Bambi's Parents in their youth not too long after they first met - they admittedly had the 'the annoyed and the annoying' kinda friendship in the beginning. Eventually did grow out of that phase and the rest is history!
Fun fact: I'd personally named them Ava (Bambi's Mom) and Bruno (Great Prince)

A couple years ago I'd written (and never finished >_<) a fanfic detailing Bruno's past + Ava's past before and after they met each other. One of the scenes I had sketched was of Bruno's first time seeing snow with his caretaker Old Nettla (novel character I repurposed for the fic!)

The first drawing I made for my fic - when Bruno as a fawn first found the clearing where he'd eventually meet Ava, and then years later show to Bambi

Another drawing I'd made for the fic, more or less showcasing the dynamic Bruno had with Old Nettla + the ways I made his design slightly different from Bambi's
Such as his eyes being a rich brown, his fur being lighter in color (a bit ironic considering he'd grown to have one of the darker fur colors as an adult, but hey all other deer had that going too XD) and hair fuzz being a little swept back - while Bambi's eyes were red in tone and his hair fuzz facing forward

A bunch of sketches I did in recent times! Mostly showcasing how I'd envisioned Bambi's Parents' relationship + bonus sketches featuring Bambi himself!

For a lil' change of pace for this blog, I wanted to showcase some o' my Bambi art! (I swear I'm still normal about the movies, the essay I wrote months ago is a testament to that)

Anyway! The first two are from sometime between 2021 and 2023, the next two are actually 2023/2024 remakes of 2020 illustrations (which I couldn't find the original files for X_X) and the last is from 2024 :3

Hopefully I'll get to share more o' these sketches in the future
