okay, a little lotta bit angsty. but who doesn’t like hurt sanji?? And in an environment where he can’t act hurt (infer all you’d like, your getting nothing outta me >:) ) means for some serious character development. And inflection galore too. Also, hurt sanji is like everyone’s cup of tea, so I don’t see why we wouldn’t kill of the bitch if he’s already dead canonically.

I like One Piece so much that even the slightest mention of it in a video I was watching made me start ecstatically pointing at the screen but it was awkwardly silent because it was like 2am and I couldn’t wake anyone up.
I noticed that the other day that all of my Luffy figures have stitches on his hat and I honestly find that adorable.
Like even on the really small ones I have they have those stitches. I don’t think I’ve even seen them shown in the anime (unless I just haven’t paid that much attention to his hat) but it’s such a surprising detail to see on the figures nonetheless.
I have $4.20 to my name and my crunchyroll subscription decided to kill itself so now I can’t watch One Piece until tomorrow afternoon.
I think it’s reasonable enough for me to say that I’m killing myself.
Considering Luffy very clearly has a heavy obsession with beetles, I like to imagine that the only thing that he takes the time to read would be any kind of factual books about beetles.
Like he wouldn’t take in actual important information that people feed him but he’d happily read about beetles.
Like he looks so proud of himself here, man. He could probably start listing off about a hundred facts about the certain species he just caught. You can’t tell me that he isn’t autistic. This is his hyperfixation. Let him yap!!!

My Girl
I’m writing this at 1am because I’m feral BUT i digress…
Headcanons for what type of woman Castor and Pollux (because @fanaticsnail said those are their names and yes) would have as a partner
So for Pollux I imagine his girl would absolutely be That Bitch™️ and in the most iconic way. The hair is right, the fit is tight (in uniform if she’s a marine, and casual if she isn’t/is and is on leave). She’s a gossip, a tease, and dishes it out to her man as good as he dishes it out to others. These two are absolute chaos gremlins together. They will show up unannounced to Castor’s place and make a huge mess in the kitchen before he convinces them to not try to cook when they can’t. They end up sipping wine at his dining table while he makes dinner for them all. This woman would be fiercely protective of her loved ones and what they stand for, the type to fight tooth and nail, to claw and scratch and yell to be with her man. I think together they would also be able to find that vulnerability with each other, and in private moments they can enjoy simple things just as much as goofing off and being little shits. Pollux would worship in the way of offering himself up as of to a deity, willing to let her flames consume him in sweet oblivion. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to him.
Now for Castor, my sweet beloved boy. I apologize for any projecting that might happen here, he has my heart rn. I think he’d be with another marine, and his woman would be the stalwart lover, shouldering burdens with him without question. She’s the type that people say is just like him in public, reserved, collected, maayybeee sometimes there’s a stick up her ass. She sticks to her guns and won’t let people push her around about it though. She has asked Castor on multiple occasions (five) if he wants her to beat up Pollux for making fun of him, and has followed through (once) ((she suplexed him through a table at dinner and Castor just sat there with wide eyes while Pollux’s girl cackled and recorded the whole thing on den den)). Castor would be one hundred percent soft for her, the type to gruffly respond “yes ma’am, of course maam” when she’s trying her hardest to be strong and give commands even if she’s hurting. This man worships the ground she walks on and would do anything for her in such a like sworn knight protector way, not because she’s a woman, because he loves her.
Anyway that’s my inane rambling. Please please please please add more hcs, I crave The Content

I found you bc of MDZS a while ago and stayed bc of your beautiful artstyle. I had no idea TYK existed but your fanart does make me curious, mind if I ask why do you like it?
Thank you for your question! You asked about Tyk, but I'll also be talking about Qi Ye since Tyk is it's sequel.
To simplify, I tend to divide media I like in two categories: it's message driven story or character driven story.
The first one is like a book or movie that influenced you greatly but you never felt like illustrating it or searching for any additional fan content. The message is more important than characters translating it.
(For example, I really love "Perfect Blue" by Satoshi Kon, but for me it's not just Mima's story, but a process of a young woman figuring out her struggles and fears in general, everyone can be on Mima's place).
The second category, it's all about characters. They are the main attention and main driver of the story. I wouldn't really be interested in a story if it wasn't about That certain character I'm emotionally attached to.
Af for Qi Ye and Tian Ya Ke... It's a bit of both?
In these dilogy main characters are secondary characters of their own stories, which should've made them closer to being concepts carrying a certain message rather than being individuals. But that's not the case! They do have personalities! And I'm more than interested in them!
And the way characters themselves see more in each other is so poetic and romantic...
In tyk (and qi ye), if main characters didn't meet, they still would've been a part of bigger story, playing their roles and translating author's message. But they happened to meet by chance and become individuals to each other
Another catching thing about these novels is that a lot of moments are left unspoken. I probably would've liked to see them (the novels themselves are short), but imagining it myself is challenging in a good way.
The same actually goes for mdzs XD, my fav mdzs works are those that plays around evens that weren't shown in the novel.
Btw. the absence of certain scenes might even be for the better because it has a potential to make us closer to those characters who also haven't witnessed them

Well, drawing a scene is actually completely different from what I was doing previously… you need to think about facial expressions, poses, background - and all that present an interesting challenge. I either level up or die trying 🤣
What if..... Luffy and Law would have grown up together?
I think on Au where Corazon survive and they helped to hide by Sengoku. Coincidentally on Luffy Island (Garp suggessted that xd)
The real reason Luffy has the gum gum fruit is so that he has enough arm to hug all his friends. True story, Oda told me himself.
