Your gateway to endless inspiration
“You like….. Italian?”
“You mean….. Olive Garden?”
"GEORGE! IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!"
AU where Jessica is a type 3 level poltergeist which is tragic on one level because Lockwood can't see her, but she is powerful enough to both hear and see what is happening in the house and desperately wants Lockwood to be happy so every time he and Lucy are sharing a moment the lights dim and Careless Whisper starts playing.
Turns out Ghost Light is good for drawing
What's this? Cover art to shamelessly promote my Locklye enemies to lovers fic? Yes, yes it is.
Summary: Lockwood and Co. has always been a quaint little agency. They might not be very well known, but the trio of Anthony Lockwood, George Cubbins and Holly Munro have always worked together well, and nothing could ever disrupt the little family they've made. But when they get unexpectedly paired with an independent agent who's unusually good at pushing Lockwood's buttons, they realize things may not stay the same after all.
It's canonically stated that Lockwood doesn't like sugar in his tea. (I believe it was in the Creeping Shadow)
So I now have a firm belief that Lucy puts sugar in Lockwood’s tea whenever she's pissed at him. He might already know she's upset, so sometimes the sweet taste is not a surprise to him. But other times, when he's unaware of what she's feeling, he sips his tea and gets a surprise -oh f*ck I did something what did I do???- moment.
The amount of sugar also depends on the severity of what he did. Sometimes he doesn't even taste it, there's so little. Other times his tea is the consistency of mud.
One time in particular Lucy offered him his cup just as she always did. He took it with thanks and went to take a drink when he looked down.
There was no tea.
She handed him a cup of sugar.
Lockwood had never been more afraid in his life.
Been really excited for today!!
This is my first big bang and first proper digital art work. Thank you so much @sammi-phoenix for your awesome work. I had so much fun working with you.

We're excited to announce the first post-show Lockwood and Co Big Bang event!
A Big Bang teams up authors and artists to create new content for the fandom, and cheerleaders to help them along the way! Artists will create accompanying art for each fic, authors will write a fic of 5k words minimum (there are stages to this, more info to follow!) and cheerleaders will beta read and provide encouragement. We will also be accepting signups for reserve agents, who will be able to step in at the last minute should something happen and a team be left incomplete.
Signups will start on the 20th June and end on the 7th July, and we're looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
The link for signups can be found here (but the form won't be open before the 20th), and if you want more information about the event our rules and schedule will be posted asap, and asks are open if you have any immediate questions!!
The posting date for all the works is pencilled in to start on the one year anniversary of the show, 27th January, 2024.
We're so excited to finally be able to share this announcement with you. Feel free to reblog it to spread the word!
Signed, L&Co Big Bang 2023 mods :))
On June 1st We are going to trend Lockwood & Co on YouTube.
At the beginning of you day open the playlist, hit play and then hit Loop Playlist. You can mute the sound on top of the tabs depending on your browser. Check on it periodically to click the still watching button and that it's still on the playlist.
Make positive comments on the videos with #savelockwoodandco. Like and reply to other comments.
Finally- Ask YouTubers to react to watching Lockwood & Co.
Ask them the question- Would you Renew or Cancel?
The play list is just two videos-the trailer and the interview where they talk about future seasons. Together they are a little over 5 min; so on loop they will play about 5-6 times an hour.
Here is a list @beachblue37 has of some YouTube channels to message or message your own favorites.
@damimina for the idea. @savelockwoodandco

