WOAH! SAME ANON!

Blurr and Ratchet are relatively self-explanatory and simple to explain, so they'll go first. Blurr? Generally, his character is pretty interesting, and I'm curious to find out more as I go. AUs that include Blurr have always been pretty damn clever and interesting to see, too. Also, funny blue guy goes speed, haha. Ratchet? I've never seen a continuity of him that isn't comically amusing, even if unintentional. Snarky old man is just really funny to me, and I like that about him. Poor guy can't catch a break.

Getaway?

(cracks knuckles)

The more I read and discover about Getaway, the more intrigued about the guy I get. A lot of people seem to dull him down, which sucks because his character honestly gets better the deeper you dive into it.

Regrettably I'm not the most informed on the Transformers universe, nor have I even read the MTMTE and Lost Light comics yet, but I have definitely read a lot of theory posts, deep dives, and even watched a fair share of videos talking about him as a character.

He's one of the characters you can't help but like, even if he's an absolute trash of a prick. To me, the best way to summarise him is that he's a guy with the right intentions, with the wrong way of going about it. I can definitely find myself emphasising and relating to him as a character because he DOES have valid feelings and concerns that honestly would have proved a point if only the way he went around it wasn't so harmful and malicious.

With a lot of characters in the franchise– especially these comics– it gets pretty difficult to discern their character as black and white. While they do their fair share of honourable actions, they have a tendency to have poor means of action. Not every action comes without its consequences or harm to others in some way, shape, or form.

He's flawed in his mentality and beliefs, and to me, that's what makes him a good character. He's made valid points and concerns at points in time, yet his execution of actions regarding his beliefs is so... horrible. I emphasise with his character, but I also don't condone nor appreciate any of his actions.

There's SO much more to his character that I'll probably end up rambling about later on at some point once I've gotten around to properly reading the comics for myself, but as a character Getaway is just so fascinating to me. Also, his colour scheme is awesome. Have I mentioned that yet? His design is really appealing and nice. Like, look at that pathetic banana of a mech. He looks like a rotting banana.

Anyway, I'll stop here before I end up leaving a massive textwall on my blog, haha.

That being said, as much as I absolutely love his character, I wouldn't hesitate to beat him over the head with seventy slabs of concrete.

The butterfly wings are half and half. It's mostly just a coincidence there, but I LOVE drawing Biopsy with butterfly motifs and butterfly wings, and I'm constantly referring to him as a butterfly.

Biopsy's friend encouraging him to pursue a medic career wasn't intentionally to harm him; but the effect definitely led to more harm than it would have if Biopsy pursued another career. Unintentionally, it had a drastic impact on him. As for what happened to his friend... that's a secret. 👀 HOWEVER! I do have a few writing snippets of Biopsy and the scene written, which you can read here! Just heed the content warnings.

AS FOR HIS CONJUNX... haha, they're actually very happy together! It's just... the fun little road they take together to get there is anything but nice. :')

But at least they have each other.

Oh boy.

TF OCs are some of the most amazing creations you can probably find out there. Compared to other fandoms, Transformer OCs are by far some of the most clever and wonderfully created characters out there. Whether it's inserting those characters in pre-existing media or making your entire own new universe, TF has a ton of opportunities. Short answer? LOVE THEM!

I have a bunch of my own OCs as well! One of them by far is the token favourite child (much to his dismay), and that would be my ambulance medic— Biopsy!

He has door wings, though!

Biopsy, in short, is a medic who has definitely been through a lot more than he should. His character overall is drowning in a mix of grief and guilt for situations out of his control. He originates from Nova Cronum and spent most of his life there prior to the war. Fun fact, but the guy has gone through numerous paint alterations and a few smaller frame tweaks.

HE HAS GONE THROUGH SO MUCH.

His first friend set off the WORST butterfly effect Biopsy could have experienced. He suffered indescribable work-related traumas and dealt with the effects of the war. And what did he get? Nothing. All he has to show for it is a crushing weight of grief and the invisible scars inflicted upon his very spark. He'll NEVER forget what he went through.

...But hey, at least he has a loving conjunx..?

Is there anything you'd like to experiment on with artistically? Regarding drawing Transformers or art in general. -per

Drawing mecha and Transformers in general had always been a struggle at first, especially because I rushed straight into it without any prior experience.

Artistically, I'd definitely be looking into properly studying 3D form or even just rendering / style techniques. I'm notorious for making nice sketches but never properly colouring or rendering them, LOL. Stuff like mecha joints and internal workings have been something that's frequently on my mind, and I'd definitely be looking into that for experimentation and studying. I'm aware stuff of mine like posing can look a little stiff or flat, so probably even posing and perspective. Emphasis on perspective.

I'm definitely looking to experiment more in general, though HAH!

It honestly depends, really? IDW Getaway is definitely a personal favourite (definitely not fixated on him), but I guess general favourites like Blurr and Ratchet would work, too. There aren't many special favourites if you exclude Getaway.

My favourites really depend on the specific continuity as well, since I can like some versions of characters but not others.
