Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3?

Morning light crept through the circular window that led to your empty balcony. Still struggling to get used to the drastic time difference, you covered your face with the duvet, sinking in the warmth that your bed offered. It wasn't until your alarm went off that you finally pried yourself from the comfortable mattress.

The heat of the morning sunlight kept your joints warm as you began to get ready, undressing from your pyjamas only to pull on some comfier but more respectable clothes. Your outfits usually consisted of some shorts and a baggy t-shirt, but on this day, you settled for some jeans and a sweater. You had recognised easily that Paris would most likely never be as warm as your home country, so the outfit was deemed wearable, while a comfy shirt was still placed inside of your bag as a backup. It rested in the front pocket of your school bag alongside your pain medication, which you were probably due to take soon, and the few other hygiene accessories that you wouldn't dare to leave the house without unless it was a true emergency.

"Hurry up or you will be late!" A stern, yet loving voice called. A smile that was beginning to turn down evident on your face as you finally made your way down the stairs. It took some energy, but you felt good.

Today would be good.

"Sorry, dad." You shrugged slightly, "I'm going to walk to walk to school today. I'll be extra careful, I promise." You smile and take an apple from the bowl resting on the kitchen bench, gently punching the older man's shoulder before walking towards the door, bag on your back. You noticed the way he frowned, going to speak but not saying anything. It wasn't unusual for him to be so quiet; you'd grown accustomed to it after quite some time of living with him. Your father was silenced by his own worry and concern for you. He waved as you stepped out of the front door, yet you never noticed it.

Taking your first steps out of the house, you couldn't help but breathe in the somewhat fresh air that the streets of Paris gifted you with. While it wasn't something you were used to, the scent of a sweet pastry was certainly something you enjoyed. Living close by to a two-story bakery was certainly going to burn a hole in your pocket, but who could deny themself a sweet little treat every once in a while?

Taking enough time to distract yourself with your thoughts, you finally made it to the street across from your school. It wasn't too often anymore where you found yourself not distracted by your own thoughts. Toady was no different than any other, until you heard a small commotion just in front of you. The traffic was bustling along. The sounds of honking and tires screeching pulling your attention to the situation. An old man was struggling to cross the road, overwhelmed by the amount of people honking at him despite how it could be seen as a reasonable reaction to any bystander. Without thinking your legs began to move, pulling you towards the situation with no hesitation. "Sir!" you called out, glancing across the road to make sure no cars were coming in your direction in the moment. When you had a free chance, you bolted towards the older man, placing your hand on his back and quickly pulling him out of the way of any oncoming traffic. Of course, that wasn't the end of it as you crouched down the slightest bit to reach his slouched height. He was shaking, although appreciative as he clasped your cold hands in his warm ones.

"Thank you so much, young one," The man spoke, bowing his head over and over again in gratitude. Gently taking your hands away from his and softly placing them on his shoulders, you shook your head. "No, don't thank me. I was doing what any humane person would, sir." Your words of pure genuine and empathetic smile seemed to strike a chord with the man.

"You are a wonderful being," He hummed, flashing a small smile before simply turning, "I hope one day we will meet again in less dire circumstances." You stood dumbfounded as the man began to walk away. How could he act so calm after seeming so overwhelmed by such a drastic scene. He could have been hit by a car and yet here he was walking away from you, the only thing left in his place being a black box with intricate gold carvings. You leant down and picked up the box, it was small, much like a box holding a piece of jewellery. You figured it might be important to the man, however before you could finally call out to him, he was gone. Once again he had left you staring after him dumbfounded. After examining the box in your hands, you decided to place it within the front pocket of your bag in hopes that you might see the man again just as he said.

With that interaction playing over in the back of your mind, you quickly walked up the steps of the school. Although you transferred to College Françoise Dupont due to the advertised accessibility and financial support that it provided students with disabilities alongside chronic illnesses, you were beginning to notice just how many stairs were truly in this place. You frowned.

No one necessarily paid much attention to you, even as you struggled to climb the multiple levels of stairs within the large foyer. After climbing up the front steps, you groaned at the thought of climbing up the second set of large stairs that led to the upper level of the school. While it wasn't as long, it was steep, and after your almost run in with oncoming traffic, you were already feeling rather exhausted. You figured it was just a horrid perk of your own chronic illness.

