I resurrected an old character from one of my scrapped stories!
It was one of my spiritual, magical fantasy stories where the characters were witches, making spells and throwing their spirits in and out of the astral realm.
Now that I know how not-great THAT is, I don't write those kinds of stories anymore. I CAN reuse the characters for my new, more God-centered stories though!
This is Candice (or Carissa. Haven't decided yet), a 32-year-old working woman. She used to be a 26-year-old unemployed woman also named Candice, who used to be a 22-year-old university student again, also named Candice, who used to be a 16-year-old boyfriend stealer (yikes!) called Tamara, who used to be a 13-year-old hunted by a supernatural vampiric creature, the original Tamara.
She went through multiple iterations and multiple storylines over the years and hopefully, this one sticks. She's honestly a whole new character at this point!

It's an end-of-the-world/alien invasion type thing. A lot of my stories are still supernatural, but I put a lot of the supernatural in their rightful place and don't have my protagonists fooling around with any of it.

Here's Tamika! I was trying out a different style. Tamika is a practical sort of person and I tried to get that across in the way she dresses for work. She's also very slim and tall, so her clothes don't fit the best.

These were the final sketches that I used for my cover design. I did the split-down-the-middle thing to represent how Tamika is mentally separated from these powers that she doesn't want.
The last two sketches show her and Jamette facing each other. I can't quite remember what I had in mind when I came up with this (this is why you take notes!) but I think it was just the continuation of them being separate from each other. I do have plans for the 'Jamette' in her to start fighting against her will.

These were the ideas I sketched for my final assignment. I decided on another minimalist cover with bright colours. I went for that half-and-half theme. The character sees herself and her alter ego as two separate things, as she didn't choose this for herself.
I played around with shackles and playing card themes as well, seeing as she's being toyed with by demons. She feels trapped despite seemingly having more freedom behind this dark face.
The clownish idea came from the Youtuber Understanding Conspiracy and his popular theory of 'The Nephilim Look Like Clowns'.
I borrowed the idea of the clown nephilim in their bright colours and mesmerising patterns and combined it with a character called a Jab Jab from my country's culture.

I had another idea for the cover, style-wise. I was thinking of clean, detailed line art with flat colour (possibly pastels or desaturated).
I love this sketch so much. I did this when I was still struggling to draw character art that I was happy with and is one of the few good pieces from that period.
I decided for Gabriella's pose to have her leaning towards Noah. The arm near Cyrus is held up as if she's carrying a shield. She's shielding herself from him (it) and leaning towards Noah as he's going to be a big help to her against Cyrus ( I love coming up with the hows and whys for what I do!)
I think I might stick with the more cartoony illustration though. I have been developing a more cartoony style for my other stories and I prefer drawing in that style overall.

The first sketch is what gave me the idea for the name of this story, though I may change the name in the future as I'm not sure if the fake romance will be a large part of this story.
What better way for a demon to mess with a teenage girl than to 'fall in love' with her? This time, SHE doesn't fall for it. She KNOWS he's a creature of darkness and is immune to his charm.
The last two are more cover art ideas. I wanted to add Noah to the possible cover and keeping with the idea of it looking like a cute romance cover, I made it look as if she has to choose between the boys (well, the one boy and the demon pretending to be a boy)
The boys mirror each other for that balanced look and to show off their intentions. Noah has a Bible and Cyrus has a deformed heart. Gabriella's pose is a work-in-progress. I'm not sure yet how she's going to stand.

Here are some finalised drawings of all of the main and supporting characters.
Below the picture, I will list them from the top left to the bottom right.
Cyrus Hinds/The demon- In the first sketch, I made it look more like a 14-year-old boy, more human and with a softer face. In the second sketch, I made it look more creature-like, basically how I described it in my short story. I gave it more elf-like features and a sharper face. It doesn't look like a 14-year-old boy, but that's the point.
Gabriella Pierre- Her original design featured a short afro and a flower in her hair. I wanted to be more creative with her hair and decided to give her four smaller afro puffs. I also love how her face came out. I think she looks quite cute.
Amaya Graham- Her design stayed the same. Amaya is the sweet, harmless-looking, quiet friend. I did very loosely base her off an old friend from my school days. They share large spectacles and the long hair.
Marissa Ramdin- I wanted her to be very pretty with an elegant look to her. She's the effortlessly pretty friend that everyone's a little bit jealous of. I may work on her design a bit more.
Kadiah Toussaint- I'm quite happy with how she turned out, especially her hair. Back in my school days, I used to wear my hair in small twists and I hoped to recreate that style in drawing. I think I did quite well!
Sasha Antoine (pronounced Ant-wine)- Yes, Sasha is our 'mean girl'. I based her design on how I see the current high school girls styling themselves for school. I went for that cute, YK2 look with the baby hairs.
Noah McKenzie- He's a newer character I decided to add as support and a new friend for Gabriella. He's named after Noah from the Bible (I also just think Noah is a really cute name). I wanted him to physically contrast Cyrus. A lot about him is very soft and comforting while Cyrus evokes the opposite.
All characters except Cyrus and Noah are 14 years old. They are all in their 3rd year of secondary/high school (we have 5 years of secondary school in my country)
Cyrus is masquerading as a 14-year-old and Noah is 15 and in his 4th year of secondary/high school.

