free museum trips are wasted on unappreciative middle schoolers. let me go
it's not that I need a quiet day or a day off exactly; it's that I need a pocket of time that exists entirely outside of linear time as we know it that would allow me to get things done without time passing in the real world, and frankly, I don't think that's too much to ask.
i PERSONALLY would like to FALL IN LOVE please!!!!!! and have the SAME PERSON fall in love with me BACK!!!!!!! could i get some MUTUAL AFFECTION out here!!!!!!!!!
just grinned at a tree because it was so green. what being inside all day does to a mf
yall need to drop the narrative of "I become aware of something being mine AND THEN it happens fr" cuz all of this is imaginary and there isn't time.
shit has always been yours the moment you decide. if you're still "waiting" for it to come then you're not operating as God/pure consciousness.
stop trying to convince a human brain that's been conditioned to only view things perceived through the body as real to "believe" it's here. that is so unnecessary.
your God self is aware of being aware and KNOWS the ego's "desires" are here.
and if your ego gets the urge to "do something" through bodily senses then let it. let it struggle and even desire, stop trying to control thoughts when they're not even real.
all of this is imaginary and some of yall fail to realize you are absolute authority and decipher what's real or fake.
this is so simple.
To everyone struggling here, read this -
"Do you need to do so much about something that doesn't exist in the first place? Move on. Let whatever happens happen (including the thoughts), know yourself as you are. Nisargadatta has a quote "life and light must not quarrel; behaviour must not betray belief." Behavior in this case is taking the imagined for reality still, if you know yourself to not be that, why do you betray yourself in action?"
Basically look through and let go of the 'undesirable things' that 'you' may be seeing because they don't exist without your awareness of them in the first place. Fully accept that what you want is done and then do whatever you want.
Is that quote from Ada?? đ
But I agree with everything, just move on there's nothing to do about it because it doesn't exist. Recognize it doesn't exist and let BE what you want
"just stop thinking about it" my brother in christ, if I could stop thinking about it I would
I am Awareness. I am aware of being this body right now, yet I have an infinite amount of vessels I can decide to occupy. In order for me to diminish a circumstance in the reality of my character, I must stop paying it attention and start paying attention to the things I feel like experiencing.
As I am the All, I have no desire whatsoever. The feelings of the ego do not impact me nor do its desires. All things just are, therefore it makes no sense for me - the accessor of all things - to want to strive to get it for there is nothing to get.
Concerns, fears, desires, emotions belong to the character but I am not the character, I am the awareness that is aware of this illusory idea. The character is an idea made up of false memory and thought. It does not exist. There is no-thing. There is no person here. There is no 3D. This is just a dream I made to experience life, for I am everything.
If I notice the character desires something, I do not try to fulfill her as that would be trying to fit a puzzle piece where it doesnât belong. Instead, I start becoming aware of a person who has the things I wish to experience. Everything is at my disposal. I am at peace. I crave nothing, I fear nothing.
"$50k would be nice"
*know* that its already there - thoughts might echo, theyre fake tho
Know that it's there like you know you have a hand or a toe - even if you have an intrusive thought that your toe is missing, you KNOW its still there
Even if you have an intrusive thought that your $50k is missing, you KNOW it's still there
What is this KNOW? ITS *THAT* - once you have an idea for an experience just KNOW SO. ALL THOUGHTS are an illusion, all reality is an illusion. You can still KNOW of these things to experience a specific illusion.
Ignore the intrusive thoughts, fall in the KNOW, into *THAT* which is "yourself" JUST *THAT*
This is all you are, *THAT* is all you need. The rest is a (creative) illusion.
You know the illusion of the body
You know the illusion of your family
You know the illusion of this reality concept
You know you have eyeballs
You know you have skin
You know you have ears
These are all KNOWN givens in your current illusory experience.
KNOWING is ALL you need. *THAT* is who you are. You don't even have to fight intrusive thoughts/ego, fake. You don't even have to observe them, not real. YOU KNOW they are occurring. YOU KNOW youre calm đđ„°đ

How do "I" know "I" exist right now?
Disclaimer: This remix/mashup post was compiled by me, a student of 4dbarbie as a way to make sense of everything and to understand how to apply the knowledge practically. I went through all her posts and answered asks to make this which is made up of various parts of 25 49 (omg lol there was a lot of good stuff) different posts and answered asks. It is not an original post by 4dbarbie herself but all words are directly from her various posts and answered asks (except for my clarification notes which are in purple text in brackets & the last section after the last divider where I make some closing comments). My personal highlights are in purple text also. Hopefully the way I've organised the information in this post makes sense and helps some Vanessas out there. âĄ
Fair warning as this is a pretty long post essay (!) so maybe grab a cup of tea or something :) If you are really new to all this then take some time to really process it, there is no rush. May we all realize our Self âĄ
There would be no steps necessary, no process to undertake if you would just establish yourself in the I AM alone. You are so lost in your play you forget reality. 1 If you are "I AM", it means you are not the person experiencing the world/thoughts/circumstances, you never were. 2
The external world, you control it (because it is you!, in you), you make it, fully, even when you tell yourself you don't. 3 To know yourself as the source of all that is, you have to first remove the veil of what's stopping you from seeing it in the first place. To know your real being, you have to first abandon what you thought yourself to be. 4 There is no external life, there is no need to use any methods to recondition or train your mind. It is much faster, much easier and you are hundreds times happier just letting go of the mind. 5 The process is one of letting go more and more until you find yourself having nothing, being nothing. The thing about nothing though is that it's the only thing that can take the shape of everything. 6
A jeweler who wants to refashion an ornament, first melts it down to shapeless gold. Similarly, one must return to one's original state before a new name and form can emerge. The only way to renewal lies through destruction. You must melt down the old jewellery into formless gold before you can mold a new one. What refuses to die cannot be reborn. - I Am That, Nisargadatta Maharaj 7
Stop thinking you are Vanessa, the thoughts of needing this or that drop away. By thinking you are it, you create a character who desires and then identify yourself with it. You can only have when you let go of thinking that you don't. To change, you need to give up this conviction of being this person. You need to disbelieve. 9
Most of you can't change because you are so desperate TO change... but there is nothing to want to change. Things just are. Don't work with changing self, just realize who self actually is. 10
You have it, all is well. Just stop believing the illusions born out of thinking you're a person. 11
Unless they understand who they really are, that Vanessa is a habit and nothing more - that nothing has existence outside of awareness, including her, that awareness assigns reality and is the only reality - they're always going to struggle to control something and get frustrated they don't see what they think they're aware of. What you're aware of is what you're being. You can't be aware of being something new while also being Vanessa. 12
Knowing is being. If you really knew, the thing you knew would be materialized. You know you are Vanessa so you're being Vanessa. Would you want Vanessa if you were her? No. You are her so you don't desire her. And you won't be able to be Vanessa 2.0 if you don't shed this Vanessa first. That is, let go of thinking the thoughts are yours. 8
