all i'm saying is that Keith sat on the couch one time while Lance watched something like Bridgerton or Say Yes To The Dress and was like 'this shit sucks Lance, why're you watching this?' and then like five minutes later he'd be raging cause the Duke didn't want to marry Daphne or because the bride went like 30k over the budget. He's the classic boyfriend who says he doesn't like his partners tv shows, and then stands behind the couch for like thirty minutes to make sure he doesn't miss anything.
Keith's got a teddy. He's had it since he was eleven. He found it on the side of the road, and despite Shiro's protests, took it home with him. He fixed it up, patched it where there were holes and gave it at least three washes in soft detergant. Shiro wasn't impressed with it in the beginning but he liked it in the end. It was a hippo. Keith called it Mr. Hippo. He took it with him everywhere.
He got made fun of for it in the Garrison, his roommate saw it and told his friends, but Keith didn't care. Mr Hippo was his friend and he was going everywhere with him, no matter what. At sixteen years old, he still slept with the teddy and was unashamed of it. He couldn't sleep without it.
At seventeen years old, Keith flew away in a magical space lion and they had zero expectations of going back. Mr. Hippo was still in the shack. It was the main reason why he couldn't sleep on the castle, despite what Lance wanted to believe, and the main reason why he went to the training room and then passed out. If he couldn't sleep without it, then he could pass out without it.
Throughout the whole ordeal with Voltron, Keith didn't miss things on earth. He was exactly where he wanted to be, a pilot and in space and he had Shiro back. Everything was exactly where he wanted to be, where he was supposed to be. Keith wasn't made for life on Earth, he was made for the stars and now that he was here, he would never leave. But he did think about Mr. Hippo. He even thought about asking Lance to knit him a plushie to look like the hippo but he shut that down immediatly, unwilling to talk about his secret teddy that would no doubt be used to humanise him.
Shiro most likely wouldn't make fun of him for it, he probably would have smiled a little bitterly and reminisce on the life they used to have.
When Keith got back to earth, he visited the shack where he stayed for a year. Everything was the exact same as how he left it, conspiracy board up and string tied to it. Shiro's clothes that he arrived in lays on the ground in the makeshift bedroom, forgotten and deserving that position. He didn't dare to open the fridge, afraid of whatever would have formed in his oat milk. On Keith's bed, however, is something he could never forget.
Mr. Hippo.
A little dusty, but otherwise the same. Keith smiled softly and reached out to hold it gently, feeling something in him settle when he felt the familiar change of fabric on the back where he patched it with some pink curtains Shiro was throwing out. His stitching was bad then, and it had to be replaced many times over the years, but Mr. Hippo stayed the same. He stayed the same plushie Keith found on the side of the road, abandoned and left to rot in the dirt.
Keith brought him back to the Atlas where they were staying and Shiro did smile when he saw it. Lance didn't make fun of him for it when he brought it into the bed later on, and Keith slept better than he ever did.
Keith tells Lance that when they get back to earth, he'll build Lance a house by the ocean in Varadero with a gazebo.
Lance quietly suffers all night from the urge to tell Keith he loves him so much
When Keith is in a healing pod, Lance stresses so badly he knits. He crochets. Pidge has go drag him out of a space shop that sells yarn so many times that she doesnt even blink when he turns up with purple yarn.
Keith has so many hippos, bees and sharks that Lance has made for him.
He keeps them all on his bed.
They play stupid games on the tablets in the castle and Lance destroys Keith in all of them
Keith is a master at games on a console. Unless theyre horror and then he turns into a ball of terror and dread
Not much for public affection other than holding hands and a quick peck on the cheek, they've found other ways to assure each other in public
Keith says thinks to him in the galra tongue that leaves Krolia and Kolivan sharing a look each time without fail
Lance taps any part of Keith he can subtly three times to tell him he loves him
When Lance gets frustrated with himself, instead of pulling his hair out or biting his nails like he used to, Keith lets him braid his hair at least a thousand times
Lance got the big brother talk from Shiro
Funnily enough, so did Keith
Theyre so in love it physically makes Pidge sick but she loves them so when they smile softly at each other, she just turns away
When Keith leaves for BoM, they face time every chance they get. Most of the time Lance is in red and Keith always gets the faint feeling of happiness in the back of his head, along with a small flash of them both and a whisper of 'mine'.
One time Kolivan came in when Lance was telling Keith a story and took a picture of his face just to bully him because of how in love he was
Keiths background on his phone is lance smiling with his sister Veronica and the sun is in the background, with purple skies and sand in his hair from the beacj in Varadero
Lances background is Keith staring up at the sky, unaware hes being photographed, while a fire crackles between them.
(They were watching the sun set in the desert around where Keith stayes during The Year that Wont Be Spoken Of and get distracted so they wait for the sun rise)
Keith is little spoon while Lance is human body pillow for both Keith and Kosmo

Keith Kogane’s fingerless gloves.
I was wondering why he wears them so much. Is it just a fashion? Or something else.
I have an old injury in my right hand and it cause me to get arthritic like pain in the fingers and wrist. So I wear fingerless gloves or hand warmers to help with the pain. Maybe Keith has something similar. That he wears his gloves because of arthritis and the gloves support his hands and keeps them warm.
I know they’re not really designed for it but I just love the idea of him having old injuries that can affect him but he is able to over come them. Also Shiro being the only one who knows about it. So he brings Keith different types of gloves for him the change between.
Also sword fighting! I personally find it harder to do small things such as gripping a pen or pencil compared to gripping a handle as there’s different muscles involved. So the idea of Keith being able to grip a sword with his whole hand but struggling with a gun because of the trigger is so good. Him struggling with writing and typing but still able to slice enemies to death with his swords!!
Just think about it for a minute please.