More cover art ideas and a couple of sketches from when this story had a lighter tone to it.
Gabriella was a very brave (in a stupid way) character who had great confidence in her protection from GOD and openly taunted a demon with it. At the time, I didn't know that you could still experience demon possession and oppression despite being an obedient Christian.
Gabriella is NOT an obedient Christian! I mean, who is when they're a teenager. That's very rare these days.
The current Gabriella takes this entity more seriously as throughout the story, she will learn more about what demons are really capable of.

I wanted to do a minimalistic cover with just Gabriella and Cyrus. She would be outlined in white and him in black. I was thinking of pink or lavender for the background. I wanted it to look like it was hinting at a cutesy romance.
I also wanted little hints of Cyrus's true nature in his design. His back is to the audience to symbolise him hiding said nature. His slit pupil and the pentagram in his hair (he has it as a fade design) hint at that. My other sketch has a typical devil's tail and a fireball in his hand, but I thought that was going overboard.
The last two sketches are Gabriella taunting and triumphing over Cyrus. Don't taunt demons in real life, please. They're not like how they portray them in the movies. They are NOT nice. You WILL be hurt BADLY.

On these pages, I was writing the story. I made little sketches throughout. I was visualising how they would interact and also sketching out possible cover art ideas.
This story was originally a cutesy, light-hearted story where the protagonist cleanly defeats the villain, but now that I know the REAL truth about demons, this story will have a more serious tone.
The villain (Cyrus) is going to be so much more insidious.

These were my initial doodles of some of the characters for my story. This is how I usually start, so I can get an idea of how I want them to look. Some of them change in future artwork.
Gabriella (Denise) is the protagonist, Amaya is one of her friends, Cyrus is the demon/nephilim and Sasha, who has not been introduced yet is a minor antagonist.
Denise's name was changed to Gabriella, because the name Denise is connected to Diyonisus, a greek 'god' (more than likely one of the fallen or their offspring).

Adira is the queen of the Syren Born Fae. She grew up with her triplets Ethan and Seraphina in the woods near Amalraum. She is close friends with Kaimanas Aurelius, though she'd rather Florentine, Kaimana's brother, die in a rather gruesomely violent manner.
When she was 10, she left with Ethan, her brother, to go to royal training in their respective kingdoms. She became the military leader and Queen of the Syren Queendom, Azura. Her brother went on to become King of the Dustborn kingdom, the Laurel Valley.
She resents Florentine and Zephyre for killing her sister. In fact, about three years after Seraphina's passing, she declared war on Amalraum. The only reason this war didn't come into fruition was because Kaimana asked her oh so nicely.
She is currently single.
Her most precious item is a black opal seraphina found for her when they were kids. Ethan set it into her Signet ring.
She was born on May 16th.
She's always losing her trident, she's a vegetarian, and she loves listening to classical music, whale songs, opera, and some death metal(but only Scandinavian and Indian).
Her deepest fears are harpoons, drowning, and losing the people closest to her.
She is 27 years old.

Hey ya'll. Been a bit since I've posted any actual artwork here but I waned to share this asmodeus redesign i've been working on this week.
Don't get me wrong, I don't really have that many issues with asmodeus's design, personally I think he's (At least comparatively) one of the better designs vivzie has made, though tbh. I feel like he could be more sexualized, he's the embodiment of lust for crying out loud! Give this man some thighs!
Just as a disclaimer too, I do not support vivzie or her actions, I just wanted to make this design (Mainly for a project i'm doing with some buds) but anyways, hope you enjoy this lil WIP.

Don't have much else to show off for the new year, but I do have this WIP charlie emily design concept i've been working on this week. I'm overall liking the face + the hair, might change the outfit a bit more, who knows.

Anyways, I finished up that one william afton drawing I posted here, alongside a drawing of the yellow rabbit. I'm honestly pretty proud of the linework here. Admittedly the yellow rabbits head was a pain to draw, mostly cause I wanted it to reasonably look like it could fit on williams head, but I think it worked out in the end.

So, I decided to draw strangled Red tonight, primarily using the Lasso tool, for a relatively quick doodle i'm suprised with out well it turned out. But you can let me know how I did in the comments.

So, this week in an attempt to work on my character design chops, I decided to draw myself an alien emperor design, attempting to turn the stereotypical alien look into something cool.
If it isn't obvious by the outfit, the design is very much inspired by classic 50's and 60's sci-fi, the hologram cape was added cause I thought it was cool.
Anyways, hope you enjoy the design, feel free to give feedback, critiques and all that. I'll try to get these out semi regularly.

I finished my design for Lord Mammon Sin of Avarice (Greed). I did some searching, and apparently, toads and foxes are linked/symbols of greed.
Also, 4 arms for him to steal/hold more.
But he is absolutely a swindler. He is the tallest of the high deamon lords and is particularly good friends with the sin of envy and is a complete kiss-ass to Lucifer. He's not a fan of my sona, but he tolerates them. Don't be fooled by his size he's one of the faster lords