Your memories of the life Vanessa lived are now and not in a past. You are imagining her past being now. Her past exists now because you are aware of it now. If you were Lara you would be aware of a different past, still now. Basically there was no yesterday and you are imagining "a past having been" today. 13
Anon: "Do I have to endure the world while I know my self as awareness and disbelieve that I am Vanessa???" Ada: THE POINT OF KNOWING YOURSELF AS AWARENESS IS TO DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WANT AT ALL TIMES, FOREVER. It's complete, incomparable freedom and power. It's the only real love. 14
You are either your Self with nothing attached to it or you're an ego. Disbelieve you were ever her. See what happens. 41
A lot of beliefs are subconscious. "I am a body", "I am Vanessa", "There is a world" are all subconscious, automatic beliefs. Upon investigation you can get rid of any belief (by making them conscious and then dropping them). 15 How do you drop a belief? (see part 1 and part 2)
HOW TO STOP?
The body and the mind are only symptoms of ignorance, of misapprehension. Behave as if you were pure awareness, bodiless and mindless, spaceless and timeless, beyond 'where' and 'when' and 'how'. Dwell on it, think of it, learn to accept its reality. Don't oppose it and deny it all the time. Keep an open mind at least. Make your mind and body express the real which is ALL and beyond all. By doing you succeed. - I Am That, Nisargadatta Maharaj
You need not take time to meditate or put time aside to contemplate and "apply". All you need to do is detach from this form during the day, let life happen as it happens while reminding yourself it's a dream, a dream that doesn't have to be yours. 16 It is your own desire to hold on to it that creates the problem. Let go. Stop imagining that the dream is yours. As long as you give reality to dreams, you are their slave; see all as a dream and stay out of it. 17
You imagine that there is an external world in which the you that you're identified with lives, but all of that is in your mind. Stop imagining it's true and it dissolves, which can only mean it never was. Which can only mean you assigned reality to it by thinking you're it 18
I've said it before, you don't have to convince Vanessa that she's unreal. Just stop taking the thoughts you don't like for truth or reality. There is no convincing involved, it is all letting go... you're holding so tightly onto your ideas now, that's why you can't see their falsity. 19 You don't have to convince anyone of anything. What I teach here is to leave your mind alone, that is all. Don't go along with it. 2 Thoughts will keep on coming for a while, just now you know they have nothing to do with you. Get into a habit of watching, letting them be but not identifying with them. If you can observe them, it means you are not them. 32 Doesn't matter what the thought is, leave it alone, ignore it BUT not by force of will, just indifference. We've established you aren't the ego, alright? Thoughts, right now, are from the ego. 20
Thoughts of the past life come, remember they no longer have anything to do with you. Literal full delusion (I only call it that because after being identified with a person for so long, it's mind-blowing to grasp you are not that). Thoughts are not yours, complete indifference - no need to fight them. Where they come from, none of your business. Only know they are not yours. YOU not being in your desired reality is a thought, got it? This body and this world are not forced onto you, they exist through your identification with them. Not yours, remember? Repeat. Not yours. You won't lose your mind, you'll only lose your misery. After you've detached, you'll easily shift to as many realities as you want - don't put any on a pedestal of desire, they are equal. See this world and the body as not real first. What is true is only what I AM is identified with, right now this body which is not in that TV show (referring to anon's desire). Correct this first by letting go of thinking it's you. 21
You don't need to convince yourself they're unreal, just dismiss them as not yours. They will disappear more and more through your newfound indifference, then their physical counterparts will, too. Detachment is by doubt and indifference. First you start doubting "the facts", then you become indifferent to the facts, lastly there are no facts anymore and you can establish your own. 20
Start letting go bit by bit, just to see what happens, you won't start "acting crazy" just because you become uninterested in thoughts, i promise đ€ 22
What I recommend you to do is bring your self into focus, become aware of your own existence. See how you function, watch the motives and the results of your actions. Study the prison you have built around yourself because of credulity. By knowing what you are not, you come to know your self. The way back to your self is through refusal and rejection. 23
Here's a scale of emotions you go through, from bottom to top: apathy, grief, fear, hostility, anger, indifference, acceptance, freedom finally - and then unlimited, independent joy. You can review this to see where you are on the journey and what should come next. You can't skip them, all of them have to happen for you to have the all. 14
Do not try to understand any more, just be. And let other things be as they are. Even if you're not happy about what you see, there is no way around it besides accepting it. As long as you fight it and try so hard & incessantly to change it, you're only giving it further reality. 14
If you are angry or in pain, separate yourself from anger and pain and watch them. Step away and look. The physical events will go on happening, but by themselves they have no importance. It is your mind alone that matters. When you identify yourself with them, you are their slave, you think you have to act on them. When you stand apart, you are their master. 24
One thing is certain: the real is not imaginary, it is not a product of the mind. 23
You are beyond the mind. Mind and body become your servants once you discover your Self. The present moment is all that is, so yes - become aware of having never been the ego, of your ego being just one of your creations. Ego is the concept of individuality, of separation from the âI", and the All. Therefore ego is a false assumption. We are really the Supreme Reality, we are not separate from It. To "fix" the separation, reject what you are not. Only look at who you are, over and over and over until it becomes the permanent identification and replaces the ego. 25
Once you are convinced that you cannot say truthfully about your self anything except âI amâ, and that nothing that can be pointed at, can be your self, the need for the âI amâ is over â you are no longer intent on verbalising what you are. All you need is to get rid of the tendency to define your self. All definitions apply to your body only and to its expressions. Once this obsession with the body goes, you will revert to your natural state, spontaneously and effortlessly. 23
Drop the false ideas first and watch. After what keeps you stuck goes, you can do whatever you want. You can think the ugliest thoughts and nothing will happen if you know yourself as who you are. It's your identification with the thought that causes the thought to be true. 26
The guilt is because you think you're running out of time and you need to change "your" life now. Be patient with yourself because you don't lose any time, just get to that place I'm telling you about and then you can just go back in time if you so wish. All worry is pointless! And there is nothing to fear, things just happen, do not claim them as yours for a while. Unclutter your mind, it becomes your servant after you've freed it enough. 27
She (Vanessa) will vanish yes, you ask how because you still think waking is more real than a dream. Do your dreams not vanish? Do you wonder how they vanish? They just stop existing all of a sudden when you go into another dream (waking). What if you've lived all your life as Ada and woke up one morning and were suddenly Vanessa with no memory of Ada, would you know anybody vanished? Nope. All you know is who you are right now (because present is all that is), which is Vanessa. 28 Leave poor Vanessa alone, with both her desires and fears, disbelieve you are her until reality becomes self-obvious.
