Eddie Munson was just trying to enjoy his movie. The hellfire guys were supposed to come with him but they all bailed so he is just sitting in the theater by himself. Then he hears people getting shushed, and when he turns to the right he sees Steve “the king” Harrington with a black eye sitting next to “band nerd” Robin Buckley, and they look very high, so, when they leave the theater, he decides to follow them to make sure they are ok. What he didn’t realize was the consequences that would come from this decision.

Archival ink on paper, 6x8". The original drawing is now owned by a private collector. I've also done a reading of this poem on YouTube.
My "Save the Clock Tower" flyer prop replica from Back to the Future.
A couple versions of the actual canonical flyer prop, as used in the film's production, have been in general circulation for a long time; you can grab them and other free printable BTTF props here. I had one on my wall for ages, but was never really satisfied with it. It's filled with placeholder text, unreadable on-screen but nonsensical in real life, and certain other details don't ring true; there isn't a date on the newspaper's front page, for one thing. So, I created a new flyer from scratch, correcting errors and replacing the filler text with original newsprint written by myself.
This was made without re-using anything directly from BTTF; even the photo is something I heavily 'shopped from this free one. I wrote the article text with lots of nods to BTTF continuity as well as some other obscure references and in-jokes, friends' names, etc. (There's a secret signature of mine hidden somewhere which isn't the "Rob Vincent, Dot Net" or "R.T.F. News Wire" bits, which nobody to my knowledge has found yet. If you see it, contact me or leave it here in a comment and claim some geek points!) If you wish to customize or replace the article text, the font is Times New Roman 18pt bold.
Printed up at 300 DPI on the right shade of pale blue paper, these result in a prop replica which I feel is a lot neater in real life than the genuine prop. Alternately you could print it on white paper, photocopy it, copy the copy, and so on to soften the edges and approximate that 1980s multi-generational xerox look before finally getting it copied onto the blue paper.
There's still a bit of work to do on this before I'll consider it finished. For one thing, I had to improvise the masthead text with a calligraphy font that isn't all that good a match if you look closely; if I can't find a closer font I'll have to remake the text from scratch someday.
These were a big hit when I dressed as the "Save the Clock Tower" lady for a Halloween parade.
2021 edit: Wow, this blew up. Nowadays around half of the Clock Tower Flyers for sale online by shady prop dealers are my version, which you can still get totally free here. If you paid anyone for a copy of this flyer, you were ripped off.
This did, however, lead to something nicer; my version was found by actual Back to the Future licensee Doctor Collector, who were impressed enough by my work on it that they negotiated my services to rewrite the news text from scratch once again for their authorized version of the prop which is part of their “Back to the Future Time Travel Memories” box of replica items from the BTTF universe. If you have that kit, which is full of so many very cool things any BTTF diehard would enjoy, you have an all-new and official version of this flyer which was written by me.
It wouldn’t have been cool on either of our ends for Doctor Collector to just reuse my free fan-art in their version and sell it, but through their very kind efforts at reaching out to me I found myself actually writing authorized BTTF-universe material. That’s an achievement I won’t soon forget.

Hope you don’t mind me taking a few creative liberties with this prompt haha 😅. Finally had the motivation to draw again after so long just in time for the spooky season. Some people say that their past haunts them- Marty is starting to wonder if it actually can. I mean, everyone in the old west assumed he was dead after all. Can you haunt yourself? Time travel is confusing…
Anyway yeah, just a little higher effort thingy for this lovely ask! I swear I’ve wanted to do this for ages but life just loves to get in the way of everything lmao. Hope you enjoy this either way!