At the age of thirteen you faced symptoms of constant exhaustion, shakiness and burning pain within your joints. After an incident when moving houses, the pain began to focus more within your knees and lower back, a mishap from carrying a box that was too heavy for your young stature. There was no true name for what occurred to you, doctors were confused or chose not to believe you and many close people began to pity you. At first you enjoyed the attention, but now you were happy to simply be left alone.

Now at the ripe age of seventeen you could hardly pull yourself from bed without dousing yourself in icy-hot and Panadol. You always managed, trying your best to come across as a normal teenager, no matter how sore or exhausted you truly were. You began to think of it as your own little secret, wanting to hide it from your new classmates to lessen the pity you faced.

When you finally reached the top of the stairs, you sighed in relief. Both glad that it was finally over, and happy that you remembered your knee brace you closed your eyes momentarily, not expecting a certain bluenette to run straight into you on her way to class.

You landed on your butt, wincing quietly at the harsh landing. You peeled your eyes opened to see a girl who looked around your age, frantic as she crouched next to you.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so so so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going and—" her words were rushed and the flush on her face made you feel almost sorry for the girl. Gently pushing her outstretched palm away, you shook your head. "Don't sweat it. You're good." You smiled sweetly, taking a moment to collect your bag before getting back up on your feet.

The poor girl looked guilty, taking in your appearance to make sure she hadn't caused too much damage, which it was lucky that she didn't. You cringed slightly as you leaned on your left leg, swapping weight between your legs every so often to balance out the sharp sting in them. She seemed to notice, but didn't mention it.

"You're new here, right? I don't think I've ever seen you before. Do you have your timetable?" She asked, her eyes widening momentarily behind her blue bangs. "I completely forgot to introduce myself— I'm Marinette, what's your name?" Marinette asked, sheepishly pulling her hand back and rubbing her arm when she realized you weren't going to shake her hand.

You laughed and mentioned your name with that gentle smile of yours. Pulling out your phone, you logged into your electronic timetable. "I'm in P7?" You spoke, "Do you think you could show me around a bit?"

You swore her smile grew twice it's size as she linked her arm with yours. "That's my class actually! I'll take you there, I'm sure Alya wouldn't mind swapping seats if you'd like to sit next to me?" Her offer was sweet, but you already had an assigned seat. It was simply due to the amount of distinguishable akuma attacks. It was hard for you to run, so the teachers and your parents deemed it safer for you to sit in the front left of the classroom in case there was ever a need to escape.

"No, it's okay. I already know my seat." You smiled, using your linked arms as a way to steady yourself as you both walked towards your classroom. Unlike your hometown, they shared the same classroom for each of their respective classes, with the teachers moving to them instead of the students. It made things much easier for you and was also one of the high selling points for your enrolment.

You swore you saw Marinette's smile grow dim at your words before lighting back up as if nothing happened. She shrugged it off and led you to the classroom, often smiling at any friends she passed. It was clear to you that she was an outgoing and kid young woman, one that you would be grateful to call your friend if you could get to that point, but for now she would be your acquaintance and school guide.

You spoke the whole time you walked to class, learning that Marinette's parents were the owners of that bakery you could smell on the way to school and that she was an aspiring fashion designer. You also learnt that if her head wasn't stuck to her shoulders, she would have easily lost it by now.

"So, what about you? What's so good about Paris that you moved here?" The girl asked, her blue bell eyes looking at you with a curious spark. You simply shrugged in response and flashed a nonchalant smile. "My parents have better jobs here than in our home country, and this school gives me better opportunities." You explained, although it wasn't entirely true it was still close enough to the truth that you didn't feel bad about your little white lies.

Marinette nodded at your words and opened the door for you. The class was practically full already. It surprise you how many teenagers were actually eager to come to school. It certainly wasn't like this at home.

The teacher, who you'd met with much earlier when you were discussing going to the school with your parents, offered a sweet smile and gestured to your designated seat. You regretted walking in, multiple eyes staring you down. You were fresh meat after all.

Exhaling, you walked to your seat at the front, a blonde boy with emerald eyes sat just next to you. He seemed somewhat disappointed to see you, as if someone else had previously sat here. He shook his head and flashed a friendly smile.

"Hi."

You registered the word rather slowly, a little distracted by those mysterious eyes. He was hiding something. You didn't bother questioning and returned the smile. "Hi."

