Your gateway to endless inspiration
I never did
Change: A process through which something becomes different
With growth comes along change
I grew, yet I remain the same.
Maybe it’s the nostalgia evoking me, an attachment grasping me in what seems to be the past
‘’move on’’ How can I leave what tended to structure me?
In a manner I am an adult, yet a sense of maturity is still to be held
I’m taller!, I’ve grown! Somehow a child reminisces within me, a child which Iv not abandoned, he isn’t what I used to be, he is what I am, maybe not fully but an essence still floats within me, and I carry it wherever I go.
I have so much to say But the world might decay Fear hurts not as much as regret So I sharpen my sword ready to strike For my words are a weapon filled with might I look into the eyes of those souls Who were taught to keep their words behold Reassurance floods as for me I'm bold This is a new chance For righteousness to breed and enhance Something weighs on my shoulder It burns like ice yet even colder So I release Finally feeling relief This wasn't a war This was for peace For what is most valuable to me My morals that run glee So speak up for what you believe You might feel relief
Idealism is a disease
Once it enters your system it feeds off of your mistakes
It spreads like a wildfire making you quake
Symptom after symptom you start to hallucinate
A thought becomes a reality
There’s no real definition of actuality
All you can do is live in brutality
And endure that cruelty
There’s no one to blame but that little voice in your head
Making you wish on sweet death
Whispering to you as if it was your own closest friend
The doctors say there’s a cure
One that’s pure
But there’s a price
First you have to apologize
To the body you forced to idealize
A vulnerable state of you past mistakes
Drowning you in a lake
The water reflects an image of grief and regret
As it overwhelms you slowly you start to forget
A cold breeze of acceptance washes all over you
A warm feeling is new
A smile takes over you
Now you are cured.
this poem speaks about my struggles with anxiety and perfectionism. I hope you find a sense of comfort in it
Make 2021 the year where you save yourself.
You need to make yourself a priority. you should care about others but you don't need to risk your sanity for that.
You need to be away from people who expect but don't care about your expectations and needs.
Make 2021 about you, and I don't wanna sound selfish but you can't really honestly care about anyone if cannot keep yourself sane and alive.
Question everything, talk, communicate, and see if there's any reciprocation.
Have compassion for others, but first for yourself.
Living with yourself, knowing yourself, accepting your flaws will bring you closer to yourself, no kidding that shit is hard, omg so hard.
But you gotta LIVE for YOURSELF.
LIFE IS SUPER SHORT.
people are dying, people are dying without getting to do their favourite thing, without saying goodbye, without even checking the boxes in their bucket list.
So please talk, learn, communicate, live, love.
Today i am a bit closer to myself,
i save myself everyday and for that i am proud.
keep urself clean and keep up with ur basic hygiene (shower every day)
get hungry for knowledge - go to libraries, read in coffee shops, etc.
always be kind and don’t talk crap about people! this is a big one because it really affects ur attitude and the way other people see u
stay organized. an easy way to do this is just to tidy ur room before you go to bed. this way, ur bedroom is more ur sanctuary
do ur hair pretty!! use accessories like scrunchies, headbands, claw clips, etc.
always have your essentials in ur bag (menstrual products, lip gloss, phone, earbuds, whatever makes u feel prepared)
remember that u don’t have to prove anything to others. make urself enough for u personally without worrying what other people think, because chances are they’re focused more on themselves
if u embarrass yourself, laugh it off and stay calm. u are above embarrassment babes, u are divine, so a little slipup won’t matter
have dance parties in ur room to songs that make u feel confident
DONT CHASE ATTRACT
remember that control doesn’t mean controlling other people. control means controlling ur own assumptions
breathe. just breathe. and remember u are beautiful <3
WAKE UP EARLIER. Waking up early looks different for a lot of us, and i’m not going to reccomend waking up at 5am for a lot of us. Whatever time you wake up now, I would suggest waking up 30 minutes or so earlier and see how you feel.
If you feel like you really need those 30 minutes to sleep, then use it sleeping. Whatever time makes you feel like you are at the best, is the perfect time for you. It does take some trial and error to find this time, but it’s worth it.
Another thing, I generally wouldn’t suggest waking up past 10am. If you sleep in a little too much, you do become a bit sluggish during the first hours of your day, but whatever works for you.
SUNLIGHT FIRST THING. Going outside, a hot girl walk or simply opening your windows to allow the sun to come in helps our body to become awake. Natural sunlight is a sign to our bodies that we need to start the day.
This also promotes a healthy rise in cortisol to support our mood, focus and energy. This natural increase in cortisol helps with melatonin production in the evening, which improves the quality of your sleep.
Exposure to unnatural light can disrupt this rhythm, so it’s best to stay away from any devices and turn off of your lights before and after you wake up. Ideally, an hour after you wake up, should be spent device-free. (aside from alarms or setting habit tasks)
NO PROCESSED, CAFFEINATED OR SUGARY FOODS, before you have a proper meal. When we eat these foods before a nutritious meal, it can lead to a spike in cortisol and blood sugar levels first thing in the morning, which leads to crashing in the afternoon after the spike goes down.
When we eat after we wake up, it stabilises our blood sugar levels and replenishes ourselves after our fast. If need to be, meal prep the night before so you can have a quick and easy breakfast. As long as it properly fuels your body.
GENTLE EXERCISES. You’ve just woken up, so you don’t want to rush your body into something too hardcore until you feel like you’re fully awake. Gentle exercises could mean stretching, a light walk or if you’re feeling a bit energised, pilates.
SET INTENTIONS. Set the theme for how you want to feel at the start of the day, during and end. It doesn’t have to be something productive, but a feeling that you want to achieve and maximise and use that feeling in what you do.
For ex. In the morning, I want to feel calm. During the day, I want to feel productive. At the end of the day, I want to feel accomplished.
SHORT TO-DO LISTS! To-do lists that are more than 3 major tasks usually are unmanageable. While you can break down those 3 major tasks, try to avoid having more than 3 major tasks.
If you do have more than 3, consider moving them into a different date if its not urgent or cutting that task completely if its not urgent and unimportant. How you assess the urgency and importance of your tasks is up to you, as you know what productivity means to you.
Remember the basics as well, such as hydration, mindfullness, and at least one fun activity in the morning. Thank you so much for the support, even while I was a bit inactive <3
