In honour of summer, Fight Club pool/beach headcanons:

Tyler tries all of the water slides, even the ones for children.

Narrator and Tyler do swim races. Tyler wins most of the time. Marla, unaware, just takes Narrator as a sporty guy.

Marla and Narrator bond over hating the noisy children who splash others. Tyler is one of them.

Tyler and Narrator wrestle and try to push each other under the water. They also spray each other with water guns, and accidentally get Marla wet. She's not happy about it.

All three of them love laying on inflatables while smoking and sipping a little drink. Marla eventually falls asleep, Tyler becomes unresponsive, and Narrator is left to pout and rethink his life.

Marla loves wearing sunglasses and little see-through sundresses over her bikini. Her nails and toenails are painted black. She also has a little umbrella for the sun because she does NOT want to tan. She thinks looking like a corpse suits her way more.

Narrator gets a sunburn because he thought not wearing sunscreen would impress Tyler. Tyler is not impressed. Marla scolds him and calls him an idiot.

Tyler builds a sandcastle. It's the most impressive thing anyone has ever seen. He completely destroys it some time later, followed by a philosophy lesson.

I’m tired of having to pretend that Razor from G3nshin isn’t dateable. That boy is adorable and I love him very much. Get that boy a boyfriend!

(Also I like to imagine him and Cyno as brothers who mayhaps kiss a lil, just maybe—)

What I mean when I do not control the hyperfixation.

Starting to think it's just straight up incorrect analysis to view terfs as even viewing trans women as men, and that they hate trans women for their masculinity (and by extention being characterized by hatred for men and masculinity). Instead, i think you have to view their comments on trans women and their bodies as intentionally and forcefully masculinizing a woman, excluding her from womanhood for not fitting into white women's beauty and body standards. Many people have noted that this is similair to how black women are historically and today masculinized in society, and indeed terfs commonly attack women of color for similair things. If it is about hating men it's noticable that they don't talk about men the same way, "men" are only ever a threat if she's a woman. Any other man is allowed to be an ally to the terf movement if he's "protecting women" (by excluding certain types of woman). It's misogyny, it's transmisogyny, everything about this structurally replicates the ways women are mistreated by society generally, and excluded from femininity, just lazerfocused on targeting trans women.