His cheeks flushed but he said nothing more as the lesson began, turning his attention to your history and English teacher. Your brows furrowed but you couldn't help the silly smile that forced it's way upon your face. Something about that boy made you feel warm, although you suspected that it was just the friendly introduction that caused it.

~~~
The end of the day came by faster than expected. You'd exchanged numbers with Marinette and her best friend Alya, you had also learnt that the boy sitting next to you was Adrien. It wasn't hard for you to decipher that Marinette had a rather hefty crush on the blonde boy, but you paid no mind to it. It wasn't like you to crush on anyone anyway, so there was nothing to truly worry about.
You walked down the front steps of the school with them, waving goodbye and smiling. "Call us later!" Marinette called out as she waved goodbye, almost running into a poll as she walked backwards. Embarrassed, she quickly turned around, head in her palms as Alya poked fun at her.
"Will do." You spoke, knowing neither would hear you as you laughed quietly to yourself. What an odd pair. You found them endearing, no matter how silly they were.
A soft voice called your name, causing your brows to furrow deeply. "Hi—" you turned around to see the blonde boy speaking to you, "Do you need a ride home?" He asked with a kind smile.
Your eyes widened momentarily and a smile graced your face. "Hi. That would be nice. Are you sure? I've heard your quiet the busy guy." You teased, winking at him playfully. He looked shocked before letting out a small laugh.
Adrien was still getting used to the idea of friends, considering his father was a control freak over where and who he hung out with. "Ha, ha. Very funny." He playfully rolled his eyes, "I'm sure I could clear my schedule for the next ten minutes. Come on." He gestured for you to follow him towards the black limousine that had pulled up at the front of the school.
You couldn't deny such an offer, following along behind him. He opened the door for you, flashing a charming grin that made your heart lurch into your throat. It was your turn to roll your eyes as you stepped into the vehicle, thanking the driver and his bodyguard for taking you home. They didn't speak, but you hoped your gratitude came through to them.
The drive was silent other than Adrien exchanging numbers with you, sheepishly claiming it was in case you ever needed a ride home again. You suspected it was something else, but you never pushed for an answer, politely smiling and putting his name in your phone as 'Adrien 💚'.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Adrien." You smiled as you stepped out of the car, reaching for your bag that was on the floor. He nodded in response and waved, "See you tomorrow."
Adrien sunk into his seat after you left, looking down at his phone with a small smile. Something about you just drew him in, he wasn't sure what it was, but it felt important.
~~~

When the boy arrived at his house, his father nowhere to be seen, he decided to go straight to his room. Although he quite literally lived in a lavish mansion, there wasn't actually much for Adrien to do. So, he pulled his bag off of his shoulders and placed it next to the bed, paying no attention to the feline kwami who was ever so desperately trying to search for cheese in his shallow pocket. Finally falling back into his pocket, once again ignoring the cry of anguish that his kwami let out, Adrien sighed.

"Plagg..." He started, "Nevermind."

Plagg looked confused before simply flying off in search of more cheese.

Adrien reached for his phone within his pocket, unlocking it with the simple press of his thumb and smiling as it opened to the contacts page. Your name stood at the very top under favourites. While your name was plain on his screen, the picture was one that he'd captured of you staring out the window, simple and perfect.

Plagg flew over once again. "Woah, I thought you were in love with Ladybug!" He exclaimed, staring into the blonde's phone to see your picture. Adrien locked his phone almost immediately, his eyes widened. "I am!" He stammered momentarily, "They're just a friend." He hummed, placing his phone screen down on the blanket.

This is my favorite story... :-\\:-]:-I:-||:-|

Even Later

Even Later

To say that Chloé Bourgeois was pissed would be a massive understatement. Quite honestly, there are no words to describe how utterly ridiculous this all is.

And to think, everything was perfect a week ago! She had the world at her beck and call (no she didn’t), she was a perfect superhero (no she wasn’t), and Adrien adored her! (No, he truly didn’t.)

But then her lousy, incompetent sidekicks betrayed her! They tossed her to the curb the one time she faltered- and she only faltered because they chose not to do their jobs! Scarlet Lady was left to face that nasty Akuma all by herself, and what did Chat Noir and Marigold do?

“Go off, Scarlet Lass!” Marigold cheered, voice as high-pitched and annoying as usual. “Show her what’s for!”

They cheered on the Akuma. They laughed at her, laughed at all of her hard work and all that she had done for them! What did they know about being the leader of the team? They were just stupid little sidekicks, they couldn’t win without her! They needed Scarlet Lady!

