soul.
I don’t believe that fate works to give us what we want, I believe it does so to give us what we need. They are two very different things. For example, we may want a big, beautiful house in a big, beautiful neighbourhood, but what we need may be a small, rickety cabin where our soul feels comforted and warm. We may want lots of money to buy the things we think we “need”, but what we actually need is basic financial security to traverse safely through the human experience. It is wise to look between the lines of wants vs needs and act accordingly. Can we take a step back and ask ourselves what life lesson do we need to learn right now? Is there something we can do to change what our brains want into something our souls crave? Are we able to see so clearly that we can take charge of the smaller lessons too in the shadows of the large?
Sometimes it’s difficult to figure out what our current life lesson is, as it can arrive seemingly out of nowhere - this is where practices such as Tarot and Meditation come into play to help work it out. Sometimes it can takes weeks, months or even years to go through a soul milestone and it won’t always appear in the preferred way. But when it does arrive, it’s imperative to welcome it in and embrace the changes whether there are highs or lows; it’s an opportunity for growth no matter what. We are also able to ask the Universe to speed these fates along to aid us in reaching our highest good, and it will do so promptly! We are the Universe experiencing itself come alive; it wants us to traverse unknown territories, explore our feelings and wonderings, achieve great things, fall down in self-pity, move forwards, step backwards. Ask for help to speed things along and see where you end up.
For many big “fate/destiny” stepping stones, it can leave you feeling weak, blindsided and sat at rock bottom. But from the ashes rises the phoenix. Your plumage will be brighter, healthier, thicker. Your spirit and energy will be stronger, resilient and more capable of setbacks. Our soul will be craving knowledge which means we will want to experience more, get lost more, accept challenges more, step out of our comfort more. It’s a funny thing because at some point in the future unknown, we will find ourselves smiling through it all. We will know that we can join the predestined as an equal, a willing participant and a master of our fate.
The Devil is a Christian invention; the Christian invention used to put a stopper in the Old Religion and propel the massacre of 9 million people on its way to power. It succeeded. Almost.
It’s 2023 and I am seeing more and more Pagans and Witches rise from the ashes, and so this post is for you.
Witchcraft, Mediumship, Energy Work and Spiritualism do not need nor want this Christian lie in their teachings. It has been put there to STOP us from working with Spirit/Source. If you work with Source, you will receive abundance in this life for yourself AND others. Why would the self-appointed select few want the majority to access this wisdom? It would stop their own power in the form of control that they firmly believe is theirs for the taking. This idealism is a folly.
Fear is unnecessary for stepping through the veil, as the “Hell” or “Demons” that we are conditioned to expect is already occurring here on Earth by those who taught you them. The invention of organised religion has created ways in which to perpetuate fear - this manifests what we are scared of. Slavery, trafficking, famine, disease, senseless murders, conquer & divide - this is the Hell that we, as a collective, have produced over the centuries under the guise of false religions and what they are propped up by; Capitalism, Corporate Greed, Money.
The Hell that so many are afraid of is already here and now to millions of our people. Because we create it. We allow fear to seep into our lives and eat us alive. We allow the toxic drips of Capitalism and Elitism by simply paying attention. Demons? They are already in Congress, multi-billion dollar companies, Churches. They lurk in your banks, in your shops, in your workplaces, in your homes. Demons are the 1% who control the Citizens of this planet by one simple tool, fear. It works so well that beings from one country will ignore the beings of another. We ignore what is happening to our one true God; Gaia, Earth, Home. We allow the murders of our collective selves because we have different skin colours, different genders, different ideas.
Fear can bring the strongest to their knees and weep.
So if we create our own Hell by succumbing to fear and accepting the global rules applied, is it possible, then, to create our own Heaven? We manifest what we want to see in our world. If most are scared, it comes to reason that most would inadvertently manifest fear of Hell right here. Can we change the narrative? There is nothing to fear in Spirituality, Witchcraft, Energy Work. The powers that be would like you to believe so as it ensures their futures in power. It’s Christian hogwash designed specifically for them. To keep you subservient.
I find that many beginners who come into these circles are afraid due to what we are sold throughout life regarding The Veil - it’s here that I want to say that there is nothing to be frightened of. If you approach your way of life and your practice from a place of positive energy, you will manifest great things. Approach it from a place of fear and this is where Hell begins.
Don’t be afraid of the facets of this movement. Why be afraid of the Witches and Sensitives? Be afraid of the ones who burned us alive.

Excuse me, it's really really rude of you to talk down on others culture and methods of spirituality. No one is forcing you to follow these remedies so why even bother talking shit about it? In India, people are very traditional and connected to nature. Indian's thrive in spirituality and traditions connected to Gods and Nature.
They pray, they sing devotional songs for the lord, they do rituals for the lord, so if you don't like it, just leave it alone. You coming out and talking shit about others culture shows how retarded your mindset is.
Nothing about it is lame. It's just not meant for people like you, so if you can't respect others cultures and traditions, you can just leave it alone.
Indian culture and traditions are one of the most vibrant and beautiful ones I know so please stop shaming and start respecting, because you have the choice to either apply it in your life or not.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO, JUST DON'T. That's all it takes. Geez..but Vedic astrology is NOT lame.
also why is Vedic astrology so lame like, wear yellow, avoid wells and buy 4 cows to remedy your planet's energy. coughactualbullshitcough
i think vedic astrology is heavily connected to hinduism, so although you may not believe all those things i think calling it bullshit is harsh — which could begin a conversation on the western/white washing of vedic astrology but i’m not well versed enough in the topic to have a full on discussion
