I am definitely not the first person to say this but as an autistic person I just wanna say that Licht makes me honestly REALLY FUCKING HAPPY

Whether or not Strike wrote Licht to be Autistic coded I don’t know, but that does NOT stop me from slapping on my neurodivergent headcanon. I love him and he makes me feel seen and I get a HUGE confidence boost because I see him as somebody like me and Licht is SO LOVABLE AND WONDERFUL HONESTLY….

Being Autistic has given me a range of experiences, good and bad, and some parts have made me feel like a burden many times, but Licht honestly is a comfort for me because, since he can be loved and accepted, then I feel like I can too. I feel more proud to be who I am in a way because of him

I’m back from my absolutely bonkers quest. Today’s edition: Kuro’s handheld game console

This is what we’re working with:

I’m Back From My Absolutely Bonkers Quest. Today’s Edition: Kuro’s Handheld Game Console

I’m Back From My Absolutely Bonkers Quest. Today’s Edition: Kuro’s Handheld Game Console

After some observations, I think that Kuro plays with a Sony PSP (Playstation Portable)

Honestly, at first I had NO idea where to start with this one. The only thing that I knew is that it was a handheld gaming console and I honestly didn’t know any brands, but I did remember that Gameboys exist, so I looked at previous Gameboy models from before 2012.

I did end up finding the Gameboy Advance (which came out initially in 2001). Its shape matched enough to consider it later, but I did have my doubts, so I kept looking outside of Gameboys.

At this point… I had COMPLETELY forgotten the term “handheld gaming console”. I was STUCK I tell you. I had no idea what to look up next. But then…. then I saw a fucking Walmart ad for a Sony PSP, and I was like: “Holy shit. That’s the one.” Also, in the name of the product it had stuff about handheld gaming consoles so I was like “OHHHH…. THAT WAS THE TERM!” and then to make sure, I decided to look on the wiki article for handheld gaming consoles for everything up to 2012. Particularly, I was looking for the ones that have the different colored center thing. Kinda like an Oreo, but with really interesting layers.

Besides the Gameboy Advance, I did find two possible candidates: The Sony Playstation Portable and the Playstation Vita.

Gameboy Advance (2001):

Sony Playstation Portable (2004):

I’m Back From My Absolutely Bonkers Quest. Today’s Edition: Kuro’s Handheld Game Console
I’m Back From My Absolutely Bonkers Quest. Today’s Edition: Kuro’s Handheld Game Console

Playstation Vita (2011):

I’m Back From My Absolutely Bonkers Quest. Today’s Edition: Kuro’s Handheld Game Console
I’m Back From My Absolutely Bonkers Quest. Today’s Edition: Kuro’s Handheld Game Console

I quickly eliminated Gameboy Advance from the list for three reasons:

1. The Gameboy Advance has two buttons on the right half of the front of the console, meanwhile Kuro’s has four.

2. The back of the Gameboy Advance has no circle, meanwhile Kuro’s does.

3. The Gameboy Advance’s frame isn’t as slim as Kuro’s console.

Using a similar approach, I ended up being able to eliminate the PS Vita. The reason? The PS Vita has no circle in the back. The Sony PSP still has that circle in the back that Kuro’s has, and seems to still match otherwise when I look back at the design. IT’S EVEN STILL GOT THE BIG SQUARE ON THE BACK SURROUNDING THE CENTER CIRCLE TOO

So yeah Kuro most likely plays on a Sony PSP

Thank you for joining me in my bonkers nerd session

Here’s my in-depth analysis regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

With proper evidence and analysis, I have a theory….. and I spent time fact-checking this analysis (since I originally I figured this out a couple of months back). My findings tell me that Licht’s Nintendo DS is a Nintendo DSi.

For reference, here is what Licht’s DS looks like:

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS
Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

In order to narrow down our answers, first we have to figure out: which ones were already released during the events of Servamp?

From what I can best guess, the events of the C3 arc and everything up until chapter 118 takes place in August of 2012? From what I know, Servamp (or at least the Japanese release of it) was originally released in November of 2011, and the main story’s technology seemed to line up with the technology present in real life at the time. For the most part, it’s easy to find details that point out the date or present spot on the calendar while reading but…. with years, not so much. Also, I can’t find very much on how much of a time skip there was before or after volume 4. However, I do know that on August 31st, 2012, there actually was a full moon, just like what is supposed to happen in the manga (mentioned in chapter 100 I believe, where Tsurugi was discussing with Mahiru some information he learned from Touma). Going with this information, I will be using the estimate for the current events of the manga, which will help us narrow down what generations of Nintendo DS were released before late August 2012.

Here are the ones that I could find that fit in the time frame:

Nintendo DS (November 2004)

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

Nintendo DS Lite (June 2006)

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

Nintendo DSi (November 2008)

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

Nintendo DSi XL (November 2009)

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

Nintendo 3DS (March 2011)

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

Nintendo 3DS XL (July 2012)

Here’s My In-depth Analysis Regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS

Now what I did next with this was analyze the shape of each of these DS models and eliminate any of them without the rectangular shape of Licht’s DS. Due to their far rounder edges and overall thicknesses, I eliminated the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo 3DS XL as a possibility. Now, that leaves us with the Nintendo DSLite, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, and the Nintendo 3DS.

Here is where I thought I reached a crossroad. I thought to myself, “What else is there? What else can I use to differentiate them?”

And then, in a moment of astute observance, I had a realization. I could investigate the volume control.

Right off the bat, I knew I could eliminate the Nintendo DSLite. That is due to the fact that the volume control on Licht’s DS is a set of two buttons, placed on the left side of the DS. On the Nintendo DSLite, however, the volume control is a slider on the bottom of the device. Also, I was able to eliminate the Nintendo 3DS, because although its volume control is on the side of the device, it comes in the form of a slider.

Now, I’m left with the Nintendo DSi and the Nintendo DSi XL. From what I found, the main difference between the two is the size of the screen. Considering that I found that Licht’s DS is drawn with a notably smaller screen, I don’t think that is could have been the XL version.

And now…. that means we’ve finally reached the last possible option. The only DS that could have fit the requirements by the date and the DS features…. is the DSi model. Therefore, I believe that Licht Jekylland Todoroki’s Nintendo DS model is the Nintendo DSi.

Do with this what you will and thank you for reading through my absolutely bonkers analysis/theory/headcanon/ramble

I have a really strange hunch that Sakuya would main Inkling and Isabelle and Tsubaki would main Meta Knight in Super Smash Brothers and both of them would do this just because they know it would get everybody else in the room upset
