you'll notice his tail and ears are very different to tsunami and my general headcannon for seawings/ i imagine the tribe has countless phenotypes for features like that, as diverse as the marine life surrounding them

PERIL 🔥 !! i finally found a design for her i like yayyyy!!

she is constantly steaming and glowing around her core bc of the fire in her. in my design, the gradient is dark around her whole face and down her neck bc she is actually charred from the heat! the skywings are based off birds of pray for me, but the fluffed feathers on the back of their necks are burned off for peril! she's bald noooo!!

Moon !! 🌙 i love her sm i cant wait to draw her and Kinkajou being wlw (forever a Moonajou truther)

She is just suuuuper sparkly bc they cant stop fawning over her polished healthy silvery scales hihihi/ the moonflowers are matching with Kinkajou and the bracelet is shared with her friends! btw in my head Moon was a normal size and chubby when she went to the academy, but i like to imagine her growing taller than winter and qibli after ehhehehe

finally i am very satisfied with her, i imagine she gets into medicine after the war and travels and does her stuff carrying her herbs and remedies with her <3 bracelet represents her friends ofc

Starflight ✦

a little scruffy like a scardycat, but considered pretty and fit looking for a nightwing of his era. Starflight was hatched on the brightest night hidden from moonlight, so in my design, while they are visible- his stars, tears and the moons on his wings do not glow like on other nightwings, but are darker!

as a librarian he wears a moonstone chain with beads for each of his friends and always has a wooden tablet as his scroll on hand. i imagine he would wear some kind of wrapping to protect his eyes to light sensitivity post injury, but he doesnt need it all the time.

im not sure how long it's gonna take me to make them digital and post them but i have all my tribe headcannons already planned out in my sketchbook. but for now im gonna try to do more protags!

Glory ❀

loosely based her design on a peacock! in my version, her colours are slightly muted and the 'decorative' feathers and display parts of rainwings are missing on her due to sun deprevation. her frills are smaller for the same reason, but her horns suggest a natural crown.

of course she also has beads for the friends, and two extra ones for kinkajou and jambu!<33 plus you get to see her long ass rainwing thumb hehe

RAINWINGS ❀!!

very obvious bias for them on my part - we are doing design notes for now, expect countless headcannons on their culture and life etc

-generally based on large parrots and pythons! in a fantasy sense, they are covered in scales that look/act as feather plumage, able to bristle and be moved for display or emote as body language together with their frills! their face looks like a snakes, able to scent heat and taste the air with tounge flicks

-they also have larger longer 'feathering' near the base of their tail that looks like macaw tails which helps them make tight turns when flying. their bird like wings all together make them agile in short bursts, but they do terribly when it comes to distance flying

-they have an elongated front thumb, large hook claws on their wings, and their hind talons look like a bird's for their arboreal lifestyle!

Seawing head-cannon design!

they are usually very short. chubby and stream lined so they are built to swim. seawings actually can't lift their heads up very far upward because of their build. their wings are inspired by flying fish!

i gave them axolotl-like frills too instead of gills on their neck, as it just makes sense more, allowing them to breath in and out of water, but depending on hydration. :>

i kind of imagine them being low fliers with their tails dragging heavily, but swimming with them kind of like a ray?

Mudwings! ✦ generally inspired by water buffalo and crocodiles

for some headcannons - their horns can curl whichever way, but not up, as that would reveal them when they are hiding below the bog surface / mosses and small determined plant life grows on them bc they are ambush hunters who love relaxing, plus it helps them camouflauge!

Omg these look great!! Ur style is so cute and easy to digest! It’s so pretty!

I was only able to do a headshot tutorial, but if u want one I can make a fullbody one! And if u want one for a specific tribe! ^^

My style is a bit more semi-realistic so just be aware that you might not get it perfectly on the first try! And it’s great if you do, but don’t expect perfection, art is about making mistakes so you can look back and say “Im so much better than I was before”, progress is the best thing about art, but don’t try and force it. It’ll only give you burnout. Pace yourself and go at ur own pace! I’d love to see more of your art and progress in the future! ^^

Some of worldbuilding stuff I am not good at telling stories and properly explaining my lore so I'm just doing random things with text slapped on top of them so I won't forget my stuff

Amethyst A sand/sky hybrid being kept and raised in ravage, held hostage by Yucca(A sandwing trader) A snippy, aggressive dragon for her age who doesn't see much hope in her future getting out. Living in Ravage isnt an easy life for a child Easy to anger and violence she constantly is fighting to survive. She's kept by Yucca to be used as a fancy decoration who’s doing party tricks, playing music, singing songs, dancing with swords. The dragonete learned to do many things to entertain and to harm, knowing how to make shapes with her flames and smoke, but also knowing how to accidentally let a dancers sword slip. She only hopes one day she can be somewhere safe, away from the dragon she depends on so much, but fears more than anything. 

This character is for my friends WoF Au Divided Wings

Durian the rainwing cook! Part of the rainwing cooking department he’s one of many incharge of helping feed the kingdom by making dishes and and growing food. He grows Durians and jackfruits since they’re his favorite but anything with a strong smell he’ll eat right up. He loves his job helping feed his section of the forest even if it can be draining helping a huge team make tons of meals 3 times a day. But its all worth it to know he’s helping the kingdom.  This character is for my friends WoF Au Divided wings!

Bongo! This is my sky/mud wing hybrid Bongo! He's a big silent boy who just wants to do the right thing no matter what! He's apart of a Wings of Fire AU story called Divided wings that I'm working on with my friend group!

Rabbit and Fox

Rabbit: Born weak and sickly he’s never been able to do much. His heart and general chest is weak and runs poorly. He cannot fight and can barley work for long without suffering from lethargy, coughing fits, and in worse cases vomiting. Because of his sickness, he stays home and is constantly protected by his older brother. He feels bad about being such a burden to his brother but is happy to work on making fur clothing and fur-built wears to try and help them out. 

Fox: Being low ranking he cannot properly provide medical care for his little brother, the same condition that took their mother after she laid their eggs. He joins hunting parties and takes dangerous hunting jobs to provide and get what's needed to keep his brother healthy as their the only family they have. The stress makes him grumpy and not being strong and darker in color leads to constant ridicule which all stacks up over time.

Puffin!

Puffin! My icewing inspired by a blue-footed booby. She's low-class and snarky as all heck. She's a performer that's stuck in a loveless arranged marriage. She hates her mother-in-law and I might resign her cause her markings are wack!

Passionprowler!

Passionprowler! My nightwing empath who acts as a therapist! I wanted to really try to glam her up and make a nightwing who loves jewelry. Nightwings usually aren't big on wearing shiny things in the books or in Divided Wings so I wanted to subvert that with her!

Seal the Chubby Icewing  

She's a sweet little thing with a lot of spunk and cheer!!

Cassowary

I had a hard time deciding if I was gonna make a rainwing Cassowary male or female but I decided on making a male character since I don't have that many! He's a rainwing soldier and quite the grumpy pants but I love him!

Leopard

A seawing healer that's more than meets the eye. Despite his generally chill looks and personality, he's also easy to anger and cruel to those who annoy him.

Icewing Matchmaker

Mistral! He's a nice dad but he's a grumpy old man. In the AU I'm in we have it so Icewings have matchmakers to create mating pairs and I designed this grumpy boy for the job.

Bayou

My mudwing royal guard character whos a bit of a lonely girl. After a harsh winter took her family she spends her time protecting the royal family and feels motherly care for the royal heirs. I based her off a cool toad I saw and Im happy with how her design came out!