(As it turns out, they didn’t.)

The next day, Chloé showed up to school bitter and cranky, both from a lack of sleep (the de-Akumatized ex-fangirl had yelled in her face for an hour before walking away, finally satisfied) and a lack of Miraculous. She stormed into the class, ready to complain her frustrations away to Sabrina.

She wasn’t prepared to find her class yelling excitedly, already talking about Ladybug.

And really? Ladybug? Of all things, that’s what Marigold came up with? Wow, great, superb! A thief stole her Miraculous and didn’t even use a good name. How embarrassing.

Chloé glared at the room as she walked to her seat, and her anger only grew as Alya smirked at her.

“Hey, Chloé!” Alya said, voice taunting. “Did you hear the news? Your ever beloved Scarlet Lady has been replaced!”

“You’re one to talk,” Chloé snapped back. “After all, you run Scarlet Lady’s blog-”

“You mean the Ladyblog,” Alya interrupted, brandishing her phone. “Times are changing, Chloé, and so is my blog! Now I get to focus on a real hero!”

“And Chat Noir!” Marinette piped up, all too happy to speak her mind. “Alya’s got the blog split so that there’s an equal split between the Parisian duo!”

“The real Parisian duo,” Adrien added, leaning into Marinette, which, what?! When did Adrien start getting cuddly with that, that baker’s daughter of a fashion disaster?

Chloé scowled, looking away. “As if! I doubt that new girl can take over the mantle that Scarlet Lady created! No one could be that good!”

The only response she got was laughter. Alix was the one to respond.

“Please. Ladybug is Marigold. She announced the change in position last night to Alya herself! Apparently Scarlet Lady’s identity got revealed to Hawkmoth, which, wow. You had one job, but whatever. So Chat Noir and Marigold decided that a new Ladybug had to be chosen- which, thank God- so Chat Noir gave the Miraculous to Marigold.” She shrugs. “And I don’t know what cloud you shoved your head in, but Marigold has done wayyy more than Scarlet Lady ever did.”

“She does seem to be much better at being a true hero,” Max added in, and Chloé growled.

“Please! You guys are just jealous that Scarlet Lady is so much cooler than any of you!”

“Scarlet Lady has never helped any of us,” Nino stated. “It was always Chat Noir or Marigold. I, for one, think Marigold should have been Ladybug from the start. Probably would’ve been better in the long run.” The class agreed easily, as if they were right.

“I-” The bell rang, cutting Chloé off. Huffing, the girl stormed over to her spot. “Whatever! This is just ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!”

And it got worse. Chloé couldn’t believe it! Not only was her stupid little class infatuated with Ladybug, but so was all of Paris! They followed every little thing that dumb sidekick did, praising her for whatever she did!

“Akuma battles are quicker than ever before!”

“And look at that teamwork! The two work together so flawlessly, it’s impeccable!”

“Ladybug is such a natural leader! She’s got an eye for solutions, really!”

“And Chat Noir has somehow become even greater!”

Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!

And then, get this, the two were spotted kissing. Chloé wanted to gag as the reporters had an absolute field day, raving over the new ‘power couple’.

‘Those two sidekicks deserve each other. They’re not good enough for anyone else,’ Chloé told herself, shutting off her television for the night.

The day after ‘LadyNoir’ started trending was even worse, somehow. Chloé got to school, doing her best to ignore the stupidity of her peers, when a comment threw her off of her game.

“Ladybug and Chat Noir are so cute together!” Alya raved. “I just feel bad for you, Marinette.”

“Oh?” Marinette asked, ever so stupidly. “W-why do you feel bad?” Ugh, that stupid stutter.

“Well, with Chat Noir swept up in Ladybug’s arms, you don’t get a chance with him. I’m sorry, girlie.” Alya seemed upset, which, ew? Marinette would never be good enough for a sidekick, as if she’d have a chance with someone better than an absolute fool with no money to his name.

‘Maybe she should date Nathaniel. Little artist freaks could be happy together and stay quiet,’ Chloé thought with a smirk.

That smirk quickly fell, however, when Adrien turned around and asked, “Well, Marinette, if you can’t pursue Chat Noir anymore…would it be alright if I pursue you?”

What. The. Fuck.

The room was silent as Marinette giggled. “I thought you’d never ask! There’s a new movie coming out on Friday, want to see it together?”

Adrien nodded like some lovesick puppy, and Chloé-

Chloé was done. Absolutely done.

