Your gateway to endless inspiration
Alright so we just finished our drama performance and I am both exhausted and very awake so, before I pass out, I want to talk about the live action Snow White. I don’t love that Disney is making all of the live action remakes but I don’t really care about changing the race. I think diversity is very important and the fact that Disney is actually trying is nice. The one thing I will say is that I think they did the wrong thing for inclusivity in Snow White. I think what they should have done was make Snow White a person with albinism, which would still bring awareness to a population that doesn’t have a lot of awareness online. It would logically make sense because the whole “skin as white as snow” obviously but also she would probably wear a wig because, considering the time Snow White is set in, she would probably struggle with extreme discrimination and public pressure (especially since she is royalty). Also wigs in this time were considered a status symbol, which also works with the whole princess thing. Another thing is that rouge was a common way to get red lips in 16th century Germany, which is the time and place Snow White is set in. I know I’m definitely not the first person to think of this idea but honestly it makes a lot of sense. I just kinda needed to talk about this somewhere and I want to know people’s thoughts one this.
That poor horse is on its third reincarnation and they're still kicking it to death 🤦♀️
