Marvel Prompt!

Prompt: "I just got you back, I'm not letting go.*

MCU/AA/EMH

Three sets of brothers are pulled into a maze like palace, the inhabitants seeking to devour them for their power.

The gods of thunder are fused together, as are the gods of chaos. They must find a way out of there. They end up being separated, both of them learning about the place and its dangers in the process. The Loki's learn that there is a choice system that effects their fate and are given a choice:

'You live and escape. Your sibling dies permanently.'

Or

'Your sibling lives and escapes. You die permanently.'

The Loki's chosen answer is to let Thor live.

All Thor's reject this choice and break the system and the realm, unfusing and dragging their brother back to their own world- barely escaping death.

Thor is pissed at Loki's choice, lecturing him before screaming: 'I just got you back, Loki! I wasn't going to leave without you, not again. I am not letting you leave me again, damnit. Not again...'

Thor then holds his brother tightly.

Marvel Prompt 🌹🥀

(Loki had done it. He had the power now, the throne, Odin was sleeping. He should feel safe now. Why didn't he feel safe?)

Thor: *Pleading* Loki, please, end this madness!

Loki: *Angry* You don't get it! Everything we have been told our whole lives, anything the had to do with me, was a damn lie! I was meant to die as a child, a runt no one wanted. Odin killed my real father, he took me in, and instead of just telling us. Instead of just explaining things, treating us equally, he did none of those things. This isn't madness, Thor. This. Is. Reparations!

(Loki was so furious by the end of his rant. Thor looking on in sorrow, wanting to do something to comfort his sibling, but unable to do to being chained up. Loki was shaking at this point. But it wasn't from anger. He didn't feel safe, not once did he feel safe since he got the Odin power. He didn't understand.)

(Thor knew something was wrong with Loki. This wasn't any evil plot by him, this was deliberately planned for a different reason. It becomes clear after Loki's outburst. Thor finally understands that his sibling didn't feel safe. Loki had to be feeling so much pain, believing he's an outsider and without any identity. Thor didn't know how to fix this, to reach his brother, and comfort him.)

Thor: *Softly* Loki... Do you not know who you are?

(Loki flinches)

Loki: *Snaps* Of course I do! What kind of question is that!?

(Loki held himself proudly, standing tall and menacingly. Thor knew better.)

Thor: We grew up together, and while we were lied too, I know who you really are Loki.

Loki: *confused and irritated* Oh? Then who am I ment to be, Odinson?

(Loki stalked closer. Emotions were swirling inside him, becoming so unstable at this point. He was beginning to be unable to hide any of them.)

Thor: *Absolutely Genuine* Loki, you are in fact my brother. A prince like I. No matter the lie told to us, that is the real truth. I know I haven't been the perfect brother... But believe my words when I say you are my family. I choose you, Loki, to be my brother. Your blood matters not.

(Loki is frozen in place. He can't say Thor is lying, can't deny that this isn't anything but the truth. He feels so many conflicting emotions that it plays on his face: Confused, angry, sad, happy, relieved, agitated, scared.

Not knowing what to do with the truth dropped on him, Loki backs away from Thor. He's shrinking in on himself. He didn't feel safe before, now he doesn't know if he is safe. Thor calls out for him, begging him again to end this plan. Loki falls to his knees. He doesn't know what to do.)

Thor: *Concerned* Loki!

Loki: I-

(Loki looks up.)

Loki: *Scared* B-brother?

Thor: Loki, I'm here! You're safe with me I promise! Please, Loki!

(Loki, feeling so small and scared at this point- having regressed to a more fragile state-, practically pounces into Thor's arms. Magic-ing away the chains unconsciously. Thor wrapped his arms around his sibling, whispering words of comfort.)

Thor: *Quietly* It's okay brother, I'm here. You're safe now. I promise I won't leave you again.

Loki: *shaking* Thor... I- I'm sorry.

Thor: It is alright, Loki. I already forgiven you. I will always forgive you. I'm just happy you are with me again.

(Thor tightens the hug. As they wait for the avengers to arrive, Thor thanks the norns that his sibling is back by his side. He wasn't ever going to leave his sibling again.)