Storming out of the room, she missed the knowing glance that passed between the new couple.

Slamming open the bathroom door, Chloé glares at the group of girls who gossip with one another, giggling as they apply their stupid makeup to their stupid faces. They see her and panic, darting out immediately. A smart decision, because Chloé Bourgeois is not in the mood to deal with some lowly people.

She stalks around the bathroom like a caged animal, glaring at the walls, the floor, the stalls, the door. Everything pisses her off, from the bright lighting to the dirty mirrors that reflect her glares and curled frown, the shows off her bare ears, lacking any accessories.

She looks away from the mirrors, missing the sight of the purple butterfly that phases through the wall, merging into her purse and allowing the outline of a mask to line her face.

“Scarlet Lady,” Hawkmoth cooes, voice serene and calm. “Your lousy sidekicks have thrown you to the side, betraying you for the sake of fame. Their act of treachery is befitting of a villain, undoubtedly worse, and I am aghast to see such wrongdoings being done by the ‘heroes’. I refuse to fight against such impure people, and as such I will give you the power to overthrow the new Ladybug, so that I may have a proper enemy once more. All that I ask for is Chat Noir’s Miraculous, as he is also unworthy of wielding such power, and in return I will give you the power to defeat Ladybug. Antibug, will you answer this call?”

Chloé smirks, satisfaction overcoming her. “It would be my pleasure, Hawkmoth.”

And then she’s covered in purple.

—–

Marinette always thought she’d be a normal girl with a normal life. She had dreams of becoming a designer, sure, but even those dreams were rather modest. She wanted to make a difference, sure, but she never thought that she would become somebody.

So imagine her surprise when she ended up becoming a hero of Paris not just once, but twice. First as Marigold, the Bee who rose up to fight beside Chat Noir when his own partner was lacking in, well, everything. Then to become Ladybug, the one who can reverse any damage done by Akumas and to act as Chat Noir’s other half.

It was unexpected, to say the least, but that’s not to say it is unwanted. No, Marinette loves her life. She loves being able to help people, being able to make a difference in the world. She loves patrolling with Chat Noir at night, hours of laughing and joking as they leap across the horizon. She loves the friends she’s made since this whole villainous mess started. And, of course, she loves her new boyfriend, both in and out of the mask, Adrien “Chat Noir” Agreste.

Overall, Marinette is happy. She’s really, truly happy.

So, as the universe goes, Chloé Bourgeois tries to ruin her day. Because that is simply how the world works.

A crash is heard outside of the window, and class is quickly disrupted as her peers race over to look for the source.

“An Akuma!” Kim shouts, ever so helpful. Marinette and Adrien peer out, eyes quickly trained on the rampant Akuma.

Marinette rolls her eyes when she sees the villain du jour. The blonde girl wears a black suit with red polka dots, a matching yoyo currently being swung about, hitting whatever she can. From the obvious reference to Ladybug to the ever present pout, it’s obvious.

“Chloé,” Marinette and Adrien mutter in unison, and then they sneak off to transform.

As soon as they’re suited up, the duo slips outside, speaking quietly to each other.

“Think it’s because of your popularity, or because we’re dating?” Chat asks, smile light and joking.

“Maybe both. Who knows, maybe she’s been playing hard to get this whole time, chaton.” Ladybug winks, giggling as the blond curls his nose in disgust.

“Mon Dieu, don’t even say that. We both know that she was just obsessed with the model boy.”

“Poor boy. I hear he’s got a girlfriend, though, so maybe that caused her to snap?”

“Could be. Oh well. If she’s anything like she was as Scarlet, she’ll be an easy fight.” And with that, they come face to face with the Akuma.

“Ladybug,” she sneers. “I am Antibug, and I’ve come to reclaim my Miraculous!” She shouts out the words, and Ladybug is very aware of Alya as she leans out of the window, phone catching every word.

“Definitely can’t get it back now,” Ladybug whispers, and Chat Noir snorts. Louder, Ladybug says. “The Miraculous is not yours, nor should it have ever been. I have been informed that you stole it from its rightful user, and they have granted it to me instead.” When Tikki told Marinette that she was chosen, not Chloé, the girl had been pissed.

