Your gateway to endless inspiration
The Mind Versus The Heart :Just starting Collage, Katie (Pidge) Holt just wants to focus on her studies and get good grades. She does not want some super tall, annoying, loudmouth, busybody, over-dramatic . . . handsome, funny, kind . . . NO he is nothing but a nuisance, trying to get her out of her comfort zone of robots, baggy sweaters, text books, and computers. Right?
Mi Renia: When Lance calls Pidge a nickname in Spanish, finds out the girl doesn't know any of the langue, and uses it to his advantage. A fluffy mess because I love these two and goddamn-it I want more.
The Lanterns: There was a myth in the land of Altea. The myth of a special flower grown from a drop of quintessence that fell from the sky. This flower was told to have unparalleled healing abilities. This is simply the tale of a princess, born of that flower and the adventure she set out on.
Adore: They do adore each other, don't they? (Based off of, and uses, the Song I Do Adore.)
This Stings: It's supposed to be a simple stop, grab crystals, then leave sort of mission. In fact the planet was adorable. But of course, when it’s them, something bad has to happen. So of course, Keith gets stung by some weird monkey-scorpion thing. And of course, it just has to be Lance he latches onto when he wakes up. Fuck.
From Slave To Paladin: Just another Galra ship. Just another collection of data mission. But when Lance finds a slave in the cell block, it turns out to be much more than just an everyday mission.
Mistaken Identity: One gorgeous planet. One Team Voltron. One fairy queen. One old-ass story about some god. Mix together well, and let simmer at panic mode. And ta-da, a big fucking dish of Mistakes. (Sort-of inspired by a fic I read a while ago. The Loverboy Trials.)
Sleepy Keith + Sleepy Lance = Gay Shit: It's been a long few days, and our children just need to sleep. Unfortunately, they have so much adrenaline in their veins that they need to do something to calm down first. Allura knows exactly what to do, and pulls up a movie for them all to watch in the Rec-Room. Lance can sleep anywhere, and so can Keith
Visiting family over the summer be like
Haven't drawn my favorite girl in a while, but I'm rewatching VLD with my sister and wanted to try again, so here! Pidge!
just realized that somehow both my otps embody bi-ace solidarity according to my headcanons
I have headcanons
They truly are a lion pride!
Pidge: Are you seeing somebody?
Lance: *screaming internally*
Lance: Why? Are you interested?
Pidge: No, I just think it would help if you saw a therapist or something
This . . . this might be my favorite thing I've ever written. Well, of the things I've posted online, that is. I just . . . the music and the fluff and the cultural and synesthesia undertones, and the trust, and the singing . . . I'm actually really happy with how this turned out, which is a little unusual. I'm not sure if it'll be quite as heartwarming for other people, but hopefully you'll enjoy it anyway.
"Sometimes I wonder if, when you look at me, you wish you were seeing her."
"I see you, Pidge. And you're exactly who I want to see."
Here are some Plance kisses I doodled!
(and now the last one, but with glasses:)
I'm an asexual Plance shipper and a fan of Miraculous Ladybug. The pundit should declare me the best punster on the planet, but all my puns are either punbearable or so punassuming that no one even notices them.
I've been drafting a Plance animatic for . . . months . . . and my drawing style has gone through at least three iterations, plus the sketchy first draft:
I think I've finally found the one I'll stick with, though:
Now I just have to redraw all the frames in this style
Yayyyyy
Look me in the eyes and tell me that Plance and "Princess and the Frog" don't have almost exactly the same character dynamic
The evolution of Lance and Pidge's relationship, told through a series of drabbles.
You can't call someone family until you go stargazing with them.
On second thought, I like yours better.
Pidge: Well, looks like the world is in trouble again.
Lance: Ah, yet again. What a tragedy that our evening is booked. *shoots Pidge a meaningful glare*.
Pidge: *grabs her super suit* Lance...
Lance: I know, I know, world first. *pulls on his super suit* But I’m still going to complain anyway. I mean, it took me two months to get you to agree to something romantic! Two months! I feel like the supervillains could wait a couple more hours to unleash hell on us, right?
Pidge: If supervillains planned their evil schemes around your convenience, they’d never get anything done. That’s why they don’t do it. I’m sure they’ve considered it, of course, it just didn’t fit in with their schedule.
(they run off into the distance, still bickering and bantering, their voices fading as they get further away)
Lance: Well, duh, but I think one friendly exception isn’t much to ask.
Pidge: From a supervillain?
Lance: Fair, but I’m still bitter. Two months of begging!
Pidge: Begging and blackmailing. Don’t forget blackmailing.
Lance: Of course! What’s love without a little blackmail?
I saw this, and . . .
I feel like we can all agree that Pidge would be the one trying to find her paladin armour for something, and Lance would be the one standing in the background whining "but you promised you'd have dinner with me! I had candles and music planned and everything! How could you do this to me?"

Since I haven't been feeling very inspired in the Plance art area lately, I decided to post my first Plance drawing, which I did back when all I could do in terms of digital art was trace screenshots. Oh, and I used fancy blending modes instead of figuring out the colors myself.
Objectively, it probably looks better than anything I drew myself, but I still don't like it because it doesn't look like MY art, it just looks likes random Plance art. Oh well, here we go.
Holy cow, this is a HUGE file, what was past me THINKING?!
Aaaand I'm back to writing short fluffy pieces. Oh well. I have an eight-chapter fic full of pining planned, so um, give me some credit?
Here ya go.
The consensus was pretty much “Both options are cute, but the second option is better”.
This. This is why I love Plance and the garden and gardeners and everything about this ship. Because how many ships can you think of where the fans would say, “Yeah, flirting is great, but I prefer it when the characters respect each other and their friendship”?
Alright, here's a survey question for my fellow Plance shippers. Which plot thread do you prefer:
Lance starts flirting with Pidge as he slowly realizes his feelings for her, and she finds it extraordinarily confusing
or
Lance never flirts with Pidge, because he sees her as a friend instead of just a girl, which highlights how unique their relationship is to him

Greetings, I am here to water thy Plance
I personally don't see the appeal of dances, but I gotta admit, dancing has some great potential for cool shots.
I think I can now add 'hard light' to my list of blending modes I can use comfortably. (Before this, the only entries on that list were multiply, color dodge, and luminosity. I'm not good with blending modes, ok?)
I think I forgot to post this when I finished it, so here you go.
I realized halfway through writing this that parts of it are incredibly cheesy. Then I realized that pretty much everything I've posted is cheesy. Then I decided that I'm okay with that, because I need some cheesiness in my life. So here, have some cheesy fluff (and also some angst)!