By being your Self you gain the freedom of existing as anything, anytime. You don't lose Vanessa's pretty body if you don't want to stop imagining yourself as being Vanessa with her pretty body. 29
Nothing is lost, awareness just shifts. You can always go back. We're just removing the obstacles that stop you from having this freedom of choice (your identification with this person). You can completely wipe out Vanessa's existence as well. Later if you change your mind, you can make it so that she actually existed again. You are no form, you are formless, the form only is when you imagine there is a form, be your favorite form and dream beautiful dreams :) 30
There is no difference between sleeping and waking, awareness is the background of both. You just think the waking state more real because you've dreamt it over and over and reinforced your belief. They're equally imaginary. Become aware of this and life will forever be a breeze. 31
All depends on you. It is by your consent that the world exists. Withdraw your belief in its reality and it will dissolve like a dream. Cease from looking for happiness and reality in a dream and you will wake up. - I Am That, Nisargadatta Maharaj 17
Your next step will be realizing there is nothing to learn in a dream. You'll find yourself having less and less thoughts, then none at all. Then, only if you want, you will be able to reinstall the mind, now of your choice, and change the dream. 16
Past doesn't come up anymore, memories don't come up anymore after you've ignored (thoughts) & detached yourself enough. They just don't. You can think freely now about being something different. If you can't, don't get mad, don't blame, only know that the one that's doubting isn't you, so the doubts are totally fine to be. They'll be for a while and then they dissolve too, because by ignoring, not getting involved - you forget. And by forgetting not only do you free up so much mental space, but possibilities of what can be, become unnumbered. 36 Anon: Is it okay to feel completely indifferent after learning about this stuff? Like, not feeling as worried about what is playing in front of me since I know its not me Ada: That's the goal. Then become indifferent to the thoughts you get as well. Those aren't yours either. You'll become aware they've dissolved & you can reconstruct the mind however you want because you have no attachment to past beliefs anymore. 33
Even the process is very beautiful... but the very best is when your Self becomes the permanent background instead of Vanessa. Now you always return to Vanessa, later you'll forget to consider her ⥠Dream not of a character who wants and desires, there is nothing to long for â only things to be. 16
To not depend on anything but everything to depend on you is a top state you can grasp with no method. 5 The experience is of being empty, uncluttered by memories and expectations; it is like the happiness of open spaces, of being young, of having all the time and energy for doing things, for discovery, for adventure. A sense of 'there is nothing wrong with me. I have nothing to worry about'. But not one you condition yourself into like you conditioned yourself into a body, it is one that naturally and effortlessly dawns on you by itself when you reject all else, because it is your natural state. 34 Real freedom and real love only emerge when you're not identified with a transient ego. 35
All you are doing is becoming lucid. Becoming able to control the dream. You won't be able to, unless you step out of it. That is, stop thinking this story you tell yourself is true. When Vanessa is no longer all you are, you'll be able to 'change reality' the way you change the film in a video projector. You'll be able to have as much fun in the play as you want to, change it when you no longer want this one specifically. The emotions of the character are fun and welcomed, because they no longer imprison you, there's the background of love to it all - that once you gain, it can't be lost, it's ever present. 36
What you are identified with materializes. If you are not, it disappears. 37
Just let go of the ego, thatâs how simple it is. All you need to fix is your wrong identification. There isn't anyone who couldnât materialize anything right now if he or she would just let go of identifying as the limited body. 38
Only by letting go of all do you gain everything. But once it's done, it's done irreversibly. Fear is no more, control is fully yours. You are free, completely. And with the bliss of freedom no human pleasure compares. You become full love, full power. The absolute and only power. Sooner or later, you will arrive at the same conclusion. You can't stop being what you are, all else can stop existing, but you can't. The only thing you have a choice in is delaying seeing it by thinking you are this or that. Only see it (I Am), then you can imagine whatever you want and it will be. 39
If you project the world, it is within your power to change it. But you must stop identifying yourself with it first. Go beyond, then you have all the power to destroy and recreate. All everybody wants is to be free, but to do that you must know two things: what you are to be free from and what keeps you bound. 2
Your own self is your ultimate teacher, the outer teacher is merely a milestone. It is only your inner teacher that will walk with you to the goal, because he is the goal. - Nisargadatta Maharaj 40

What does this look like when applied?
Experience is the best teacher and learning from other's experiences and how they applied this knowledge can be really valuable and insightful. I don't define success based on materialising things necessarily although that is one result of realizing Self.

