i like to think when rei could, her and shoto would play games together and one of those games were mario party. shoto is really good at it now. people think it's luck but he just played a lot with his mom and on his own and now it's a comfort for him.

shoto will get like, three stars in one turn and people will say it's luck and he's like No i just played with my mom :)

the dekusquad still play with him despite losing every single time. they just like seeing him have fun

I think bkdk and tgchk shippers would be much happier if they searched for media that was explicitly queer with explicitly queer relationships.

Hori didn't promise anything romantic between tgchk or bkdk, he just.. told a story. He was telling a story. And just because he made izch implied at the end doesn't mean he queerbaited anyone. in writing his story he didn't go out of his way to draw in a queer audience and then throw them under the bus. He was just telling a story

And I think a lot of people are upset right now because they searched for explicitly queer relationships in a media that was never going to deliver that

Mha isn't necessarily a queer story. It has dynamics that can be read as queer and queer characters, but mha itself at the end of the day isn't a queer story — it just has a large queer audience and that doesn't necessarily make it queerbait.

just some transmasc toga propaganda under the cut if anybody's curious about my thought process. if you don't agree please don't like.. be mean lol. headcanons are for fun after all. as a warning, i use he/him for toga under the cut because im writing this under the impression she's a trans boy

toga internalizes the idea of being Normal and especially the idea of being a normal Girl a lot. of course this is due to his upbringing and being forced to mask his urges for blood, but i think it's interesting to also think of toga also suppressing the idea that he's actually a guy

and the idea of him acting really hyperfeminine and insisting that he's a normal girl as a last-ditch effort to pretend that the transness isn't there is really interesting to me (obviously not to say women or trans dudes just can't be feminine or like feminine things!! but a lot of trans dudes tend to have phases where they act really feminine and insist that they're a woman before accepting their identity and coming out)

toga tends to have, for lack of a better term, a surface level understanding of what girls like. he feels like he Has to like cute things and romance and stuff to feel like a Normal Girl. he tends to be very jealous of ochako and what she has and ochako is normally portrayed as pretty feminine, and of course everything else comes into play obviously, their upbringings and such, but he also tends to fixate on how ochako is a Girl. like he supposedly is. he fixates on how they're both girls and how they should like romance and cute things because They're Both Girls. Right? And it makes me think. Huh. Are you projecting maybe.

I have some more thoughts but these are the huge ones, but I also have thoughts about how he's so pained about being unable to become the league and twice in particular past the obvious reasons. Yeah. I just wanted to put this out into the world because I've been getting really into trans boy toga lately.

i think as a pro hero, shoto is also a detective that works a lot with cases involving missing/abused/hurt children. sometimes these cases get really rough and hard for him and izuku tries his best to always be a source of warmth and safety for shoto
