I made a darkship blog for the sake of dumping my dark scenarios, but it's also open for people to submit their own ideas too! Strictly MDNI (minors do not interact) though, unlike this account, just to make that known. Hi proship darkshippers who struggle with moral OCD, just wanted to remind you that your fictional ships and interests do NOT make you a bad person what-so-ever. You are still a good person and the fact you don't go out of your way to harass people over their own fictional interests, the fact you don't wish harm on real people, is just one of many reasons why you ARE in fact a good person! It's okay to like dark media, it's okay to want to explore said media through art and writing and etc, your interest in these fictional ideas does not reflect your morals in real life situations. Repeat after me: You aren't harming anyone, you are not hurting any real, living person, by being interested in dark media. It's okay, you're okay, I promise. <3

First of all, for those of you who didn't know, I don't ship anything besides mine and others selfships, I am just absolutely for every ship existing and being supported. Second of all any dark fictional concepts I enjoy is a reflection of my OWN trauma in some way or another and it helps me process and cope, though darkshipping is still valid even if it isn't for the sake of coping. Third of all I'm not attracted to real people like at all so getting with a man or anyone IRL is highly unlikely. Fourth of all trauma can't be gatekept, when people enjoy fictional darkships or dark scenarios I can assure you they more than likely are not sitting here like 'oh yeah this is this one persons trauma, I will incorporate it into a ship for the sole purpose of romanticizing this said persons trauma' like that just doesn't happen. Either they're coping with their OWN trauma or just find it interesting to explore in fiction. Fifth of all it's absolutely okay to hate or dislike me but interacting with me at all is breaking your own boundaries, boundaries have to be fulfilled by both parties and if you break your own boundary that isn't my fault. Sixth of all this sounds quite personal and emotional so I hope you have a good day and learn to respect your own boundaries so you don't cause yourself and anyone else any unnecessary distress. now, this may be hard to get, but teens have been selfshipping since the birth of fandom and probably longer.

like idk he broke into my house and told me "hi sorry youre hopelessly in love with me now." and proceeded to burrow into my skull, he lives in my brain now. surely theres worse things out there than some teenager having a crush on a flower.

There's a lot of things i noticed on the anti side of selfshipping, where they find it disgusting for a minor to selfship with another minor character but they find it completely acceptable when said minor selfships with an adult character, and there have been plenty of instances of an adult calling a minor a pedo for selfshipping with a character that is, in fact, their age 😭 People of all age groups take up fandom and selfship spaces, I'm not sure where people got the idea that these spaces were only ever filled with adults anyways. Selfshipping itself has been a thing before fandoms and discourse and labels and whatever else, but it did used to be frowned upon for being considered 'weird and unconventional', proshippers are the ones who went 'hey, this is harmless, let people have their fun.' (naturally, as this is the proship mindset). Anyways anon you have your fun and enjoy your selfships and f/os however you want, you are supported and accepted!

For the pro-ship self-shippers who equally enjoy darkships and self-shipping, imagine your f/o making content of your favorite darkships with you as a way to show their support! Whether or not they're the artistically creative type, imagine your f/o still putting in the effort to try. Fics, art, blurbs, edits, roleplay, etc, they'd love to indulge in your interests with you, as a way to get closer with you and as a way to show that they're more than content with the fact that you find entertainment and/or comfort in these fictional scenarios. They think you are SO creative and feel so lucky to be with someone who has such an interesting and creative mind! Oh and yes, this also pertains to if those dark scenarios include them directly!

When I feel better, I was thinking about starting some more self-ship centered posts like imagines and maybe reblog games if anyone is interested. All for proselfshippers of course! And still post general proship positivity and encouragement while I'm at it. I also draw and have improved a lot over the years so, BUT if this doesn't interest you guys on this blog I'll make a separate blog instead :) !

I'm actually thriving with Love and DeepSpace, Caleb is so perfect ahhh <3 He was definitely made for the ones who prefer just a pinch 🤏🏻 of darker romance. But it also opened my eyes a little about just how sensitive anti's morals are? There are so many Love and DeepSpace players who can't enjoy Caleb's character AT ALL because he's a little bit possessive and obsessive, he borders on yandere but he really doesn't either? He won't kill just any regular person, he will really only kill/hurt people who harm MC. So even if they WERE ogling at her, that wouldn't prompt him to kill them, but he has many of the other yandere traits! And also, theyre childhood friends, who seemed to have a sort've brotherly-sisterly bond. Caleb never thought of it that way but he always kept his feelings hidden for the sake of making her happy! Though his character runs much, much deeper than that, the fandom makes it where you have to validate enjoying Caleb's character or else you're a freak weirdo who likes pseudo-incest, you do NOT need to validate enjoying his character omg 😭!! And so what if they do enjoy making them have a step-sibling bond while he's a love interest, I think of it that way sometimes myself, and I self-ship with him too 😭 People will act like if you can't 'validate' liking him based on their morals then you're p0rn addicted and an awful person, no!! There's so many sweet moments with him too, I ADORE all the sappy, romantic, tender and sweet moments, just because he's abit of a darker character, or just because he's a character whose much easier to use for darker dynamics, doesn't mean anything omgg 😭 Someone said 'So many people started playing the game because of the fact Caleb was like a brotherly figure who turned into a L/I and that's really concerning' no it isn't 😭 as long as those people aren't participating in those things IRL there is no issue, let them enjoy their fictional interests. There are FAR worse characters in media, in otome games in general, and no that doesn't mean you should bash those characters or their enjoyers, but it should open your eyes about just how common and OKAY it is to see people put their fictional interests into practice in their writing and art.

Proship has always been and will always be valid! Proshipping existed well before the discourse became a thing! Back when people shipped sebaciel without batting an eye and read whatever the hell they wanted without the fear of being a 'bad person'. When everyone knew that finding these topics interesting in fiction didn't correlate to their views irl. When people knew to block what they didn't like, and didn't threaten real people over their own dislikes. These things have always existed in fandom spaces, and though it's valid to hate certain dynamics and topics in fiction it doesn't mean anyone deserves to be threatened and harassed if they do like those fictional ideas! ive truly always wondered how antis could say that proshipping is bad and it reflects your morals yet agree that if, for say, youre a lesbian yet you like a fictional character that is a male, then that doesnt inherently reflect your sexuality, does that make sense? its the same concept 😭
