Yo, anon! Sorry, this one took a while. Im not sure if that's what you've been asking about, but I had a very fun idea I wanted to try so! Here we go. My sketching spree continues…

i think i love the characterization of kakashi as being horrendously down bad for iruka because of this:

the way he talks about it is soooooooo 🥺‼️and as much as i love making jokes about him being a pervert, those books are obviously so much more than erotica to him? they’re an outlet! and it breaks my heart a little but also mends it because despite all the horrible things that have happened to him, he’s still a hopeless romantic!

even if it’s not kkir like…..this man has never had the time or mental wherewithal to even explore love or crushes or relationships in a context outside of those books. he has a lifetimes worth of pent up romantic feelings in him. OBVIOUSLY he’s going all in once he finds someone he loves and the floodgates open. (+ who would be better to receive that love the unmarried kindhearted academy teacher who also never had the time to think about love because he was so devoted to the village? but i digress. i just love a good love story🧍🏻‍♀️)

which isn’t to say it doesn’t take work or that it comes naturally. he’s still a weirdo and a little avoidant and he doesn’t say the right things all the time but he’s a romantic at heart and he’s going to try his best!! (<- which we see happen as his relationship with iruka develops throughout the show and into boruto. btw. if u even care) (<- even if the context isn’t explicitly romantic, it’s still about growth and reconnection and that matters! (as i’ve probably said too many times before))