Fanfiction writer, you may do with this as you please, just send me the link so I may read it!

Team Captain v.s. Team Ironman

I've been wanting to write this for a little while, but I wanted to do some rewatching and research on the topic again.

This is my view on the topic of who was right, and who was wrong.

My answer? They were both right.

Let me explain:

Tony, after all the damage done that leads to this conflict, wants and does sign the accords. He wants the Avengers to be held accountable for the damages they cause and to have some restrictions so supers can't do anything they want willy nilly. He has the point here. People need rules and structure to avoid anarchy and chaos, to avoid things just ending up a mess.

Steve didn't want to sign the accords because his point was that the avengers couldn't be held down waiting for the green light, not when lives were at stake. His argument is made further when you take in the question of: 'who could actually hold this power?' Hydra invaded SHEILD, the government isn't safe either, and lord knows how corrupt politics are anyway. Hell, after Thanos snapped the government had to go make a consensus. Nobody could hold the avengers when lives were on the line.

Steve and Tony are both right. But they end up also being wrong too.

Tony is blinded by his overwhelming guilt at this point. After all he lost, the new trauma, and dealing with everything, Tony is hyper focused on redemption here. He wants to make up for the things he did, for the people lost in the cross fire. But he ends up not seeing the issues presented to him about signing the accords.

Signing the accords is a problem because, like I talked about with Steve's point, no one can simply have a leash on the heros. If they have to wait then people die, if they are leashed then Hydra would have been pulling the strings. Hydra invaded SHEILD and the government, if they pulled the strings then it's over. Not to mention that the person pushing the accords is General Ross, the man who hunted down Bruce to use him- to make the super soldier serum. General Ross is not an ally, he is a threat.

Steve was also wrong too. Avengers can't have full freedom to do whatever they please. Having powers being used recklessly and causing unnecessary damages to surroundings isn't a good thing. It's a risk to the people he wants to protect.

So Both are right and wrong. Mainly cause this conflict is complex, when you see the risks and factors of why things couldn't work one way or the other. But also remember, this is a conflict created by design too. Zemo had a part to play in this issue. Playing the game just right that would cause the leaders of the avengers to reach a boiling point on the argument that they split.

What I personally feel is that because of the trauma, pain, and exhaustion the two of them were dealing with when the accords were just presented that they were even in a good healthy mindset to even begin dealing with any of it. Both were stressed, dealing with issues on all sides, and couldn't see past the black and white view of absolutes. Steve and Tony were stuck on a chest board as pawns and both were fighting to win. Only we know how this ends up going.

I am Team Captain America AND Team Iron Man.

Cause in the end they are still a team, and I don't pick sides of my team- I choose all of them.

Bonus~

As an added part to this post I wanted to share my thoughts on Steve lying to Tony about his parents. It was wrong and unjustified, yes but I'm not talking about that. That is a simple fact. I want to explain my view on Steve's reasoning for this decision: He wanted to protect both friends of his. He wanted to protect Bucky cause he was brainwashed and innocent, he didn't want him hurt or kill for it. He wanted to protect Tony cause already he was traumatized, beaten, and utterly exhausted from so much happening. He didn't want Tony to have another thing on his mind that could potentially cause him to snap a part.

In the end it didn't matter, Tony finds out and everything falls from there. Steve here, from my pov, is the people who have the purest intentions and want the best for us, but end up making decisions that only harm us in the end unintentionally. When we make choice that we think help, but don't.

In conclusion: Do I think one or the other is wrong? No, both are right and wrong for their own reasons- making the answer a more complicated discussion.

Do I think Steve or Tony deserves the bashing they get from either side of the conflict? No. They are fundamentally human characters who wanted to do the right thing but were blinded by their own issues and too twisted and turned to properly communicate things.

Should either one be hated for these choices they made? No. They made the choice they did but in the end worked to fix what had been ripped apart, doing their best to mend that scar. They were adults about it and made up while finally having a more healthier mental state to deal with everything.