Okay, what to do after reading all this?
Apply apply apply. Don't wait, nothing will happen by waiting. There is only now. Inquire who is causing trouble and to whom. You can't think yourself into realization. 'You' are beyond the mind. You are the creator of the mind. It must be experienced.
You already are That. You are never not That.
the more you read, the more you will be trapped in a cycle of wanting the ego to understand. leave the ego alone, it dissolves when you don't pay attention to it. it can't ever understand because it's limited. you, however, are not. identify with the self not the human body. don't try to do it, don't force yourself to meditate or read 10 books (unless you aren't reading them to get something). all you have to do is just be. lose the sense of doership. the ego might have to do things to accomplish something but you are not the ego, you already just are everything. there is no doing involved, just being, but don't trap yourself in forcing yourself to just be because that leads to you still listening to the egos desire to want. there is nothing to want or desire if you are the universe.
just rest. if you feel desire, don't try to convince your ego that you already have it, just view the thought and drop it and things will unfold the way you'd like for all is I AM.
Okay real talk here. This journey isn't always easy, especially at the start when you've just learned everything and you're identifying with an ego. Near the beginning of my journey, I came to understand a lot of the teachings intellectually and even instinctively. There was only one thing left. To realize Self. And I would keep trying with all these practices but felt like nothing was "happening" (even though intellectually I already knew there was nothing to achieve since we are already Self!). It was frustrating (but of course! I was still looking at all this from the identification of the ego).
Then one day I was sick of trying, sick of feeling desperate, sick of being on this goddamn mental pilgrimage, that I decided to give up on trying altogether. I already AM Self. From that day on, I decided I would always identify as Self and never again as the ego. And that's when things started naturally unfolding without me even doing anything and I gained more understanding experientially. Probably an unpopular take (for realized gurus lol) but I also threw away self-inquiry as a practice because I found it to be the least helpful for me personally and why do I need to ask "Who am I" when I already know I Am?
Abandon all imaginings and know yourself as you are - Nisargadatta Maharaj
I stopped seeking. I stopped trying. I stopped asking questions (including self-inquiry yay!). I stopped doing any practices to "get" or "understand" or "realize" anything. I stopped caring about understanding more of the teachings or gaining more understanding intellectually. I stopped thinking of Self-identification as some goal to reach, something that I need to progress on. I stopped waiting for anything to happen and just enjoyed being in the Now. I didn't realise at the time and only now upon reflection I realise that I gave up on all ego activities on spirituality lol. All of that is the ego looking for something to do and trying to achieve something. Only through my experience, do I now understand more deeply the things that realized masters have said. E.g. Robert Adams said something like "stop trying and seeking to be liberated and you will be because you already are". We've imagined our prisons but we are actually already liberated and always have been.
I decided (because it's true!) I already AM Self, it's not something you need to become (or understand in order to become). And because I AM, there is nothing to do but be.
edit: I found this passage a day after writing the initial draft of this post and Robert Adams said the same thing! But giving up was something I was led to by listening to Self. Truth is Truth :)
There is nothing you can think of in this Universe that can tell you what you are. It is beyond words and thoughts. You can never with your ïŹnite mind understand who you are. So do not try to do this. It works in reverse. It is when you actually stop thinking about who you are, or wanting to know who you are, and you stop analyzing, and you stop trying to ïŹgure it out, that the truth about you is revealed. Self-Realization from Silence of the Heart - Robert Adams
Two things I didn't stop doing: observing as the witness consciousness and sitting in silence in the awareness of being. But both "practices" are things I as Self naturally do because it's my very nature! It's not the same as when I used to identify as the ego and did them because I was trying to achieve something. Sitting in silence & stillness is literally my favourite activity now haha. I'm not sure whether to describe witnessing my ego progressively dissolving or merging into Self because both feel correct? Ah but that doesn't matter. Another thing I stopped caring is to label things as well and just let everything be and unfold on its own - there truly is so much peace and beauty in just being Self! I'm only trying to use words to describe this to share with others in case it's helpful for their journeys but of course words are limiting and you can only understand this when you experience it yourself.
There is nothing to get, only just BE. And it is soooo freeing and wonderful once you understand this. Give up on trying to make the mind and ego understand you are Self, that is a fruitless task. Leave them be. Stop trying to make things happen and just let things be. The more you stay in silence with this understanding, the more the light of awareness shines through and the more you will experientially understand this. Allow things to be and happen on their own, including the permanent identification with Self. Have no desires, expectations or judgments and just surrender to the Now. Just keep being Self.
Only look at who you are, over and over and over until it becomes the permanent identification and replaces the ego. - 4dbarbie
Remember to listen to your own Self above all. Everything else is simply a guide to point you towards Self. You are your greatest teacher! So listen to your Self and do what feels right for you.
Your own self is your ultimate teacher, the outer teacher is merely a milestone. It is only your inner teacher that will walk with you to the goal, because he is the goal. - Nisargadatta Maharaj
hey Ada... i read your post "Appearance Changes" and in it you say to imagine as if i already have my desired appearance... but i can't stop being self conscious of my "old" face... what do you suggest i do
When you look the way you want to, you aren't "conscious" much. Notice how you only become self-conscious when you feel like something's wrong with your body/face? When you think of your appearance as perfect you don't get that involved with/in it, you just let it be - your body is no longer a concern. Since it's everything you want it to be, you can attend to other matters and simply exist, you don't need to always "take care" of it, make sure it looks its best, wonder what others will think of it, etc.
I suggest you no longer mind it, think of your old appearance as only a memory. Did you exert any effort in looking like the undesirable you? You didn't, right? You just existed like that. Likewise, now you just look like this, and no past or memory has any relevance to what you are/look like in the present. Tell me, if you are it, does what you used to identify with before matter at all? You keep thinking you need to do something about your old self but it's dead, you're only keeping it alive by thinking there's more to do/things to fix. Why do you keep poking something that has no importance to you anymore? You needn't :) you look ai generated now baby xx who cares what was?
