Okay I know it's been a week but here it is! I had this storyboarded for a while but kept putting off cleaning it up (the random art block struck...) Sorry this took a while to get out!!

This was legitimately one of the most fun things I've animated, I'm so glad this was spawned because of this silly au.

Also yes I'm working on the beat for this, but I might not post it for a while because I wanna refine it a lot. I've never composed a beat for anything before so uh yeah. Probably going to post some other things in the meanwhile though!

I can't get over just how fun this was to animate. Ford raging that he's losing to a puppet (who is also his twin brother) in a rap battle. is just. peak silly. I love this

Also I ran out of steam towards the end of cleaning it up so Ford's looking kinda janky and and off model sometimes whoops

Ford, buddy. LOOK AT HIM!! He'a just a little guy waving his lil hand! How are you even this mad!! (He feels nothing but rage at this moment). Also funny how Ford's hatred of Dr Pine is almost comparable to Stan and Gideon (except for the fact that one is notably more one sided lol). Ford sees Dr Pine as a mockery of what he does, and perhaps even sees Dr Pine as a better version of himself (having one PHD than Ford, being liked by the public as a scientist, being close to Stan, etc). Whch is somewhat similar to why Stan hated Gideon if I remember correctly?? This was originally just a silly idea I had but does it actually make some sense or am I grasping at straws???

^ @xirine13 (sorry for the @!) If I had a nickel for everytime I drew Ford in this au behind bars for puppet harrassment, I'd be two nickels richer which isn't a lot, but it's hysterical that it happened twice

This is HILARIOUS!! HE'S SO MAD IN THE MUGSHOT PFFT This is absolutely the funniest thing to come out of this au by far, I just love how ENRAGED Ford is (all while contrasted by the delightfully cartoony frame)

Also I was thinking about this post and the fact that Ford was sitting behind construction paper bars while feeling zero remorse and Fiddleford was explaining things to the head director who was just roaring with laughter is SO RIDICULOUS I LOVE IT

Poppy Avenue’s most violent neighbor, Dr. Stanford Pines

The long awaited Poppy Avenue mugshot! I realized that I started drawing this, and just never finished, and never ended up showing the world one of the funniest things I’ve ever drawn. Ford’s dumb enraged face brings me so much joy.

Stanley is given this picture after the strangling incident and he has to lay down right there in the middle of the studio, clutching his sides and sobbing with laughter. It’s framed on his desk, and one of his most prized possessions. The fact that they got Ford to hold the sign is his favorite part.

And for your lovely imaginations my darlings, please imagine Dipper and Mabel FINDING this picture years later, like how they found all of Stan’s fake IDs and whatnot, and being flabbergasted that their mild mannered Grunkle Ford, a man who chases butterfly anomalies for fun, was charged for attempted puppet-cide.

No idea where they spawned from but here they are! Agnes isn't typically a name I'd use but it somehow fits them?? Might just be me.

I've never had to draw pentagons with any real frequency, as you can imagine, and the jabot tie certianly wasn't any more forgiving (I mean they don't even have necks! How would it even stay up??) (well I do suppose glue is always an option..)

Either way! This was still super fun to design and I might even draw them again if I feel like it.

Ford both cherishes and despises the fact that Stan knows him so well, seeing as how it can easily be used against him. He just CANNOT stand that puppet or his voice and it's absolutely hilarious.

Even more so when considering that he's a well respected researcher at this point in the AU, yet will go out of his way to show his contempt for a puppet from a kids show.

Have I mentioned how much I adore this AU aghskjskdkj (also once again, the alts include the dialogue in them!)

Ford would probably drop whatever he's doing to join Tate everytime he would be watching Poppy Avenue (Fiddleford has to make Ford leave before the segment Science Time with Dr Pine comes on though).

also I loved the logo for Poppy Avenue that @thedarkermelody created so much and I just had to draw it somewhere!

I've never really been into AUs for anything before, but Science Time with Dr Pine HAS MY HEART, I just NEEDED to draw some of these.

Will definitely be sketching more of your amazing posts, @aroace-get-out-of-my-face (hope you don't mind the tag!) I loved reading them so much oughh
