Abstragedy Week Day 3 - Hurt/comfort
Knock-knock-knock.
Zooble knocked on Gangle’s door for probably the tenth day in a row, awaiting a response. They had been visiting her every day since they got back from the Spudsy’s adventure. Gangle had seemed sadder and more quiet since then -if that was even possible- and Zooble wanted to be sure they were okay. Besides, they always enjoyed Gangle’s company. And she had opened the door and welcomed them in every day (except today, apparently.) Just as Zooble turned away and was about to walk back to their room - they must have all gone on one of Caine’s adventures again, they thought - the door creaked open and Gangle’s mournful face offered Zooble a smile once again. They sat together in the vermillion room, decorated with red silk bows and littered with sketchbook paper and pencils. “Zooble?” she squeaked, anxiety in her voice. “Can I talk to you about something?” Zooble nodded, their eyes suddenly filled with concern. “Yeah? Was it Jax again?” "No, he’s not the problem. I am." she said, big tears surfacing from her voidlike eyes. "I really appreciate it. But you don't need to do this for me. I don't want you to feel bad for me, if you think I'm annoying you can say so and I'll leave you alone."
"What?" Zooble could have laughed at the idea of finding Gangle, practically the only good thing they had in the Circus, annoying. But they could barely put words together, her statement not fully registering. "Why... why would you think... who told you that?"
"Remember the fast food adventure? That's what Jax told me. And Ragatha too... I don't think she would have said it out loud, but she had some of that sauce? I don't know, I guess it made her more honest...." Gangle trailed off. "I just... I don't really know anymore."
"Gangle..." Zooble had so much they wanted to tell her, they wanted to stay with her as she cried, and fall asleep, safe in each others' arms... but everything was coming too fast again and all they could say was, "Why would I think that?"
Gangle blinked, wiping away a tear only for a new one to appear in its place. “W-what?”
“I mean,” Zooble said slowly, searching for the right words, “you’re the only person in this whole damn circus that I care about. I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t here. I-” They were interrupted by the firm grasp of Gangle’s arms around their shoulders. “Thank you.” Gangle whispered. And Zooble wordlessly returned the hug. After they pulled away from each other, they just sat there, leaning against Gangle’s four poster bed. It wasn’t awkward really, they could just stay for as long as they wanted, being in each other’s presence. “I mean,” Zooble mused, “what reason would I have not to be honest with you? If I didn’t want to come over, I wouldn’t have. I do that all the time with Caine anyway…” and they suddenly became aware of what they were saying - oh shit why did I say that she probably doesn’t want to talk about it anymore we were doing fine and of course I had to go ruin it what the fuck is wrong with me -
But then Gangle cracked a smile. And she started to giggle. Which made Zooble smile too, and before they knew it they were both laughing together, gasping for breath, not even knowing why. It had been so long since Zooble had heard that sound out of their own mouth, and when they had both calmed down, they looked lovingly at each other.
Like they were the only people in the world.
im so excited for this and I'm def gonna write a story or 2, possibly post an edit if capcut isn't being a dick

hey there! the abstragedy community has all come together to dedicate a week to our beloved ship. if you’re unaware, it is the ship between zooble x gangle from the amazing digital circus! all participation is accepted, and welcomed!
you can do whatever you please—make physical art, digital art, write a short story, anything along those lines.
only rules are that:
while any character from the amazing digital circus can be in your drawings/writings/etc, main focus should be on the ship!

I really liked how they portrayed gangle in this one, the struggle with trying to please everyone is shown so perfectly in her!

The background designers outdid themselves with this one,
zooble's room looks so cool and fits their vibe so well,
and the restaurant and caine's office look really realistic too!

I tried out a new lineart style and holy... #?!(-)!?# did this take WAY too long to make and I messed up gangle's arm big-time and didn't even notice until it was too late!!! Xd
I also experimented a little with colors and I like it.
Ps: I used NO reference for the hands... As you can rightfully tell by how they look.

This was gonna be my day 4 then changed to day 6 for abstragedy week. Actually the idea came up before the week had started and when it was announced it was the perfect time for me to start. While I ended up running out of time I did not want to give up on this, I COULDN'T
Ok lets me try do my first fan fick ever (my english is shit ok?)
*So the scean is zooble room and as they are trying to tought gangle how to be braver*
*zooble siting on there bed trying not to giggle overly at cute atempts of gangel trying to be tought*
Zooble (holding back giggle): "w-wow... you are... heh.... doing great"
*gangle who is holding her chest up with kinde puffed cheeks (her mask is shows that just thoes cute cheeks), her voic is bit diper and shes trying to sound "mean"*
Gangle: "what? Can't see I am trying to live here?!" (She sound fake annoyed but inside she is dieing out of cringe)
*zooble Can't take it anymore and start giggling and rolling on there bed, gangel face kinde get much more timid and scared od critisizm coz..... preobly autistic artist*
*zooble as they are rolling on there bed still think how cute and funny gangle was doing all "tought girl" persona*
Zooble (as they continue gigglibg and rolling on her bed) : "o-oh my go-o-o-od hahhahahahhahahhah i-it w-was so. Pffff haaaa..... oh my... (the giggles slowly die down and they sit up) o-oh girl.... oh.... that was sup-er adorable"
*both of them realise what just happend.... a complement......... A FRUCKING COMPLEMENT. The gay panick sets in and bouth minds are racing what to do*
*then gange say in bit panicked voice*
Gangle (her ribons sweaty and eyes darting everywhere): " ehhhh.... ehh..... E-e-enjoy your meal"
*The alward silence just grew thicker and buletproof*
Gangle thoughts: "WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUCK DID I JUST SAID?!?!??!"

*I zooble look confused as fuck. Gangle is starting to wamne kill her self out of embarrassment.
Zooble: "what the sigma?"

Gangle: "l-lets meaby take a b-brake, o-o-o-ok?" *she is still kinde panicked and embarrassed*
Zooble: "fine, you wish. Just don't stop being cute"
*zooble kinde stop caring about caling gangle cute, coz she did it so just as weal keep saying what she thinks*
*then zooble lay on gangle bed in this sexy pose every one know, like one hand keeping hand up and one hand is laying in the way its kinde forming an tringulr with other leg laying all the way*
*gangle gets even reder and hereyes go to the ground*

I took inspiration from the end credits of the amazing digital circus. This one was really chill to draw! I’m a bit glad to be done so I have some more time to draw other things and read some more 😎

It peeves me off a bit when people say "Oh I HC that Gangle taught Zooble how to draw"...when realistically Zooble would probably be better than her cause they were a tattoo artist
Like you have to take into account that their art skills had to be good enough that people would pay them to get it permanently on their body😭
This has no underlying meaning, I just really wanted to draw them and thought this was a cool idea