My notes: This is basically a TLDR version of my first 4dbarbie remix post How to realise Self. My original intention for that post was actually to make something like this, a really straightforward (and short lol) practical guide on how to let go of the ego in order to realize Self that I could refer to and apply on a day to day basis. It ended up being a long essay (it was over 3000 words aha) as I decided to go through all her posts and answered asks and found a lot of important information to include so it sort of became more of an educational post (which I'm glad to have made and it helped me understand everything better too!). So anyway, here it is. Pretty much all of the below information was taken from my How to realise Self post (besides the suggested exercises section at the bottom) - I just extracted the more practical guidance outside the explanations to make it. As always, my personal notes and highlights are in purple text.

Step away and look (observe). The physical events will go on happening, but by themselves they have no importance. It is your mind alone that matters. When you identify yourself with them, you are their slave, you think you have to act on them. When you stand apart, you are their master 7
Just stop taking the thoughts you don't like for truth or reality. There is no convincing involved, it is all letting go. 8 Doesn't matter what the thought is, leave it alone, ignore it BUT not by force of will, just indifference 9
Start letting go bit by bit, just to see what happens. You won't start "acting crazy" just because you become uninterested in thoughts, I promise 10
You don't need to convince yourself they're unreal, just dismiss them (your thoughts) as not yours. They will disappear more and more through your newfound indifference, then their physical counterparts will, too. Detachment is by doubt and indifference. First you start doubting "the facts", then you become indifferent to the facts, lastly there are no facts anymore and you can establish your own. 9
Your next step will be realizing there is nothing to learn in a dream. You'll find yourself having less and less thoughts, then none at all. Then, only if you want, you will be able to reinstall the mind, now of your choice, and change the dream. 3
All you need is to get rid of the tendency to define your self. All definitions apply to your body only and to its expressions. Once this obsession with the body goes, you will revert to your natural state, spontaneously and effortlessly. 4
Reminder: This body and this world are not forced onto you, they exist through your identification with them. 12
Suggested exercises (not required if you don't want to do it!)
1. Sitting in silence & just being with no thoughts - The whole point of sitting in silence is to realize what you are, pure beingness. Awareness only becomes consciousness when it has an object. The object changes all the time. In consciousness there is movement; awareness by itself is motionless and timeless, here and now. 4
2. Start doubting you'll wake up as Vanessa tomorrow - Not to get it, but consider it actually⊠What if⊠I wake up tomorrow and I realize an entire life has been just a dream?! Equal to the one I dreamt last night?! What if you wake up and realize it all was a nightmare that you THOUGHT went on for years and it's just been a few hours... even get scared and terrified about that thought. Better than getting scared about non-reality.
WHAT IN THE WORLD?! That never was... but I felt it so real, I swear I was her?! Yet here you are, awake, and the dream never was.
Do it like that. Doubt that it's anything but a dream as much as possible. 13

The actor is the character, but the character is not the actor just like awareness is human but human is not awareness. Does the actor completely define themselves as the character only? Nope of course not! Playing / acting of that character is only temporary. The actor never defines themself completely as the character or only limits themselves to how their character thinks. Either does awareness limit themselves to only how their forms think. The actor is simply acting, just like how the awareness is simply observing.
You are simply the observer, the watcher, and the observer / watcher, should never define itself completely with its own observationsâŠwhen observations are only just that..observations.
When you imagine your desire, you immediately and instantly experienced it. Imagining a pillow and seeing a pillow physically is the same exact thing. Why? Because it is both an equally observed experience for awareness. Doesnât matter if it's âmentalâ or âphysicalâ. The awareness is still that desire regardless. Simply put imagination on the SAME level as the physical, and define them both the same, instead of labeling one of them being more ârealâ than the other, because that is not true. Both are at the same level, and the same standard, both are one.
There is no such thing as manifesting in non-dualism. But you can observe / be aware / imagine your desired observation / form throughout the day. And you can stick with that observation often. But that is up to the person. Some people observe/ be aware of their desire, and then think of something else and go on with their day. Why? Because they know their power, and nature, and know they donât need to hyperfocus on their desires when they are already that desire. It is completely effortless. Stop waiting for the physical to confirm anything when you can confirm it yourself.
You have the ultimate access to be ANYTHING. To be ANY form. To observe ANY observation. If you want to be Spiderman, bam, you are fucking Spiderman. You do not see it? Because you are still giving power to the âphysicalâ over you. Does a little human sense of sight completely decide what you can observe as an awareness? Of course not. You give too much power over one form of you, and therefore you are not able to âseeâ another form of you. The physical doesnât determine anything. It doesnât decide for you what to be aware of and what not to be aware of. You decide that all on your own.
Observing/imagining / being aware is all-natural for you to do. Tools like affirmations can remind you or help you about your observations but you do that all by yourself naturally. These tools can simply guide you but they do not make you do what you already can do. Just know to not put them on a pedestal when you are the pedestal itself. It does not give you power when you are power itself.
âïžpart twelve of the understanding consciousness & non dualism series
hi cuties. this is the last post of the understanding consciousness and non dualism series and i want to say thank you so much for everyone that supported me. im happy that my posts helped ppl understand this concept better. the aim of the series was to break down the topics so that it can be easier to comprehend even though its so simple but the ego makes it seem harder (as you can already assume).
by now you understand that your real and only identity is consciousness / awareness / the observer / the source / imagination and everything is consciousness ("your" phone, "your" mother) which appear as separate and different forms even though its all the same thing, you. nothing is real and everything is imaginary. imagining something is the same as having it in the "physical world" bc there is no "physical world" bc there is no separation bc everything is just consciousness. nothing is real but things exist when you become aware of them (example: these words can never be real but they exist bc you are aware of it). this human body and thoughts/ego is not the real you, real identity. its not real its just appearing as something else. consciousness is the only reality so reality is everywhere bc consciousness is everything. desires arent real bc the moment you become aware of something, it exists instantly, youve experienced it instantly. "desires" are you. you dont create anything, you are everything. forms of consciousness just appear as separate but arent. even the 5 senses arent real and are limited to the power you are (consciousness). as the observer, you observe everything (in the unreal physical and in imagination).