Are both still my favorite characters and ship? Fuck yes.

Hello everyone!

This post is gonna be different from the usual marvel prompts, and questions, I post. This time I want to give my perspective and opinion on my favorite character, Loki. He is a fascinating character, full of complexities and fundamentally 'human' in a way.

I wanted to share my thoughts, feelings, and ideas here to basically have a place to discuss different characters and how they are meaningful to us.

Without further ado...

Loki

Loki is a character that gives off so many emotions when you first see him, and varies on when you see him and what media: evil and vengeful in EMH, Cocky yet willing to change in AA, Calculating and then sporadic in the MCU. Comic Loki? A whole lot of character development that I don't even know where to start.

Admittedly I have had the chance to read much of the comics sides a few, and haven't watch all of AA or EMH, but I did research for this. Also I just watched a lot of stuff on YouTube of Loki from all sides.

Now when it comes to his character, you can't exactly put down a few words to describe him. Loki is a character that feels like a person, complex and confusing. Trying to simplify Loki is unintentionally blocking out the other aspects of him.

Loki is a character that has been abused and abandoned from basically the beginning of his life. Left to die by his biological father, taken in by a new family and then raised to hate his kind essentially, then told later that he was going to be a bargaining chip, fighting his brother as a form of lashing out, being done enough with all of it to try and end his life, to being found and potentially tortured by Thanos.

That alone comes from the MCU, but a majority of that still happens in the other timelines. It's explained through hints and out right underlined that Loki was neglected emotionally and physically by his father, put into Thor's shadow, and put down for being different in the ways of Asgard- using magic rather than tactical fighting.

Loki grows envious and resentful because of this. It makes things worse when it becomes clear that Loki was also put through a lot of pain. Like having his mouth sewn shut and a mythical snake dripping venom on to you. What Thanos probably did...

To me, Loki is a traumatized person. From day one he was abandoned and left to die, only to be taken in and strip of any agency on who he would be. Everyone, including Thor, either pushed the villainous label onto Loki or harassed him for not being a true warrior.

Loki has been shoved in the back, pushed away, and told he isn't as great or ever will be as Thor. Leaving him probably lonely, hurt, angry, and envious: 'What does Thor have, that I don't?'

Loki's complexities come in when you further understand that he does want to be the hero, he wants to do good- he just doesn't understand how. He is constantly tempted by mischief that it poses an obstacle to Loki making the decision to pick an outcome. This is added on to the fact that eventually he gives up and choice at all, taking up the villain roll as the only choice he perceived he had left.

When you're constantly told something, eventually you'll think it's true. Loki gives up and lets the pain swallow him into a world of consistent anger and envy.

So what do I feel about Loki? He is a person repeatedly hurt by others, left behind, and is indifferent to or active to end his life.

But he does get a chance to change. Slowly as he starts to heal he becomes more open, playful, caring. He even finds himself having a better relationship with Thor, having his family back. He even befriends and joins the avengers. In one comic he surprised Clint be being his valentine.

I love Loki, as a character and his story. No matter what media you choose, Loki's story has the power to move you. He is the most human character I've seen that rivals Tony.

Loki helps me too, by being a character who I can relate to with painful memories of my own. Feelings of abandonment and envy of others, not understanding why I was treated differently compared to others.

I don't feel comfortable sharing much of my past here, but just Know that my experiences aren't that intense as Loki's.

To conclude this post: Loki is fascinating in the fact that he contains the element of being a human character (despite being alien), being shown in the story his anger, pain, despair, the fear he can feel, his loneliness. We can feel the change within Loki overtime as well: feeling how happy he is, how much safer he feels, and how much vulnerability he is able to allow himself now.

Loki is my all time favorite mischief maker, god of chaos, and just my favorite character I love to watch create a hilarious mess.

😎Marvel Prompt Time!!! 😎

Loki is a character that is complex in the fact that he is conflicted internally, as he wants to do the right thing but doesn't knows how and that it wouldn't matter in the end.

From his home life being disfuctional, neglected and essentially being raised with the intent to be a bargaining chip, to being treated as the villain consistently despite countless effort to show he can be a hero, Loki is just handed out the worst cards over and over. It makes sense he acts the way he does.

