Rody wasn't expecting the compliments, but welcomed them anyway. Iida was a really kind guy. "Ah, you flatter me." He said with a hand rubbing his head. "Buuut I guess I am pretty amazing, huh? Kinda hard to deny it." He added with a chuckle.
"Oh-?" Rody had barely noticed her due to his own excitement and the conversation they were having. She was still flying in circles, around the two of them now. "Seems like she wants to spread her wings a bit." That reason made sense.

although rody was right in the fact that iida would save him if something were to happen to him in this session, iida was still worried that the jump was too much of a gap.
“yeah, but...” he would take a breath as he scanned the jump once more and shrugged his shoulders. “alright, if you think you can do it then go right ahead and i will be there to save you if anything happens.” his legs were itching to run anyway, but if rody thought he could do this, iida was going to let him. this was training after all, if they didn’t push themselves then what good would this be?
Rody shot up to his feet, a large grin on his face as he brushed himself off from the roll. Pino had appeared from wherever she was hiding, flying happily in tiny circles. “I’m fine; I’m all good.” He quickly reassured the other before he could get a chance to worry any more than he already was.
“Thank you! Not a bad job yourself, Pres. Those leaps must be real easy for you, though. Good power for jumps and strength for landing. I’m almost jealous.”

His smile widened at the class president's permission. “Great!” Rody hopped a few times, as if to warm up his legs, while he moved farther away from the edge to get some good running distance.
He was radiating confidence as he got into a running position, even though he hadn’t done this in a while. Rody trusted that his body would know what to do naturally after doing parkour for so many years.
And away he went, sprinting past the hero-in-training and launching himself off the edge of the building. It was nice to feel the wind rush against him like this again. After the hangtime over the large gap had ended, Rody’s feet hit the ground first as the rest of his body followed in a somersault-type roll. It was a hard landing due to the the distance of the jump, but it was a landing nonetheless.
He made it!

"how about we don’t do that.”
"It's not that far." Rody claimed as he sized up the gap between the buildings. Looks like they were in the middle of a parkour session.
"I can make it, I promise. And if I don't, which won't happen, you'll save me. Like the hero that you are." He gave a reassuring slap to Iida's shoulder.
"Well, we've been together a long time; it's only natural. And she is a pretty smart bird, being able to understand conversation and all." Yeah, in a world full of superheroes and villains, a bird like Pino wasn't far-fetched at all.
A buzz came from his pocket as if to confirm that Iida's text had been sent successfully. Rody pulled out his modern flip phone to check the text just so it wasn't left unread all day. "Nice. Thanks again, Iida. I’m looking forward to our session tomorrow."

"You can't tell me what to do."
“i might not be able to make you sleep or drink water, but it does beg the question on how you’re doing.”
"Right, right." Rody took the phone carefully from the other. Good thing he had a phone now or else this would have been awkward. He started typing the number in, fidgeting a bit at the mention of the pink bird.
"Oh, Pino?" Rody tilted his head in her direction. "She's, ya know, a bird." This got a glare from said bird as Rody returned the phone. "A very expressive one. What could you possibly want to know?"

“i might not be able to make you sleep or drink water, but it does beg the question on how you’re doing.”
“Wow, so soon!” Rody reached up to pat the bird a couple of times. It was his way of telling her to calm down after the previous outburst.
“That works for me. You just let me know whenever you’re all set to head out. I’ll make sure to be ready by then.”

“Guess that’s true. Then, it’s a plan!” Pino popped out of his hair with a chirp as he did his best to ignore her. Embarrassing.
“When should our first day be, Prez?”

Rody recalled how tired he would feel whenever a job went sideways and he had to navigate his way to safety away from the police back in Otheon. Back when he did those sort of things. Maybe not a great example to bring up in front of a hero.
“Oh, I bet. If it doesn’t mess up your studies or schedule, I don’t mind a training partner. I’m a little rusty after all.”

“Ha, I don’t do daily training like you heroes but, maybe I could start doing some parkour in the evening.” It had been a while since he put his skills to use.
“That would tire me out for sure.”

“Just pulling your leg, bud. I promise I’m well-hydrated and I’m doing.. okay in the sleep department.”