the point of non dualism is to realize your true self (consciousness) and be free from suffering in this "life" that you think is real. remove and be free from all concepts and beliefs and the past. they are not real and never will be. once you understand non dualism, there is no suffering or pain or no issue. you cannot take things seriously bc you know none of this is real in the first place. personally, i think the point of "life" is to realize your true nature and enjoy life and peace with whatever ego desires. if ego desires being a rockstar or having piercings or getting free money, then thats what it is. the point is to experience whatever ego wants to experience.
you are the game character (human being), you are the game's plot, you are the producers of the game, the one playing the game, the game console, the game itself, everything. and this game is all imaginary.
be present and enjoy everything bc its all you. ego desires something? be that desire and imagine it.
none of this shit is real so i can and will treat myself how ego wants to be treated in imagination since its no difference if its in imagination or in the "physical" bc both are imagination either way. ego wants to go to the beach? in imagination i will go to the beach and enjoy every second. you see how free it is to imagine whatever knowing that imagination is everything and everywhere? its unlimited. you are unlimited.
imagine the "desire"
done. it exists and i experienced it instantly.
the 5 senses are not real as said before and the "physical" is the same as whatever you imagine. if you depend on the unreal "physical world" then you are limiting yourself to the body's unreal senses. what powerful being would limit themselves to an unreal thing?
whatever ego wants, i will be bc thats the game and rules i chose. there is no such thing as something against me or restrictions or oppositions or something that is making it "hard". everything is unreal and is me (consciousness) either way. you dont have power, you are power.
realize you already are whatever ego desires. you are already living in imagination and you always will be. experience whatever it is you want to experience.

after reading through your posts and other non-dualism blogs i realised that when i was in loa, i struggled so much to manifest as i kept seeking validation from the 3D more than my imagination as i kept relying on my human body, the 5 sense for validation. if i didn't see it in the 3D/ experience it with my 5 senses i would automatically be like "oh i don't see it" then i either continue affirming and persisting or do SATS fulfilling my inner man, or other loa methods. and the cycle repeats again. it's like i know the knowledge i know exactly how to apply but due to the fact that i couldn't stop relying on my human senses to determine what is "real" and what is not. it's so automatic and that's the reason why i was stuck in the cycle and i couldn't get out or actually persist for goodness sake as some point in time id be like "okay this is not working ill try something else" then came the void obsession. i would try so many methods just to get into the void and manifest my desires. affirm, persist, fulfill the inner man, seek validation from my 5 senses and then start all over again and it never stops. everyone keeps saying that the 3D and the 4D are separate which made it even worse as it would be EVEN HARDER to actually see my desires as mine when the physical senses are showing the opposite. no one denies that the physical sense are fake. we are taught that we have every right to feel whatever we want to feel and that our human body is real etc.
then when i left loa and stepped into the non-duality community. it started making so much more sense. everything is an illusion, nothing is real. everything is consciousness/imagination. my trauma, my name, age, height gender etc. NONE OF IT IS REAL. the only thing that is "real" is awareness. even my 5 sense aren't real. so why would i have to rely on it? seek validation from it? i no longer have to "work" to get it in the human experience. NO. there's no affirming to "get" something. there is no "desire". there is no "manifestation". there is no "human body/self/ego/senses" ALL OF IT IS IMAGINARY. self doesn't desire. self has everything. self IS EVERYTHING. there is no "3D" no "4D". these concepts do NOT exist. they are made up and are an illusion. is doesn't make sense to call yourself limitless and then limit yourself to methods, affirm/persist, laws, etc. THERE ARE NO RULES. there is no such thing as "if you don't fulfill yourself, you won't get your desires". desires are from the human ego, the human body-mind has desires. SELF DOES NOT HAVE DESIRES. it doesn't make sense for self to desire when self is everything.
the 5 sense aren't real, never were, never will be. the moment we imagine something it INSTANTLY exists. the reason why we do not "see" is because we identify with the false self/ego hence thinking that it's not real. i remember i saw a non-dualism ig account say this before @infinite.ko.
"You can instantly experience a reality without your 5 senses, only by observing it, if you constantly limit yourself to 5 senses, you will identify with the Body-Mind and go down the "Why isn't it here yet" hole"
the concept of manifestation does not exist. it doesn't make sense. you claim to have all of your "desires" then why do you look else where to search and search for it when it has been within YOU all along? you job was never to affirm 10k times, repeat to saturate your subconscious mind, get into the void to "manifest" or "materialise" your "desires". why would you work so hard to "get" something when all you had to do was realise that it was within YOU the whole time? "manifest", "materialise" only exist because you think that there is a 3D reality for them to show up in. when the truth is, there was no "3D" or "4D" in the first place. there is no imagination VS reality. nothing is real, it has always been illusion VS illusion. your only and ONLY job ever is to simply just OBSERVE. just sit back and watch.
thoughts
feelings
emotions
body
mind
5 senses
if you want something simply observe it. imagine it. that's it. once you imagined it you already experienced it. as the observer and awareness you are not even supposed to put in the bare effort to get anything. NOT EVEN AN OUNCE OF IT. why on earth would you want to experience it with the physical senses when you are just the observer and you can experience it by just observing? the physical senses are an illusion. "manifestation" was supposed to be effortless and easy, but the idea of our "thoughts" and "states" manifest and we are supposed to change them is just TOO MUCH. there is nothing to change just observe/imagine/be aware.
if anytime you get thoughts like "why is it not here" "why don't i see it" "why hasn't it manifested yet" you are immediately identifying with your human self. as your true self/ nature would NEVER think/ even say such things. it would simply OBSERVE.
credits to all the non-dualism blogs out there, i couldn't thank you enough for teaching us this. thank you <333

That is so true!! Relying on the human senses will always be our downfall, we can affirm and persist, apply states, do SATS, script, or any method we want, but if we can't accept that it's DONE ALREADY, then it's all for nothing! It really is a vicious cycle.