Please remember to BE POLITE. Emphasize the success of the show despite the lack of promotion by N. Mention the existence of cast, crew, and screenplays for the next few seasons. Throw in there some stats about the size and active nature of the fan base. Maybe compliment a show the service already has.
Good luck!
hey! just a quick update on what's going on for tumblr's lock nation. the petition links are here and here, please sign! at the time of writing one of them has 4000+ signs.
we have the google site and the padlet right here, as well as an open letter in the works!
articles have also been written by a few major agencies which is mad, a few linked down here! leisurebyte, forbes, wegotthiscovered, express, sportskeeda
furthermore, georgina stroud and jonathan have been interacting with posts on twitter that talk about passing onwards to another studio, which is a massively positive sign that they want to do something. it's super unclear how much control the strouds have over this, but they're on our side.
authors like rick riordan and eoin colfer have interacted with instagram posts about the cancellation, sharing their thoughts on how it shouldn't have been cancelled.
the hashtag savelockwoodandco has reached 10k tweets at the time of writing!
keep doing what you're doing. please. keep posting, hashtagging, sharing and spreading awareness. this isn't looking as bad as it did at the start.
i feel so bad for ruby. she left bridgerton to take the role of lucy.
i feel bad for cameron. this was his first official acting job and he did an incredible job.
i feel bad for ali. george karim was such a wonderful character and he was perfect for the role.
i feel bad for mr stroud. he wrote this incredible books and finally got it made into a show, a show so true to the books, it surprised even me that a book to show adaptation could be so well done. you could see how devastated he was in his post and i cried reading it.
i feel bad for complete fiction pictures. it was so awesome to see them interacting with the fans and you could tell they cared about this show.
i feel bad for everyone involved with the production of the show. all of their hard work to make the show amazing was much appreciated. i am so grateful for everything that went into the show from them and even though it won’t be continued, the season that we had was more than we could have ever hoped for.
i feel bad for us, the fans. we’ve spent months and even years in this fandom. the day that the teaser trailer dropped was one of the best days of my life. after years of living off of crumbs, sometimes not even, suddenly having an influx of new things to obsess over was such a great experience. and speaking of great experiences, having a community to talk about my favorite series has been one of the best things ever.
i am upset at netflix for not promoting our show and canceling it after not getting enough views. but even though we don’t get another season, i’m so glad i got to have this wonderful journey with you all. i love you guys.
"I disobeyed the first, most crucial rule.
I hung back at the doorway, hesitant and afraid."
"Tell her about the biscuit rule"
inspired by the “Lockwood & Co. but make it Disney” prompts from last spring.
Yet another thing I find absolutely wonderful about how Jonathan Stroud wrote Lucy Carlyle is how he betrays her with the narrative.
In The Screaming Staircase, at the start of her story, Lucy gives us an idea of how she wants to be perceived; unaffected, unbothered, unburdened by fear or particularly revelatory emotions. She drops horrifically painful realities about her childhood on us as if she were describing a dull gray rock she found on the ground. She tries very, very hard to school her emotions around Lockwood and George. And if she had been written by anyone else, she might have fallen prey to the "strong independent female character" tar pit of a stereotype.
But then along comes Annabel Ward's ghost.
And the narrative looks at Lucy and says "I know how you wish to present yourself, but that's not who you are."
And Lucy is repeatedly shown to be incredibly Sensitive in so many ways. She is under the influence of the ghost of Annie Ward, but the emotions are still partly Lucy's. And most of the time she has the emotional intelligence to differentiate which feelings are hers and which ones are Annie's, and where they overlap. She chokes up with empathy on multiple occasions in the process of uncovering what happened to Annie Ward. She becomes enflamed with the desire for justice for someone who was murdered decades before she was born. She's shown that by her very nature, her emotions are her strength and not her weakness. Because she has a narrative that loves her and isn't lazy about her. She is the narrator and she tells us who she is, but the narrative shows her and us who she really is.
First time trying digital art, and it's Lockwood and Co!

Yesterday I finally started reading "Lockwood and Co". I’m glad I had the time. This book keeps me sane at this point in my life ಥ‿ಥ
(Sorry if this isn't coherent, I started watching it like, the second it was released, went to bed around 1 in the morning and only just woke up now) (its 10 in the morning)
I WAS RIGHT. IT WAS BLOODY STUNNING.
The one bit that I was a bit upset with about it being different from the books is when Lucy has Skully look in the mirror, because the whole 'Oh no, something happened to him and now he won't talk' thing happens in the last book, so I'm just wondering how they're going to make that work in the next season or two.
I'm also really happy that Lockwood and Lucy didn't kiss, because they don't in the books, and it's a big part of their character development.
IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SHOW AND I CAN'T WAIT TO REWATCH IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
A question for the people:
HOLY CRAP. LOCKWOOD & CO COMES OUT ON FRIDAY.
