art exam surprisingly made me more motivated to draw haaiiii have my wife

Redid some old art, the one on the bottom is the new one

I loved the most recent episode of Wild Life. I never would have guessed with all the ominous hints at what it was that it was running away from snails for ninety minutes lol but it was super fun to watch and a super creative concept! My favorite part was when Mumbo and Grian got cornered in the mineshaft and started freaking out because the snails were coming for them.

They’re gonna get you. They’re gonna get you. The snails are coming for you. Teehee.

some designs I doodled for a random au that I never ended up writing which I had come up with mainly an excuse to have the three of them attempt a bajillion piece puzzle and go absolutely insane trying to finish it (they lost like ten pieces)

The gist was: nosey journalist and local conspiracy theorist meet cryptid in the woods who turns out to have the most normal guy core personality. Like 60% of the au was just the three of them chilling and pursuing their interests and hobbies (which consist of being extremely unsettling and weird at people, and puzzles). Also Pearl’s shirt says Ekko Astral (it’s a band) because in the au she listens to them a lot.

hey guys who likes wild life *raises hand* I mean really likes it, loves it in fact *raises hand even higher, stands on tippy toes for how high I’m raising my hand* no I mean like loves it is obsessed with it it is your pride and joy *falls over from how high I am raising my hand, stands back up and goes to space with how high I’m raising my hand* yeah but can you prove it by spending 5 hours rendering grass to be almost entirely covered up? *me: bet*

First of all thank you boat boys discord and especially Risi for sponsoring this drawing lol and by sponsoring I mean loudly proclaiming the virtues of gribeans in my immediate vicinity. Anyway yeah they are meant to be standing in front of the bam hill with the wings blocking the top and the sun just peaking over them. Also the words on the explosion are lyrics from the song Don’t You Dare Forget the Sun by Get Scared which inspired the poses

Anyway as soon as I figure out how to draw cars it’s all over for you guys I will project my very specific vision that is essentially a combination of danger days good omens and back to the future onto you all I have so many thoughts!!!!! I will elaborate in the future, I will elaborate so much that you will say “Ian, shut up with your elaborating” and also I have an au based on session seven planned because the superpowers happened to coincide with an overly complex magic system I’ve been developing for about five months now lol slowly in the background. Also maybe an animatic if I can figure that out maybe possibly don’t hold me to that…? At least I know no one will take the song I’m planning to use in the meantime lol because the MCR and trafficblr fandom overlap is fairly small.

I’m really proud of this so I’m reblogging. Please give me validation not that I need it of course oh no I’m so handsome and smart and talented and humble I don’t need to ask for validation because I’m already the validest I’m only asking for it so that you guys can practice complimenting other, less confident people. Joel week day 4!!!!!! I made another silly one, just trying to make up for whatever angst fest my day three was lol. The prompt was headcannons, and I don’t know if I headcannon this so much as I just kinda wanted to draw this lol I was kinda out of ideas at this point. This is actually the last piece that I have pre-prepared, so idk what state the last two are going to be in.

I gave something warm and sensible since he’s gonna be flying around up high and all.

I wanted to try drawing without outlines, and I’m not sure how I feel about the final result, but I blame that on the fact that halfway through my pencil broke on me and I had to draw the rest with my finger, which was pain and suffering. Anyway, here it is (fanart of Grian)

His hands are in his pockets because I felt lazy, alright? You try to draw hands with no outline with your finger! Anyway, um, yeah. (Real eloquent there, Ian)

I loved watching build & go seek! Grian built such a crazy tower, and it was really funny watching everyone get started and then immediately go “um…how do you get inside?” So here’s a wip of Jimmy being confronted with the world generation glitch x mad scientist lair that is the cosmic tower

There is currently no dialogue, but the idea is that Jimmy and Grian both have a walkie-talkie so that they can communicate while the game is in progress, and Grian’s just Watching Jimmy wander around the tower, throwing himself at the barrier blocks until he finds the entrance, while teasing him the whole time.

Also, yes, I have interpreted Grian’s waffle very literally. I apologize for nothing.