If the myths have any truth, Loki also suffered abuse in many forms besides the emotional neglect he endured. Possibly his mouth being sewn shut the biggest one.

It makes sense then that he would be in a constant state of hypervigilance and pushing back against anyone: especially Thor.

But the chronic stress and torture on his mind from the constant cycle takes a toll.

So my prompt to the fanfic writers:

Loki has reach his breaking point. The const stress, hypervigilance, the paranoia that anyone and everyone is against him, and the negative world views, causes his internal narrative to collapse. He can't hide his feelings anymore, screaming into an empty meadow on an empty planet, everything- every feeling inside starting to drown him.

Loki can't even physically stand, pushed to his knees and dropping his head to the ground with his arms around himself. This is Loki at his lowest. His magic is uncontrollable at this point as well, lashing out and exploding at random some parts of the ground, creating pillars of ice and thunder, ripping apart the planet inch by inch.

Then Thor appears to Loki, real and true. He could feel Loki's soul tearing itself up and about to implode. He tries to reach out to Loki desperately, to save his sibling from himself. Loki pushes Thor away.

Thor isn't deterred.

Shielding himself using his hammer, Thor makes his way to Loki through the chaos. When he finally reaches his brother, he falls beside him and takes Loki into his arms. Holding Loki tight Thor says the thing that cuts through to Loki's conscious: I love you, Loki.

With no barriers to stop the emotions from rising, no strength inside his heart to continue pushing Thor away, Loki sobs as he allows himself to be held. The chaotic hurricane around the brothers becoming lesser and lesser. Thor repeats the words and quietly murmurs words of reassurance.

Thor tells Loki he is forgiven and that he is sorry for his part in Loki's suffering.

They stay there, the chaos finally gone and the peace returning, allowing themselves at last the space to letting themselves to feel grief. To feel anything at all.

When the time comes, Thor offers Loki his hand to go home. Not to Asgard, but home. Home with Thor. Loki makes a choice; taking Thor's hand and following him back.

Does anyone ever thing that Clint and Tony enjoy dark humor? Or all of the Avengers? Cause they've been through some of the roughest shit in their lives and their pasts weren't as pleasant either.

I've found myself living for dark humor because I understand different forms of pain, from physical pain caused by being a clumsy dumbass to mental pain cause by different mental disorders and mental scarring.

So with all the hell the Marvel characters have been through... Would they enjoy dark humor?

Marvel Prompt!

Steve is walking towards one of Tony's 'relaxing rooms', looking for Tony himself. He had come back with Loki from a mission, both injured. Neither bothered to go to medical at all, as usual. Thor was looking for his sibling, intending to carry him to the infirmary kicking and screaming if he had to.

So it was a surprise when Steve bumped into Thor, heading for the same room. JARVIS had said that both were in this room, but left out that they were in it together.

Entering the room both Steve and Thor were surprised, the room being a small library. On two of the walls were large shelf's containing books, the rest of the room furnished with a few small tables and places to sit on the floor. Tony and Loki were on the floor by a window, a perfect view of the city, resting against each other. Loki reading quietly, while Tony rested with his head on Loki's should.

Both were clearly tired, sore, and physically exhausted. Steve, nor Thor, knew about their emotional or mental state.

Loki spots them, makes a sign to keep quiet, then simply reads some more. Steve shakes his head, amused, and Thor gives a small huff of a laugh. Thor walks over and gently pats Loki's head, murmuring how he loves him. Steve walks over to a section of wall to open a hidden panel, revealing a med kit.

Both Steve and Thor decided to give the two a break, letting them rest in their comfort place today. Tony hugs Loki's arm when Steve tried to pull him into a more suitable position, giving a small puppy whine. It also occurred now to the two that wasn't injured, the ones who had to patch up the wounded, that it wasn't going to be easy bandaging them up.

It was clear now, both were mentally exhausted. Emotionally? Strained, very strained. Nothing but some cuddles could fix it though, cuddles and snacks!