I'm also guilty of jumping from method to method, I got the most "results" from affirming and persisting, but I wasn't "getting" my "big" manifestations, so I switched to states, which did nothing but stress me out đ with the 3D and 4D being separate, fulfilling the "inner man" like it's too much.
Non dualism has given me all the clarity and peace I had been searching for since 2019 when I found law of attraction. I am so happy that myself and other bloggers were able to help you on your journey as well đ„čđ«¶đŸ I am so happy that you are now in a better place and are out of the cycle of trying to "manifest" and "get things". Such a stressful way to live.
Hi barbie, please can you make me understand this... To make my life perfect, do I just assume that it is perfect? But even if I do I look at the world around me and there are so many things I'd like to change... how can I assume perfection when I don't see what I want to see? thank you for replying
Before the world was, consciousness was. In consciousness it comes into being, in consciousness it lasts and into pure consciousness it dissolves. At the root of everything, is the feeling 'I am'. The state of mind: 'there is a world' is secondary, for to be, you do not need the world, the world needs you. The world has no existence apart from you. At every moment it is what you're imagining it is. You create it, you destroy it. Perfection is just a state of mind, when it is pure. You are beyond the mind, whatever its state, pure or impure. To be aware of a world being there and it being perfect means there is nothing to be changed, because everything is as you want it to be. Love your life, love your world, because it is perfect, now.
note: anything works if you assume so
decide what i want
know itâs mine + accept my desire (in the 4d)
throughout the day i sometimes imagine whatever i want thats related to my desire (usually inner convos & visualization)
remain faithful to my new assumption. if any doubts or unfavorable things come up, i just say âitâs doneâ to remind myself that it is. period.
E A S Y. i repeat these steps whenever i feel like it. thatâs it, i love you allđ€
this is inspired by one of edwards video (i cant remember the name) but one thing i like to do is remind my self what god would do.
would god worry about getting something?
would god worry about not being able to do something?
itâs a nice reminder that i am god and really i have the power to do what i want and feel what i want!
Points to remember
1. Self must be expressed in the outer world. That's why there is nothing to change but self.
2. It's actually the inner man desiring not your body. So it must be fulfilled in your inner world.
3. Acceptance of your desires means to accept the desire in imagination.
4. Have faith that you are already what u want to be, once you accepted it.
5. Creation is finished, means, you have to do nothing but be in the state of already having it.
6. Whenever you thought negatively about your desires remind yourself that States manifest, thoughts don't.
7. A state can be maintained by the methods like affirming, visualising etc,.
8. You can change your state by intention, like, u can say " I'm already what i want to be" with knowing that it is true. This is how u change a state
9. It's not for how long you stay in a state, it's actually how often u be in the state of wish fulfilled. " It is the frequency". If you think about your desire 10 times a day then out of 10 how many times do you feel the wish fulfilled.
10. As long as you fulfill your desires in imagination, you shall not be worried about anything.
11. Feeling â emotions, feeling is knowing that u have your desires.
12. 4d>3d, just like 3d>2d.
(literature girl summer) we're back to finishing a book in two days
thereâs something very nostalgic that Iâll never be able to explain about watching the sunset at a parking lot
exactly what i was going through
Undermining Inner Movement Due To Lack Of Physical Movement
The only movement that matters is the movement within.
Iâve been thinking lately about why sometimes I would never see my Full manifestations materialized even thought I would ((seriously)) change so much within.
Like seriously.. Iâm a person who goes through multiple deaths and rebirths internally. The things I thought last week probably arenât what I think this week and itâs surely not what I thought last month. Iâm always expanding upon my life philosophies and dogmas to try to learn more about the world. Since the beginning of the year I really have completely changed inside. Blossomed into something completely different to the point where the me from pre late March just feels so disconnected from the me of now.
I say all this to say that I Do do the hard inner work and have the hard inner conversations with myself to shed old parts of myself to make room for the new. But then i ask myself, why does my external world not reflect that change?
Honestly this is something that would have me tripped up for a long time because before anyone comes in here saying âitâs clearly because you havenât changedâ, iâm going to stop you right there since I think I know myself better than a stranger on the internet. If anything, I think itâs because I championed external movement more than internal movement.
I was watching some Edward the other day, his video on internal movement. He spoke about how the movement inside should be the only movement we should seek, the outside is merely a bonus. It made me think about how I would undermine my Very Real internal transformations just because there wasnât tangible evidence on the outside to substantiate that change which, in turn, would lead me back to square 1.
At times I would literally feel trapped by my outside world but as Iâm typing this now I realize that itâs because I was too invested in the outer world. This feeling of encagement rlly would be because I would be someone completely different inside, but outside there was nothing to back this up. I felt (sometimes feel) like the world would never change⊠Like Iâm trappedâŠ
But again, the only movement that weâre after is the movement inside since reality is within not without. Me getting to a point where I completely felt like a different person inside shouldâve been where I stopped and congratulated myself because thatâs where the mission was accomplished⊠because.. again.. reality exists within.. not without.
Essentially feeling like a new person inside means I associated myself with this new state so much that I felt disconnected from the outside world but my need to see that reflected outside would have me back at square 1 because it was putting me back in a state of lack.
I honestly donât remember where I was going to go with this but I want to just share this to remind everyone that if youâre like me and find yourself trapped at times, youâre too into the 3D. Remember that the hard part (internal metamorphosis) is already done and go back to your imagination to fulfill urself and experience what youâve given yourself. Even if it feels like nothing is changing, know that youâve changed in the only place where it matters and the rest will unfold beautifully ⊠at least thatâs what I tell myself
If you know that youâre a different person inside, if you know youâve done the work, and if you feel disconnected to your 3D that is because youâve shifted states. Youâre more connected to a new version of yourself than you are to the current one in the 3D. Donât let 3D validation keep you bogged down to the old story by changing your state from (being) to (wanting/waiting).
