the way bj grabs his wrist just to have one last second of touching him. hawkeye has to pull his arms off of him and has to fully look away to be able to leave. the shaking cry bj lets out as he brushes him off. fuckkk

GFA was about taking the thing that helped each person cope and also defined them, right, which means everyone’s arc was about reconciling themselves with that senseless loss, Margaret with the army, Klinger with Toledo, Mulcahy with his ability to hear confession, Hawkeye with surgery, Charles with music, Potter his career, which means Beej should have lost HIS WIFE!!! It should have been his marriage! He should have gotten a divorce, that should have been his loss, his whole thing was fidelity, his whole thing was wife guy tempted but never strays because his wife is his lifeline he should have lost his wife but he didn’t!!! That wasn’t the loss he had to reconcile himself with!!! That wasn’t the goodbye he had to say!!! That wasn’t the thing he had to address before narratively being allowed to leave korea!!!!! That wasn’t what he had to watch walk away from him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
