One of the theories going around about Fyodor is that his ability is to take the years of a person's life whom he kills. So does that mean Fyodor is a Shinigami, a god of death? That's why he is immortal? 🤔
What if Fyodor becomes Light's Shinigami, what his reaction would be like when Light says he wants to be the God of the new world?
Now all I can think about is Fyodor and Light forging a mutual friendship where they try to get rid of all the "evil" in the world by their philosophies.
Or they resent each other, cuz there can't be two gods of the new world at the same time!
"I am Justice"
(could L/ Near catch Light and Fyodor if they are working together?)
Re-watched and Re-read Death Note so...
As someone who is preparing for a career in law this will be rather interesting.
I know Misa and Mikami are Kira supporters but their own sense of Justice is different from Light's. Mikami is way more intense in punishing criminals and Misa does not care about Justice except for the fact it punished the criminals who killed her parents; she only punishes criminals for Light's attention.
Ryuk and L are more on the neutral side as in they either do not have any interest in justice or only care about having fun and not being bored. That's why Ryuk dropped the death note out of boredom and L solves cases when it's of personal intrigue to him, he is mostly morally grey.
The rest of the characters have their own unique sense of Justice (or the lack thereof).
(Have not read LA: BB case, I have no idea what BB is like except he is like the Lawlight lovechild)
Edit: LIGHT AND L BOTH WON WTF, IS THIS REAL? I LOVE THIS, THAT'S SO TRUE TO THE SERIES
*inserts Light and L saying "I am Justice" together*
L: I love eating cake
Light: (what is he trying to say? Is he trying to see if my reaction to him liking cake means I am kira? Is he baiting me to posion him? I could poison all his food and blame it all on Matsuda if I want. He probably makes Watari taste all his food before he eats them)
L: Light, do you like cake?
Light: (is this a trick? Is he trying to make me think about cakes while he analyses my responses, to see if I am Kira or not? Does my answer prove I am innocent or guilty? He can't prove anything by my answer) Not much, Riyuzaki.
L: Kira doesn't like cakes, what a shame.
Light: how do you know?
L: you just said you don't like Cake much didn't you Light?
Light: (uhhh he got me! How did I slip up!) I am not Kira
L: yeah sure and I am not the best detective in the world
"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause trouble without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood... and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them... because in truth, I am that monster."
~L Lawliet, Death Note Relight 2.
Death Note spoilers ahead:
I personally think it would have been harder for the police and L to catch up with Light if:
1. He hadn't been obsessed with the idea of being the "god" of the "new world" (aka being power hungry)
2. He didn't wish to be recognised, instead laying as low as possible (he was really excited to be KIRA, when it only made him be more in the police's radar)
3. He didn't kill extreme amount of criminals on the go. Instead focused to make sure there was no pattern (such as time, dates, kills, types of criminals)
4. Used other methods than heart attack, more accidental or predictable deaths would have made it quite hard to track back.
5. Hadn't accepted an open challenge of L by killing Lind. L. Taylor which confirmed a lot of stuff for L.
6. STOP DOING HIS EVIL LAUGHS AND MONOLOGUES IN HIS FREAKING HOUSE. (though his sister and mother probably thought he was going through an emo phase. I can imagine Sayu saying "Mom, Light is talking about being the god of the world again. He also has some imaginary friend called Ryuk" "Just, ignore it honey")
While I know Light wanted to be known and be treated as some vigilante god, on the long run being a hidden and mysterious force like L would have helped him achieve his goal. Also knowing L's IQ, he would still have found Light.
I FUCKING LOVE LIGHT SO BAD but in a L kind’ve, media critical way- not a blind Misa way
(no hate to her btw, my fav comphet lesbian)
the fact that I love every single one of them that is from a movie/series I watched is quite funny to me
I will defend them with my life
the funniest thing about death note is how much the fans love the angst of “Light was L’s only friend 😔 despite it all, he was the first person L ever considered to be a friend” and then when asked about it the creators were like “oh I think L lied about that. L loves to lie”
GOODNESS THERE ARE SO MANY PIECES OF MEDIAS I WANNA GET INTO/BACK TO BUT I CANT I CANT WHY CANT I
