Equestria Girls: Better Together Season 2 “Run to Break Free”
For the most part, I really enjoyed this music video. The story is fun and it captures Rainbow Dah’s character super well. Not much that we didn’t already know, but at the end of it we see her do a sonic rainboom!! This is amazing?? And if I’m not mistaken, it’s the first time we’ve seen her do this in Equestria Girls
I have a confession to make though. I didn’t like the song. The lyrics ring true, the melody is fun, but the production falls flat for me. When you look at other songs for Rainbow (such as Awesome as I Wanna Be, a personal fav) they are all more up-beat with heavier drums and stronger vocals. The way the song began made a lot of sense for the music video, because it was Rainbow reflecting on an environment that made her feel dull and bored. But after the switch to her running, I would have loved to see a more dramatic kick up to the song. But that’s just how I feel about it. 🤷🏻♂️

Do y’all see the irony of this scene? It genuinely had me giggling. Because in S4 E6 of FiM “Power Ponies”, Pinkie Pie has the power of super speed due to getting sucked into a book where she becomes the fictional character Filly Second. But in Equestria Girls, Rainbowdash gains the power of super speed during Equestria Girl: Legend of Everfree. During the short “Movie Magic”, Rainbowdash (with the power of super speed, in case you forgot) gets stuck next to Pinkie Pie, while dressed as Filly Second, who has the power of super speed. It’s such a cool detail between FiM and Equestria Girls and it’s one of those things you have to be in the know to know, and I know so I think it’s great.
Personally not a bubbledash enjoyer, but omg poly ponies????? Poly ponies>>>>>

tidbids; Twilight had some leftover heritage batpony genes, which became present after becoming an alicorn, she also got a lot taller (before she was about dash's height), rainbow power and holding the princess' magic gave her the yellow streaks and glowy ends Rarity is part crystal pony, so she has a crystal horn- allowing for very precise magic. Fluttershy has lingering traits of her time as a vampire bat AJ has several scars from working on the farm Rainbow has some stunt-injuries, and one lightning-strike scar. Her rainbow colours are super rare, so she likes to show them off. Pinkie is a miniature pony, dinky little thing. 90% of her jewellery is edible.

Apple Slice and Fizzy Apple Cider
(Applejack x Rainbow Dash)
Fizz and Slice are twins. Fizz is just like her mama AJ, content on the farm, while Slice is more like their mom RD, jealous of Fizz's wings and wants nothing more than to be a Wonderbolt. They compete over basically everything, even though their parents say competing all the time gets you nowhere, but they're just kids, they'll figure it out eventually.
AJ and RD are butch transfemme lesbians and Slice is non binary

silly gay horses redesigns 👐 I'm honestly a bit rusty at drawing ponies but I do like how the came out!
I also got bonus Flutterbat because I love her sm 😭
but my 2023 designs are actually redrawn from my old designs I did in 2020! I didn't change a lot of stuff since a genuinely still like them but I do feel like I improved in some aspects :)
I'm not the best at designing characters but it can be fun ^^