As I typed the last part I had a new epiphany lol. All the other times in the past I would only get my things half way is because I wasnât fully committed to the fact that imagination is the only truth. Only half of my toes were dipped into the pool not the full thing. But Iâve decided to really let the mirror go and take a chance on faith and see where that gets us.
Thatâs all for now. Hope that helped!
Fleur hiiiii I feel like I have a good grasp of states and persisting now but how do u not be afraid of time? Like with deadlines in the 3D and stuff
hi anon, hello.
if you were truly fulfilled with having it in imagination, meaning HAVING IT because imagination = reality, then you wouldn't be focused on the how, when, or if it'll manifest!
Iâm sure you get asked this a lot so forgive me for this, but how do I change my physical appearance withoutâŠ.yâknow, obsessing over the 3d ?? i donât know why but physical appearance is what Iâm struggling with the most bc all I have to do is look in the mirror or even look down. I feel like I do accept the imagination as truth, I really truly do believe in all of this stuff. but it also feels like I accept the 3d as well too much. It feels like Iâm stuck between the two realities tbh, and both are fighting to have most of my energy and attention. So I guess another question would be how do I balance the 3d and 4d in my life? I donât think I want to completely dismiss the 3d and see it as irrelevant.
âŠ..Also love your account k bye đ«â€ïž
"all I have to do is not look in the mirror or even look down" you don't have to do this! I've been there as well where i tried to avoid mirrors as much as possible. please don't fight with your 3d. your 3d is a gift you received from god(yourself). your 3d is a simulation of yourself and should be highly honored as such. I'm 100% against the "fuck the 3d, 3d is my bitch" attitude.
youâre obsessing over the 3d because:
a) you're still trying to change the 3d
ditch this mindset immediately. it won't aid you in any way. if you want to be successful, you are going to have to ditch this "i want to change the 3d, my 3d needs to change" mindset one day. there is no other way. manifesting isnât about changing the 3d although thatâs what attracts most people to this community. your goal isnât to change the 3d. itâs not your job to change the 3d. your job is to change your self-concept aka your state of consciousness. thatâs all you are concerned with. you only spiral because you think itâs your job to make it happen in the 3d, so when the 3d goes wrong, you think you must be doing something wrong.
b) you're not fulfilling your desire in imagination
desires are within and must be fulfilled within. iâll preach this until the day i die. itâs not âonce i get my desire in the 3d, iâll be fulfilledâ. no. you fulfill yourself in imagination. thatâs the only place where you can truly fulfill yourself. once you fulfill yourself in imagination, you wonât look for results in the 3d because you already feel fulfilled. thatâs when the 3d results suddenly seem irrelevant to you. you realize that this whole time, you didnât actually want results in the 3d, you wanted to have it in consciousness/imagination. results in the 3d is a bonus, not your priority. desiring is a confession of not being it. so, if youâre still desiring, thatâs already enough of proof that you have not fulfilled yourself within.
c) you're not identifying yourself with your true self(the invisible you) but instead with your avatar(3d self, body)
ed artâs videos and series (must read!)can explain it better than i ever can!
to your next question,
"how do I balance the 3d and 4d in my life?"
3d isn't something separate from the 4d. would you say 2d is separate from 3d? probably not. a piece of paper is 2d, and it exists WITHIN 3d. so, 2d is a part of 3d. it's the same thing. 3d is WITHIN 4d. they're not separate!
"all that you behold, though it appears without, it is within, in your imagination, of which this world of mortality is but a faint shadow" -william blake
there is no "outer world". there is nothing "outside" of you. though it appears without, it is within!! everything in the 3d appears to be without, but it is within since 3d is a tiny section that exists in 4d just like how a piece of paper(2d) exists in 3d!
there is no "balancing" the 3d life and the 4d life. you're always living in imagination. always. you can never stop imagining because imagination is who you are. this is equivalent to 2 dimensional bugs such as ants asking how to balance their life of 2d and 3d. whether they like it or not, theyâre living in the 3d. but since theyâre 2d beings, they can only sense 2d with their physical senses. but it still doesnât change the fact that theyâre living in this 3d world. itâs the same thing for us.Â
when you see something you dislike in the 3d and think to yourself "ugh! i hate this! why is it like this?", where is that taking place? in imagination, in your consciousness!! everything and everyone in the 3d penetrate your brain. so, it is in your brain, in your consciousness/imagination(i don't believe in brains but you get what i mean). everything you experience in the 3d, you experience through your consciousness. everything is consciousness.
the only thing you can do when you see something undesirable in the 3d, is to not accept it and be indifferent to it. the key for me is not identifying myself with it.
there was a girl who lived in neville's time and went to neville's lecture and asked him how she can change her undesirable circumstances. she went on and on to explain her situation. and you know what neville said? he smiled and said, "don't accept it". she then realized that no matter whatâs going on around her, she was under no obligation to accept it as final. she started focusing on the fulfillment of her desire instead of her circumstances, and she was able to manifest in 2 weeks.Â
if thereâs something in the 3d that doesnât deserve my precious attention, i simply do not identify myself with it. there was recently a family drama where my grandma had a beef with my aunt and she called my mom crying blah blah blah. what did i do? i didnât identify myself with it. there was no need to resist or fight with it. i simply do not identify myself with anything that does not serve me or make me feel good.Â
say you want hazel eyes. but in the 3d, you have brown eyes. you identify yourself with your inner self, which you always have been, and fulfill your desire in imagination/consciousness only. then youâre conscious of having hazel eyes and have this inner conviction that you have hazel eyes because you do. then you catch your reflection in the mirror and see brown eyes. what do you do? donât identify yourself with it. 3d is a magnified mirror of your (inner) SELF. so, you seeing brown eyes in the 3d is simply a remnant of the state you were in. but youâre no longer in the state of having brown eyes. therefore, it shouldnât bother you in any way. you simply donât identify yourself with it. plus, when you fulfill your desire in imagination and identify yourself with imagination, the 3d no longer bothers you because your desire feels so real. you canât even deny it.
hope this helps!Â
