For my last post: this is the feral, aggressive, insane beast that is Winny. Now, I know Guinea pigs, I know they need to be in groups, but, she cannot. She has bitten me simply for existing. If I cough or move, she growl at me. And I do mean GROWLS. She is a feral beast compared to the three tame, loving, gentle sweet hearts that are Oreo, Dixie, and Waffles. Her nickname is also Squirrel because her fur makes her look like a grey squirrel. She is currently staring me down and growling at me, and is not appeased by the fresh fruits I have given her to snack on with her food dish
Why is it so hard to socialize guinea pigs? We have 4 now, we just got two more from a family member who couldn’t care for them. However, upon introduction of all the pigs to each other, the small grey one named Winny immediately became aggressive towards each larger pig without any apparent reason. Shortly after separation of the larger 3 from Winny, she charged at me and my family. Oreo and Dixie (our original 2 piggies) were very friendly and curious and only sniffed at her before the attacks, Winny has a bad history with Waffles, the other new pig we have. Waffles, Oreo, and Dixie all get along fine though.
I gave birth to two Brazilian chicken croquettes 🙂
Silly piggies :)
They are the latest guinea pigs I got since my other one passed away. But ironically, they're nothing alike.the brown one (which my mom says looks like a flying squirrel) prefers drinking water and pellets over the fresh veggies, and hay we give them; he also prefers laying and resting whenever I bring him to my room/bed. The white one (which my dad calls " El güero") is the opposite. He prefers the veggies and hay over the pellets and water; he also prefers running around the bed over staying still or resting whenever he's on my bed. I find it funny, amusing, and quite interesting that these little animals are able to express themselves and their personalities in such ways.
This one is from today. It's still a mystery what he was trying to tell me with his sounds.
My latest guinea pig. I still don't know why they get so excited by being in my bed.
a little willow sized disaster
it's been a while since I posted them