“Please! As if that stupid Dupain-Cheng deserved it!” Antibug states, just as loudly, and now Ladybug is glad that she came up with her small lie. Otherwise, her identity would be broadcast to all of Paris, if not the whole world, by now. As it is, Ladybug can hear the whispers of her shocked classmates, surprised to hear that their friend was originally chosen to be their beloved heroine.

Shaking her head, Ladybug forces herself to ignore her peers. She has more pressing matters to attend to.

Like the fact that, for an incompetent hero, Antibug is a surprisingly good villain. She plays dirty, using her yoyo to trip up Chat Noir and Ladybug, throwing random objects for them to dodge or deflect, and calling multiple Unlucky Charms in an attempt to throw them off.

“Of course she’s a better villain than a hero,” Chat Noir complains as he leaps over a car, the fight by now taking place in the abandoned street in front of Dupont. “It only makes sense, considering villains are motivated by selfishness, while a hero has to be selfless.”

“You’re one to talk about selfishness!” Antibug taunts before throwing a car at him. Ladybug catches him with her yoyo, pulling him out of reach. “You betrayed me so you could give your little girlfriend my Miraculous.”

“Your identity was revealed, and you were a lousy hero! As if we’d give you the Miraculous that was never supposed to be yours in the first place!” Chat screams back, venting out some of his anger. Ladybug takes the chance to snag Antibug’s yoyo with her own, pulling away the weapon.

“Chat!” She cries, tossing him the weapon. Without even summoning his power, the blond crushes it in his grip, letting out a small purple butterfly.

“No more evildoing for you, little Akuma!” Ladybug says, catching the Akuma in her yoyo. Quickly, she casts her Miraculous cure, letting a shower of ladybugs fill the air as all of the damage disappears.

All that is left is one pissed off Chloé Bourgeois, and Alya recording behind a car.

Ladybug sighs, stepping forwards. Now is the time where she and Chat Noir usually comfort the deakumatized victim, helping them to find a solution. And, as a hero, she and Chat should look past their feelings, right?

Nope. Ladybug quickly decides otherwise when the blonde lets out a yell, lunging at her and reaching for her earrings. Without hesitation, Ladybug restrains the girl with her yoyo, pinning her arms to her side.

“Chloé Bourgeois,” she speaks, voice cold and harsh. “As Scarlet Lady, you put Paris in danger for far too long in order to satiate your ego. You left your partner to do all of the work, letting him run himself ragged to save the city, putting twice the work on him. You never changed, allowing yourself to become even more vain and self-centered with every passing day. You were anything but a hero from the very start, having stolen the Miraculous from a girl who had the potential to save this city from the start. Instead, that girl will never have the chance to help as much as she wants, because you have broadcasted her identity without a second thought. And even though she chose me to take her place, you still try to defy her wishes, going so far as to try stealing the Miraculous from me. You are not Akumatized, either, so you have no excuses. You are a menace to society and a danger to Paris, and you will never and have never been a hero. Good bye.”

Exhaling, Ladybug retracts her yoyo and leaps out of view, Chat Noir following her. They detransform together, exhausted.

“You went off on her,” Adrien says, a small grin appearing on his face. “Mon Dieu, princess, it’s like you said everything I ever wanted to.”

“Thanks, chaton,” Marinette replies, leaning against him as they walk out of the alley. “Do you think I went too far?”

“I think you said exactly what you should have. She’s gone far too long unchecked, it was about time someone told her what’s for.”

The words relieve her of her doubt, and give her the strength to walk back into their classroom.

Chloé isn’t there, but the class speaks of her nonetheless.

“I can’t believe she was Scarlet Lady!” Alya cries out, then pauses. “Actually, no, I can. Dang. And I ran a whole blog about her. Ew.”

“It explains why she was so awful,” Kim says bluntly.

“And why she always ditched me…more so than usual, at least,” Sabrina whispers, saddened by this revelation.

“And she stole the Miraculous, too!” Rose cries. “How awful!”

Alya’s head snaps up, looking to Marinette, who still stands beside Adrien in the front of the class. “From you, right? Ladybug said it was stolen, and Chloé said it was yours!”

“You were supposed to be Ladybug!” Alix shouts, slamming her fist on her desk. “Damn, that would’ve been so cool!”

“Heheh, yeah…but when Marigold told me what had happened, I knew that I couldn’t take the title,” Marinette says, trying to look bashful.

“Why not?” Max asks. “If it was yours originally, why couldn’t you use it?”

“Because Chloé knew. And I was afraid that she would broadcast my identity in order to get ‘revenge’…and it looks like I was right to assume that.”

