CHRISTMAS, COOKIES, AND CUDDLES

synopsis: a fluffy christmas morning with your girlfriend, wonyoung (after burning some cookies that is)

red would be wonyoung

green would be y/n

wonyoung woke up to the smell of something burning. she looked beside and saw that her girlfriend's side of the bed was empty. that could only mean one thing, she thought. y/n's cooking/burning something

after fixing herself up, she quickly ran downstairs to the sight of y/n trying to turn off the oven that's emitting some smoke. she ran beside you and turned the machine off before it could cause more damage. when the smoke cleared, they were both coughing up. y/n calmed down first with wonyoung following a while later. after calming down, wonyoung looked at her girlfriend who's currently looking at her own feet. it reminded her of a child who got caught by her parents for doing something they told her not to do.

sighing, wonyoung cupped her cheeks making y/n look at her.

"im not mad, just curious. why were you baking without me? you could've woke me up baby"

"im sorry, i just wanted to make some christmas cookies. i know you were tired last night from your schedule so i didn't want to wake you up"

wonyoung's eyes softened, she never imagined that someone could be this precious. her heart softened at her girlfriend's kind gesture. wonyoung engulfed y/n in a tight hug while y/n burried her face in her neck.

they stayed there for awhile, just hugging each other and enjoying the other's presence. while hugging, an idea struck y/n.

"hey wonnie"

“yeah?”

“since you're awake now, why don't we try to bake together? that way you can make sure i don't burn anything”

“that sounds wonderful! let’s do it”

and with that, the two went on to the cupboards to get ingredients for the cookies. they worked as a team with each of them doing their assigned task. y/n with the mixing and wonyoung with the measuring. of course when it was time to put the batter into the oven, it was wonyoung who placed it this time. with the correct time and temperature too.

now it was the waiting game, y/n plopped on the couch face first and buried her face on one of the pillows. wonyoung giggled at her girlfriend's antics that turned into laughter as y/n who started rolling on the couch fell.

y/n grumbled when she saw her girlfriend laughing at her fall.

"don't just stand there, pick your baby up" she whined with arms raised like a baby which lead to wonyoung laughing more.

"alright you big baby, wonnie's on her way"

the two were stuck in the own bubble on the couch, enjoying each other's company and banters that they barely heard the timer go off. with cookies done, wonyoung stood up to get them. as she got them out of the oven, y/n brought out a plate and two glasses from the cupboard. she also got some milk from the fridge. when everything was ready at the table, the couple sat down and tried the cookies. as they bit on the cookies, silence ensued.

"these cookies are too sweet"

they exchanged wide-eyed glances, stunned that they just blurted out the same thing at the same time. a smile crept up their faces as they both laughed at the silliness of the situation.

"i think you mixed too much sugar on the batter"

"hey you were the one who measured the ingredients"

their banters continued as they kept eating the cookies. eventually, they finished the whole batch and left the dishes at the sink. with their tummies filled, the two of decided to simply end the day by sleeping.

they got cozy in their bed, wrapped in each other's warmth. their comfort found in each other's embrace. "today was fun wasn't it?" "yeah it was even if the cookies were too sweet" that got them giggling again "my eyes are getting heavy baby, let's sleep?" "goodnight wonnie, i love you and merry christmas" "i love you too baby, merry christmas"

silence surrounded the room as the two lovers slowly fell asleep. the cozy christmas air lulling them to sleep.

merry christmas and happy holidays everybody!!! i hope you guys had a fulfilling year, may the next year be more gentle with us all. i love you all!!!
