Cute page from my sketchbook! I haven’t worked with colored pencil in a long time so this was really fun 😊

Just early morning doodles!

While I’ve been hibernating and being cracked out of my mind. I’ve been experimenting with the art of color pencils, here’s some of the proudest pieces I’ve made. Hope whoever’s stalking this account will enjoy it also, for now that’s all. I’ll be back with a new Marcy drawing someday, till next time…toodles!

Sorry that I haven’t been posting much lately. Spring break just finished and I caught a cold at the end of it. I’m recovering now so i’m gonna post some old artwork that I haven’t posted yet. We have Rue drawn once again with the first attempt with pent went…bad, the second one I love though. Hope y’all enjoy it and I wish y’all a wonderful day

my first colored post

I barely color my drawings at all and it shows, mainly finish at sketch and maybe some linearts. Either way, here is one OCs cherishing their Pansear Pokemon plush based off the one I have. Hope y’all enjoy

Okay, it's the next day by now but I'm done!

Okay, I stopped working on the previous sketch since something about it was not right. I'm not sure what but it felt weird and I didn't like it.

Instead I moved on to the next one. Sadly, I forgot to make a picture of the sketch before slightly erasing but I wanted to show it nethertheless. So, here's Eijiro in his hero costume

And this is the hair done. I started coloring the shadows and the light parts seperatly and went over it with more pressure.

But my pencil broke so many times as I sharpened it 😞 I guess I must have dropped it somewhere for it to break that much.

Also, the paper started curling again. And another problem: due to the mass of pencil on paper, it sticked to my palm and stuck to the right side of the page. Luckily I managed to erase most of it. It's still slightly visible but so light that I probably won't mind.

I wanted to talk more about the coloring. I layered the colors in this way:

Base color - red

Shadows - dark red

Base color again (even over the shadows) - red

Shadows again - dark red

Alternate base color over everything - pinkish red

Darken shadows - black

I use the black to mute the color a little.

And now I am applying moderate pressure to get a more vibrant red. When coloring I also like to start with the most vibrant color to be able to match the other less vibrant colors to the apperance.

But in the end the order which part I color first doesn't matter that much.

Since I forgot to post a picture of the sketch before erasing, I thought: maybe I'll just post my coloring process instead. But guess who forgot to take a picture again.

Jupp. So moving past the first stage to the second. First off, I layed out the base colors but only with minimal pressure. Now I drew in the shadows with a darker pencil and also minimal pressure. Next, it's about to slowly make the colors more vibrant and mix differnt layers of colors to get the exact one I need.

And yes, I did forget about the scar again but added it just after this post.

And if anyone needs a tip on how to get vibrant colors with pencils, start with minimal pressure and keep layering more and more. In the end you can go over the color with more pressure.

Finished it ❤️ I'm going to hang it on the wall somewhere. Turned out amazing.

And I cannot believe I managed to make the paper curl with only colored pencils. (And yes, I used a black marker for the jacket but the paper was curling before already)

Hiii, it's been a long time. A lot going on in real life currently.

I found myself something new to be obsessed with and I am also slowly changing to original art supplies. IDK why, but it's currently more fun to draw on paper than on my tablet.

I doubt that I'll ever start posting frequently.

Oh my gosh this took like twenty minutes to draw and outline- then TWO HOURS TO COLOR- I’m so proud of this though- it’s a new style and it took a few trys to get right but I love the turn out-