Alya frowns. “That’s terrible, girlie. You could’ve been a hero by Chat Noir’s side the whole time.”

Marinette shrugs, leaning into Adrien’s side even more. “Yeah, but I can’t let that stop me. I’ll still help when I can, but Marigold…I knew I could trust her to be a hero. So she became Ladybug.”

“Yeah, Mari here doesn’t need a Miraculous to be a hero,” Adrien pipes up, smiling widely. “Remember how she always threw herself into fights? She was always helping out with battles.” He laughs. “She only stopped because Chat Noir practically begged her to stay out of the way. He was worried that she’d get hurt.”

The class cooes over the statement, agreeing easily, until class starts back up at last. Marinette takes her seat once more, ready to continue the day.

“Just so you know,” Alya whispers, “I think you would be an amazing hero.”

Marinette simply smiles, and she knows that Alya is right.

Marinette thought she’d be a normal girl, but she’s so much more.

And now it’s Ladybug’s time to shine.

Author’s Note: At long last, I finally made a sequel to Later, which I wrote back in October. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoy zoe’s amazing comic! ~Salthaven

@juxsweet I Was Your Secret Santa! Thank You So Much For Wanting To See Some Fluffy Adrinette. I Had

@juxsweet I was your secret santa! Thank you so much for wanting to see some fluffy Adrinette. I had so much fun drawing this sweet moment ❤︎ In my mind Adrien fell asleep while Mari and him were watching TV. They aren't together yet so seeing Adrien let go of his perfect self tears at Mari's heartstrings. She can't help but continue to talk to him as he is loosing the battle with consciousness, mumbling answers, until his breathing evens out. For a breathless minute Mari is just in awe and the words she's been longing to say are stuck in her throat until she whispers them into existence.

Happy Pride Month Everyone ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Happy Pride Month everyone ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Marin Dupain Cheng is nonbinary in my head canon. It's my first time drawing them and they are so pretty T^T!! I'm so in love with them being taller then Adrien and Adrien not knowing how to deal with that. Also please someone correct me if I got their name wrong. Marin was what it said online

Also Adrien grabbed Mari's hand because he wants to keep her safe, while she's thinking, 'Why is this guy touching me !?!?!'

 I Was In A Storyboarding Mood When I Drew This Panel. Mari Is Standing Behind Adrien And He Going To

I was in a storyboarding mood when I drew this panel. Mari is standing behind Adrien and he going to have to mitigate how to react when he turns around lol.... Adriens thoughts would probably be going crazy like: 'Did I hear her right? What emotion is my face showing right now!!!?!? WTF DO I DO?!?!' "Me...Chat Noir.....<gulp>...what...what made you think that...hahaha?!?"

How would you guys want the reveal to go down? ♥

Also Adrien has yet to learn that Lucky Charm gives out convoluted gifts due to Marinettes incredibly creative brain chemistry xD

More parts of this storyline will follow (˶ᵔᵕᵔ˶)♡

ladyblorg - Ladyblorg

Adrien being sad literally breaks my heart. That poor boy has gone through so much heartache without support, I honestly just can't.... o(╥‸╥)o Incidentally, if any of you like reading fan-fiction, @fettucinne wrote a fan-fiction that had my crying for hours. The fic is called Come What May AU ♥♥♥

Guuuys! Last Night I Was Thinking About Mr Bug And Lady Noir In The Specialverse!!! I Don't Know What

Guuuys! Last night I was thinking about Mr Bug and Lady Noir in the Specialverse!!! I don't know what they would be called, but what about;

Dark Paw & Gloom Bug

Gloom Bug's hair was inspired by "DNAngel's character Dark". I think Adrien would love this manga and would have been super upset that it never had an ending. So Gloom Bug is his version of bringing Dark to life ⸜(。˃ ᗜ ˂ )⸝ ♥ The incredible @noehaddock came up with the name Dark Paw and we brainstormed Gloom Bug together. Please send her lots of love because she's amazing!! ♥♥♥

I can't wait to see your versions of what you think they would be called and what they would look like!

I’m dead. Why, why would you do this.

A/N For my darling @gigiree because she likes to make people cry.

Adrien Agreste doesn’t really know love. Doesn’t really understand that love is more than a fluttering heart or need to be by the other’s side at every minute of every day. So understandably, Ladybug isn’t too convinced when he declares undying love.