Okay no but actually I meant to do this ask a whole lot sooner because it’s so good but ofc I couldn’t just leave it at a sketch lol. I am. So damn proud of this silly thing. From the horse, to the rendering, to all the small details, I am so incredibly proud of this Halloween piece. It might have taken a week longer than intended because of rehearsals and my seeing Beetlejuice the Musical (10/10 btw) but I have done it! Hopefully I can get back to silly sketches now I say, pointedly ignoring the other full out piece sitting in my program.
Anyway, I hope I did your idea justice! Thanks for the amazing little spooky idea

The Docpocalypse continues! Finally! I’ve had one hell of a week between auditions for a play, callbacks, the cast list, my art getting stolen, and getting that Gatsby piece in on time- BUT FEAR NOT! Good luck fighting him on this one, Marty. He’s a dad now. He’s used to putting stubborn kids to bed. Not pictured (because I’m lazy and didn’t wanna pose that many ppl-) is 1931 Doc and 1955 Doc standing around a shattered beaker, multiple piles of flaming…something (paper, gel, idk), and a still lit Bunsen burner. You can kinda guess what happened from there-

Doc (present 1986): Everything is fine, Marty, now go lay back down- 😅
Marty: But you’re literally-
Doc: I know.
Marty: And-

This will be the vicious cycle that will repeat at least twice more before Marty gets a decent amount of sleep (which is thanks to Einstein finding the chaos and laying with the poor kid like the amazing dog he is) And yes, 1986 present Doc is the best at getting the stubborn teen to sleep because of his acquired dad skills, but that doesn’t mean the other Emmetts aren’t just as capable. 1955 Doc has had to get Marty to sleep multiple times during his week there, 2015 Doc is no different, and 1931 Emmett literally let Marty sleep in during the game because he seemed really tired so what makes you think he won’t find a way to help his friend sleep?? Marty is going to rest whether he likes it or not. This is not a question, but a fact.
I’ve been playing with other characters in my mind as well, because it won’t just be Marty forever. I think Jennifer gets dragged in when they remember Marty’s parents, and she’s called in to come grab him. Speaking of George and Lorraine, either they don’t find out at all or, if they’ve figured out time travel, they do and it’s chaotic. (If you wanna see how I think them finding out would go, there’s a link to my fic on @squoosh-the-floof-writes It’s called The Truth About Time Travel do read it) Then ofc there’s Clara and the boys. Clara stumbles in first, which is nothing short of entertaining as she somehow manages to effortlessly contain the chaos (“I know how your brain works, Emmett. This is just that times four”) The boys don’t bump into all of them at first, but rather I think they meet 1931 Doc first which is just all sorts of funny. Anyway more to come from this

So this came to me in a dream today and well it works so behold. This is about an hour after the initial phone call thanks to Jules and Verne asking many questions as Doc was trying to leave and he’d rather they not follow him this time. As for what I mean by the McFly luck- Marty and his ancestors are extremely unlucky. Let’s be honest. To some degree all of them have either directly been unlucky or had their choices result in mild to severe disaster. In this instance specifically it means while trying to move from point A to point B Marty fell half asleep, tripped, knocked a dustpan of ash onto himself, somehow lit himself on fire, and damn near collapsed onto the doorframe. Someone force this kid to take a nap. Please.
Marty Vs The Doc-pocalypse, Ep 1: The Phone Call
Not actually planning to do a ton of these doodle animatics but I couldn’t format this one into a comic in a way I liked so behold. Pause for individual slides.
I’ve decided that no one was around when the four different Docs dropped (literally) into the garage, but rather Marty was heading there to pick something up after school one day and walked into the absolute disaster that is four paranoid scientists both trying to avoid each other and study what’s going on. Cue a very confused and rather panicked phone call to the Brown Family Farm (and the Doc from his current time) in which Marty gives both himself and Doc a heart attack. What fun!
Also yes, the box Doc is holding and looking through says “Explosive! (Probably)”

I put way too much effort into what was supposed to be a stupid doodle so uh. Have this Tumblr. I really don’t have a better explanation for this other than I got two more Doc Pop! Figures today, which leaves me with a growing army of 3 Docs and one singular Marty, and I keep laughing every time I look at them in my display case so here we have Marty dealing with multiple Docs from different times that have all somehow ended up in the garage in 1986. Four dimensional thinking has never been his strong suit, and trying to figure this out is not helping. He’s got two hours of sleep, a bajillion positive encouraging post-it notes from the Doc of the present telling him to sleep, hot chocolate, and four very enthusiastic Emmetts crowding the lab. Send help. And caffeine. And maybe Clara cause he’s not so sure he can keep them from blowing something up for much longer.
